The Veranda Restaurant
brought out of town guests and they loved it! The food was outstanding and so fresh. Our salads were very generous portions and looked like art. Grounds are beautiful and restaurant is quiet. I have been here before and will continue to bring more friends, so that they may experience it.
Wonderful view of the grounds from the veranda. Very pleasant lunch with good food, good drinks & great staff. Will return.
Stazi was sensational. Acted like a friend making food recommendations . Was constantly making sure we had everything we needed. Could not have been a better dining experience
We had a delightful lunch at the Veranda. The food was exceptionally prepared and our servers were gracious and polite. The view was outstanding. This was a special occasion with my 91 year old mother and she could not have been happier with our choice. We will return again to the Veranda for another wonderful lunch.
WONDERFUL FOOD AND BEAUTIFUL VIEW. GARDEN TOUR IS A MUST AFTER BRUNCH
A very enjoyable brunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Only thing that was a little tough is talking with just 2 people at a table for 6. Our server was wonderful and the view cannot be beat. And the shade and fans made the 97 degree temp not an issue.
The food was fresh and well presented. Great service all around.
I had the Wellington Benedict and it was the best Benedict I have ever had. What threw it over the top was the puff pastry as the base. DELICIOUS
We always look forward to visiting The Veranda. We live out of the area so we only have a few opportunities each year. The food is always great, as is the service and the ambiance.
Was hoping to have Brunch when we went on a Friday at 11. Didn't realize they only serve brunch on sat/Sunday. So we had lunch items. My food was good I had the club panini. Husband's burger was a tad dry but he still enjoyed it. Service was on point.
Might want to consider a new dishwasher. More than half the glasses at our table had specs of food or lipstick on them from previous guests. Starting to make me worry since I’m having my wedding there in December. Also, the “prime rib” sandwich wasn’t fresh. We could easily tell that it was being reheated on a flat top grill. It was supposed to be a lunch date for my mom so she could get a taste of the food options before our wedding. But we should have stuck to your brunch/breakfast options. Other than those minor things, the service was great. And I’m still looking forward to our big day.
The food was fantastic! Of course, the view was lovely and we had a wonderful time there! We were all so happy that the prices are reasonable. That will make us go back again and again! The only reason it wasn't totally quiet was because there were two small children at the table next to us and their mother had a very loud voice! After they left, it was very pleasant!
We went to Veranda restaurant for our wedding anniversary brunch. We made a reservation almost a month in advance. It's a beautiful place in a paradise like setting .
The menu options are wonderful, a lot of choices for any taste. Food was very skillfully prepared, service was very friendly, helpful and efficient.
We already made another reservation for next month to go for brunch with a group of friends.
It was my birthday celebration with a group of 4 persons. Enjoyed our experience at this venue. Apparently it is an excellent venue for weddings and special "evening" occasions. I HIGHLY recommend this venue!
The Veranda is always consistently good. Reservations are required well in advance and they are worth the wait. We love introducing the Veranda to friends.
Drove north from hot, dry San Diego North County along scenic Old Hwy 395 to your astonishing "Eden". We thought we'd died and gone to a perfect Spring day!! Loved the Cobb Salad and the super-refreshing effervescent white wine with lime slice. There were three of us celebrating our birthdays together and this was just the best way to do it!
Venue was beautiful!!
Having misters might be a good solutions for summer heat especially since there is no indoor dinning. But the fans worked ok.
Had a new server, a young lady, very eager to please and speak spanish with my guests, however I was doing the ordering in English for them and she insisted on asking them in Spanish therefore part of the order was confused, requiring an additional wait time for a different sandwich. No problem. Also I did not see a "Handicap" ramp thru the Main or side entrance to the restaurant, luckily my guest did not use a wheelchair only walking assistance.
Overall it was a very nice experience. Thank you.
The Veranda Restaurant needs to have more outdoor fans or have your customers sit just inside of the air-conditioned doors during the summer months.
