Perched on the mezzanine of The Connector at Winthrop Center in Downtown Boston, The Vermilion Club is Chef John Fraser’s modern take on a classic chophouse. The space exudes a vibrant energy, making it the ideal destination for all occasions. Named after Dale Chihuly's masterpiece sculpture above our 55-foot bar, The Vermilion Club embodies a design-forward ethos conceptualized by Thomas Juul-Hansen.

Chef Fraser's Mediterranean heritage shines through in the menu, featuring elevated steakhouse classics and Northeastern favorites. Beverage Director Amy Racine unveils an expansive cocktail lineup featuring over 70 meticulously curated cocktails, reintroducing classic cocktails with a contemporary twist. The pastry program is under the expert guidance of Chef Sofia Schlieben, and her large-format Stout Sticky Toffee Cake takes center stage.

It was a slow night, which we loved but there was a severe who kept on asking us if we were finished. At one point she took out the candle. It was around 11PM…we had a 9PM reservation so we weren’t overstaying our welcome at a place that closes at “5-close”. The night was wonderful except for the time we got asked to leave. Roma was an amazing waiter!

Great spot for a business lunch. Service was outstanding...food was delicious. I would definitely recommend The Vermillion Club to others.

Steak Dinner for Two: The food (dry aged ribeye; hush puppies; creamed spinach; mushrooms) and drinks (various types of cocktails and an extensive scotch selection) were excellent, as was the service. The layout of the restaurant, which spread on a u-shaped balcony above the lobby of an office building was odd and did not impress. As a result, the restaurant had the feel of a large hotel (like eating at the Marriott Marquis in NYC).

Incredible dining experience from start to finish. Our server Mimi was exceptional & the food was outstanding. Highly recommend the crab tagliatelle appetizer. 12/10 !!

Good food but the set up was a little weird, we were in the corner totally separated from everything and also we’re not aware the parking would be $40.

Great food, service and ambiance. Pretty quiet for a weekend evening. Menu is pricey, but not extortionate given the quality of the food.

My husband and I went there for our 9th anniversary and it was such a delightful experience. The service was dedicated and generous. We had very nice interactions. The food was delicious. My husband had the best wagyu beef. Better than very highly acclaimed restaurants. My vegetarian options were also fantastic.

Food was very good. Restaurant is nicely decorated with a beautiful stained glass sculpture hanging from the ceiling. One big problem, the restaurant was empty on a Friday night at 7 pm. We asked the waitress and she said that weeknights are busier with a “corporate crowd,” and weekends are more “mellow. It definitely was mellow.
