Everything was perfect. Just need bigger coffee cups :)
This was probably my 8th visit to the Veranda. Absolutely love it! Any special occasion calls for a trip to the Veranda. The grounds are beautiful, the food is yummy and the service is wonderful!
My husband and I stopped for brunch. The resturant is beautiful and the food was very good. The food presentation was also beautiful with a flower on your plate. We had both breakfast and lunch. Both iteams were delicious.I will go back again.
This was my first time. A friend treated me to the Sunday Brunch.
The meal was delicious. Walking the beautiful gardens and surrounding grounds was a wonderful experience. I have visited the town of Fallbrook on several occasions and had no idea this beautiful place was here. I will definitely return.
Beautiful ambiance, calm and relaxing while eating a great breakfast! We loved the special touches such as the flowers on our plates, the special attention from our waitress and the ease of ordering when we were ready, made this experience perfect. Thank you!
Great food, open veranda restaurant overlooking beaiputiful, pristine grounds. Can’t get much better than this for a serene, delicious lunch with friends.
I had friends staying at the Welk Timeshare Resort. While the men played golf, my girlfriends and I took a trip to Fallbrook to have lunch at The Grand Tradition. It was a cool (low 60s), but sunny day. The heaters on the veranda kept us comfortably warm. The environment was relaxing and perfect for quiet conversation. The tables had linen tablecloths and napkins and the chairs were quite comfortable. The menu offered a good variety of food selections and nice wine choices as well The food was fresh, colorful, well-prepared and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and since my friends were visiting from Chicago and Kansas City, it was particularly enjoyable to have an outdoor meal in early March.
Service was very slow and inattentive. Disappointing first experience.
Celebrating good health with friends undergoing chemo
Absolutely beautiful grounds. Great food and great service! My folks and I had a lovely, peaceful lunch.
My favorite place ever! The most beautiful scenery sitting outside on the lovely Veranda over looking the pond and manicured gardens. Wonderful food and a menu providing a wide variety of choices and very reasonably priced.
After lunch or brunch, you can walk through the fabulous colorful gardens. A perfect day!
The food was wonderful! The view and ambiance were perfect!
very very nice garden view with fountain. Food portion is proper. Love the avocado egg roll and waffle. The prime rib sandwich was a little heavy and the french toast was a bit over sweet. Great service, friendly staff. Very good experience overall.
I love this place! It’s perfect always
The Veranda offers picturesque views of the lovely landscaped grounds. There's plenty of shade on the veranda. The service is excellent and the ambiance is quiet and peaceful. I gave the food a 4 because I ordered the avocado omelette and found it to be bland. My daughter ordered the beignettes and loved them! The avocado rolls were exceptionally good!
Beautiful place, nice ambiance, and very nice people that work there. Food was good. Gardens are lovely to walk around.
The setting is so beautiful, who wouldn't want to eat here. Unfortunately there was some confusion between the waitresses about who was serving our table, so after twenty five minutes we had to ask someone to help us. The food was good and the menu is varied.
TRULY A NEIGHBORHOOD GEM TUCKED AWAY IN A SLICE OF PARADISE. GARDENS AND LAKE ARE PRISTINE AND FOOD AND SERVICE 5 STAR. WISH THEY WERE OPEN FOR DINNER TOO. CHECK OUT THE SUMMER JAZZ CONCERTS HERE AS WELL.
Crystal was excellent. We enjoy the food, atmosphere and service every time we go. We love it.
It took a long time for us to get our food, and it came out warm. The portions were small and one of the order's was incorrect. They apologized and offered to bring the item out after most of the meal was gone. Then they charged us full price for the item.
One of the best places in town...so beautiful is the scenery, a wide variety of menu selections, and Chrystal is a great server...friendly, helpful and efficient.
Great food, great views
The menu is simple, not very large, and our meal was alright. The kitchen made several mistakes on our order, but the waitress was very good and not to blame for the meal being "so so." Were offered two deserts on the house for the kitchen's error. Atmosphere is amazing-especially with cooler weather. Will return again, with family and friends. A great little secret hidden away in Fallbrook.
Had been there long before, but were anxious to see if it still appealed to us. We knew the gorgeous nature of the environment but wanted to see if the food could match. We were overwhelmed by the quantity, quality, flavor and price, and will most certainly return soon!
Such a beautiful place to go to. Doesnt matter the reason just a great getaway. Seating over looks the lake as you get to see all the birds fly by, flowers, and full of life trees. The servers and other workers are all great. They help eachother out and always check in at a great time. Lovely place. Highly reccomend.
