   Food are nice and over standard. Good environment but small tables were a bit close to each other.

   this is my 4 times dining at the Verandah, Service was excellent, foods was great and lots of choices especially if you're a seafood lover

   I was spoiled by the buffet at the W hongkong the day before and expected much more out of this one but was really disappointed . Hardly any variety . A little disappointed

   This is one of the 2 best buffets I have ever eaten. In general, I hate buffets since the food there is at most OK, but this buffet is from completely different universe. The only bad thing is their drink set. Besides the fact that you need to pay extra for the drinks, the selection of drinks is very bad: mediocre wine, mediocre sangria (with sugar added !?), cheap beer. This does not fit such a great restaurant at all.

   Had the buffet lunch here - the food quality and variety definitely justified the price. They have the typical sashimi including salmon and scallop. In addition, they had abalone (a famous chinese delicacy) and lobster tail! Environment was relaxing and the service was decent (could be better for a 5 star hotel, but no complaints). We were there for 2 hours and was never rushed. Definitely would recommend to try at least once if in Hong Kong. The famous hotel itself also lives up to its reputation.

   Perfect venue for our last evening in Hong Kong. Impeccable service, beautifully presented buffet, delicious food and a lovely setting. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. There was an excellent variety of food and I thought the drink packages were good value. Especially liked the 'extra courses' of bouillabaisse and the lemon soufflé.

    They have both Asian and Western style food which all look great and tempting. Unfortunately, their taste did not match up. The braised Ox Tongue and Abalone was OK, but other dishes I tried like Salmon Sashimi, Sushi, roast Beef Tenderloin were all tasteless and disappointing. Japanese Cheesecake was dry and crumbly. Even the scone was dry and tasteless and clotted cream was tasteless and so dry that I had a hard time dropping them on my plate! They never refilled our coffee which was awful anyway. I asked for Green Tea after the meal and the server made one pot, poured me one cup, then put the pot on the sideboard far away from us and never offered to refill my cup. So he wasted a pot of excellent tea. Service was cold, distant and snobbish. I do not recommend this restaurant. For the price I paid I expected a lot more. I felt that I was paying for lots of stuff I don't like or need.
