The Veranda Restaurant
A gorgeous setting with excellent service and the most delicious food! It is beautifully presented, also. Everyone must eat here! Don't miss it; you'll be sorry if you do
This is a quiet old home that is used for wedding and party venues and also open to the public for weekend brunch and lunches. We had a good lunch of chicken salad wrap that was very large and tasty. Of course we sat on the veranda and enjoyed the view of the lake and grounds. This is a throwback to times when people slowed down to enjoy such things. Had a lovely lunch and would recommend for a nice date or group luncheon.
We always Love our experience at Grand Tranditions.
It isn't just about lunch on The Veranda, but the entire experience that goes along with it. The atmosphere and ambience combined with the delicious food, beautiful presentation and wonderful service, make it my first choice for a lovely afternoon.
My only suggestion would be to have a hostess to seat you. We stood there for close to 10 minutes feeling awkward and embarrassed before one of the servers broke away, greeted us and said someone would be out to seat us shortly.
Great meal with a spectacular view and reasonable prices!!
I’ve already recommended it to a bunch of people, who all want to go there now! So serene, birds chirping, beautiful surroundings, excellent food and service. We took a walk thru the gardens afterward, which they let you do for free if you eat at the Veranda.
Awesome brunch! Everything was great. The gardens were beautiful. I want to go again.
It is now our favorite luncheon destination. You can't beat the combination of food, service, and scenery.
But please keep it a secret :)
The Veranda is such a relaxing, beautiful restaurant for brunch or lunch! The view of the grounds is lovely. Our meals were delicious and were served with such a beautiful presentation. We felt, though, that we were being rushed out. Service was a little slow to start, but at the end it picked up and they moved us out quickly. We'll definitely return, because the food and atmosphere is amazing!
Love this place. View is spectacular and the food is always amazing!
This is truly a special venue. Service was impeccable, the food was beautifully presented, although a bit under seasoned, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. The stroll through the gardens was wonderful. This was my second visit and I am sure I will return.
Had to wait 15 minutes for a table that was empty. The mushroom caps were not good - we were expecting stuffed mushrooms and they were over fried. They were out of chicken salad wraps. Otherwise, all other food was delicious and setting was beautiful. We will return. Thank you.
ALWAYS love going to this amazing venue. It is SO beautiful, peaceful, and candy to my eyes. Not to forget the service ... always excellent.
Delicious food in a beautiful with an incredibly attentive waitstaff!
Beautiful view and delicious food. Excellent discreet service.
The place is as beautiful as ever. This time the service was really really slow. We waited for an hour before our brunches were served.
This is my second time (2 consecutive weekends) having brunch here and bringing different friends each time. Our server was Alexis (twice in a row) and provided excellent service as the first time. This place is excellent from the time you check in for your reservation until you leave. The ambiance is absolutely wonderful and a tour the whole property after brunch is just amazingly wonderful.
I will be going back next week to celebrate another friend's birthday and I can't wait to hear her amazement like my other 2 friends.
Stunning view, beautiful set up, friendly waiters, delish food!
We will be back!
This place is fabulous! It offers such a serene dining atmosphere enjoying the view of the gardens. After brunch, we’re able to walk the grounds which was amazingly beautiful.
Very unique location, out on the porch. Great food, good service.
Fantastic food, value, and location. Beautiful, serene setting to have lunch or brunch.
Shh, this is our new favorite lunch spot for bringing out of town guests, don't tell anyone. The food, the service are above reproach, and the walk around the garden is spectacular. A very quiet spot that provides that seldom found charm in a restaurant.
I have visited the Veranda twice now. First visit was excellent food. My choice of food was not as satisfying than my first visit. I had the Prime Rib sandwich on my second visit.
The location is beautiful but the menu is uninspired. There were no pasta or fish dishes and the chicken and salad dishes were pedestrian. The waiters were very polite but clearly poorly trained. They seemed eager to please but lacked the knowledge to give good service.
The food is yummy! Love the view! Great service and friendly servers. Love their coffee:)
Fantastic food, great service and wonderful view! It was great!
The food was delicious. Large portions and nice presentation. Service was great. We will be back.
Doesn't get any better than eating a delicious meal with a beautiful view. The server was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely visit again.
The food was "ok", the desserts were expensive but mediocre. We enjoyed the beautiful outdoor views. Service was ok.
Lovely porch dining, surrounded with a view of beautiful grounds. An absolute gem. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to the beautiful venue. Prime rib sandwich was substandard, fries soggy and deserts did not live up to their names. I’ll definitely be back, but hope the kitchen can step up to match the view.
The Veranda is a truly one of a kind restaurant. Reasonably, priced, classy, and the service is top notch. I fully recommend this restaurant to anyone and my personal tip: the chicken cordon blue sand which is so good it should be illegal.
Took out of town guests. They were impressed with the food and tour of the wedding venues. The servers were busy, but if they notice some one using a cane, they should seat them quickly, not leaving them standing for five or more minutes. Also, customers should turn their loud phone rings down, or better off. The phone at the next table kept ringing. So inconsiderate!
As always, we enjoyed our visit to the Veranda Restaurant. We not only had an amazing meal but the walk of the grounds is breathtaking as well. I had the Tri-Tip Burger and it was amazing. My wife had the Wellington Benedict and it too was mouth watering. We brought Mom here for the first time and she was simply amazed.
The Veranda Restaurant is a beautiful location in Fallbrook, at the Grand Tradition. The view is outstanding
and the menu offers quite a variety of choices. Since they all sounded delicious, it was hard to choose, but I
did, and enjoyed every morsel. Thank you for creating a beautiful venue with an incredible view to gaze upon, while enjoying a memorable meal.
This is a very special place! The food is delicious and unique and beautifully presented. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous!
I took my husband there for lunch-a rare treat for us. It was very nice and excellent food and service. He had not eaten there before and he was impressed with the food! (He is a bit of a skeptic!)
food was great - service was not. But the view is how the whole world should look!
I planned a Christmas lunch for myself and three friends. We had a lovely time and plan to make it a holiday tradition. Food, and especially ambiance is outstanding! Beautiful property, great food and service.
To be honest, I was expecting a higher quality of food. For the location, the necessity for reservation, the formal waiting/seating area, I felt that the food was subpar for the rest of the experience. Additionally, the very small seating area we were in took navigating narrowly between another groups table and a very large tree, which seemed awkward and for the disabled, potentially dangerous.
Food needs to be improved, menus is missing some fancy items and it should allow substitutions.
We were a little disappointed with the lack of decor for Christmas. We made our reservation in advance for the holiday season hoping the place would be decorated beautifully, but the place didn’t even look good for any time of year. The seasonal color plants were weak at the entrance and the hanging baskets at the veranda. Although, the food was good and the service seems to have improved. The one problem was our check was dropped before asking for our dessert order. It looked like the party next to us had more guests arrive and they wanted our table, so no offer for dessert which we were interested in. Our party also felt like we were not greeted with warmth and friendliness. No good morning just do you have reservation. Our guests commented on the lack of friendliness at our approach as if we were not wanted.