Beautiful surroundings, great service, the beignets were wonderful!
We enjoyed our lunch as a family. They made special gf food for our daughter.
The veranda was beautiful. Dominic the general manager was great & our server Crystal was very attentive. Our brunch selection was delicious.
the Grand Tradition is a wonderful little treasure in Fallbrook. the Beverly Mansion is beautiful and currently decorated for the holidays. The gardens are gorgeous as were the lake and waterfalls. Dining at The Veranda restaurant was a special treat and food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
After a little slow service, things picked up and we had wonderful service, food was great and we enjoyed a cart tour of the entire venue after brunch. Reasonable prices.
A great place to enjoy brunch with family. Very limited seating and operating hours, but worth it if you can reserve a table. They have a few tables for 2 and twice as many tables for up to 6 at each. Food was excellent and had balance among the ingredients and served hot. There was a slight lull in service but it picked up (with only 4 tables to serve on Sat morning.) During November, there is no worries about the sun glaring onto the porch, although I am not sure if it is an issue during the warmer months.
We celebrated our anniversary here after getting married at this location. Great food, atmosphere, and service. Very affordable and will do it again soon! Wonderful date.
My husband and I dined here for our one-year wedding anniversary. Grand Tradition provides a $30 dining credit for brunch or lunch at The Veranda Restaurant during your wedding month every year for the rest of your lives as part of their Ring Corps program when you get married at Grand Tradition.
The Veranda Restaurant is outdoor dining with a beautiful view of the lake attached to the Beverly Mansion. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They provide a complimentary fruit and veggie crudite platter with a yogurt dip for the fruit and a savory, creamy dip for the veggies. I loved the avocado egg roll appetizer. It came with a side of chipotle aioli that added a tasty southwestern flavor. We also tried the mushroom brie bisque, cuban sandwich and wellington benedict. The bisque and cuban were passable. The bisque needed more flavor and the butter pickles overpowered the sandwich. Would definitely recommend the benedict.
Again, loved the ambiance and will definitely return as long as we can make the drive. It is always nice to "take a walk down memory lane" around the venue and reminisce about our wedding day too!
I had friends in town and wanted them to experience the beautiful grounds at the Veranda Restaurant. They almost cancelled; however, they agreed to stay and were so happy they did. They said afterward, that if they had gone home when they intended, they would have really missed something. Our waitress, Crystal, was adorable and even wrapped up leftovers with a fresh flower (what a pleasant surprise). The cost is very reasonable as well. It is definitely a wonderful surprise. I wish they were open more often. it is worth the wait.
We were a group of 4. We started with bruschetta and the portabella bites and then each had sandwiches which were very tasty and a good value. The homemade chips were under seasoned. The men in our group had French fries and potato salad both of which were ok but nothing special. The other woman in our group rated the sweet potato fries very highly. The good was a very good value for the money. Each of us brought 1/2 of the sandwich home for another meal. We shared two flourless chocolate cakes which we enjoyed. We enjoyed walking the garden ground afterwards. Admission was reduced from $7 to $2.50 because we had eaten there. This was the first trip for 3 of the 4 of us. We all agreed we would return.
As feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Dining the way it should be...a peaceful setting which allows for conversation with excellent service and tasteful food that is prepared with care. Very enjoyable experience.
This is unique place to have brunch. The surrounding grounds are immaculate and an inspiration for the eye. The restaurant, located on the veranda, is also unusual. Every table, spread across the veranda, has a beautiful view and is elegantly set with a white table cloth and fresh fruit. The friendly service was attentive but not oppressive. You'll find the food delicious and fairly priced and the wine list adequate and affordable. If you go, get there early so you can stroll the gardens and maybe take walk around the lake.
This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever dined! The grounds are breathtaking. It was so relaxing sitting out on the veranda, looking at the lovely scenery. The added bonus was taking the garden walk, for $2.50 p/p. Well worth it! Great spot for taking scenic pictures. We will most definitely be back!
An amazingly beautiful peaceful place. Spectacular grounds and sitting on the veranda having lunch was perfect! Will definitely go back. The food was fabulous and they were more than willing to accommodate our special food needs! Loved it!!
The food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered an eggs Benedict dish and the eggs were basically hard boiled! Yuck! My mother ordered quiche and she got a bowl of scrambled eggs with a pastry puff on top. The scenery was beautiful. The service was terrible. Our waitress would disappear for 20 minutes at a time.