My poor girlfriend I (it was her birthday) were stuck to our seats from sweat and the poor waitresses and waiters were sweating through their uniforms as well.
So despite the view and the good food it made the overall experience very unpleasant.
We drove up from downtown SD that morning and planned to spend the afternoon wine tasting in Fallbrook after brunch, but ended up cutting our plans short just so we could go home shower and change :-(
BEAUTIFUL outside seating, yet rather hot in summer.
I have been to the Veranda on several occasions and I just love the atmosphere. The grounds are so manicured and beautiful, I love being near water, and the food is out of this world so delicious. My friends and I love that there are flowers on everything you order, how special is that. I will continue to bring more of my friends to experience how great it is here.
Great place for a lunch dat for 2-4 people the outdoor seating is beautiful..
Always excellent! Go there all the time and am never disappointed
Great food, service and beautiful lake and landscaping.
We loved the property and restaurant it is a beautiful setting. Everything was delicious!
I noted on open table and told our waitress that we were celebrating a 50th Anniversary and she did nothing to make it festive! Why do you ask what occasion we are celebrating if you don’t give a special dessert or even have a candle to put on a dessert that we purchase?
As we were sitting there another waiter had brought out a dessert with a candle for a birthday celebration! Needless to say I wasn’t too happy about our waitress and her disposition! I explicitly asked her what she could do to recognize the occasion. She said something about sprinkles. We ordered our desserts and still no sprinkles! I did not want to make a fuss about it in front of my guests and that’s why I’m telling you now.
I will return but hoping to get another waiter/ waitress!
The setting is lovely and the service is exceptional. My only complaint is that I wish there were a larger selection of Vegan eats. There is a sandwhich and a salad as long as I ask the cheese to be removed. All the desserts have egg or dairy. I was able to order bruschetta as a starter but had to request it be prepare without cheese. I would expect more creative Vegan choices with the quality of this restaurant.
Not ideal for summer dining. Too warm. Best time to come when temperatures are cooler
Absolutely fabulous food, service, facility, views and ambience!!!
The only thing I would change would be to have a fan blowing on us to defuse the outside temperature or schedule an earlier time prior to 10:45.
It is a spectacular venue with a scrumptious menu and impeccable wait staff.
Stanza was the best!
An extreme disappointment. The service left much to be desired. The food was good. The overall experience was poor. The heat and bad service was definitely not worth the decent food and view.
Just love this place! Such a beautiful setting, and a very special experience! The food is beautifully presented, delicious and reasonably priced! We will definitely return!
Super attentive staff, good food reasonable pricing. Breath taking views around the property.
This place is Amazing. Our waiter Stazi was very attentive, the food is delicious and very well priced. The view of the lake is so peaceful and tranquil. My 12 year old said she can stay there all day. It was worth the hour and a half drive. I love this place.
The food was truly disappointing. The beignets were very dense and tough. Hard as rocks. The service was incredibly slow. The seats are in the sun until about noon and we were very uncomfortable due to this. Yes the view is beatiful, but at the end of your meal they tell you if you want to go walk around the lake you have to pay $2.50 per person! This is ridiculous considering we just paid for a meal. I would not recommend coming here. Just lousy food in a pretty setting. We were there for a birthday which I let them know, and they didn’t do anything special or acknowledge.
Beautiful restaurant and very relaxing
Excellent! Enjoy bringing & meeting friends there for lunch
Overcharged on my bill ($14 instead of $12 ea. for two prime rib sandwiches)
Couldn't get water sauce and ketchup until the meal was "over"!! Waiter was nice to start..and then went to serve a larger party..and never came back until he served the bill! Had to ask other servers to help us.
Waiter had offered crudite, which we asked for. It was never served!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been here many times. Never had such a poor experience!

We felt very fortunate to have gotten a table at the last minute. And it was a great lunch. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. The food was the best. The scenery was beautiful, as always. Thank you for a wonderful 50th anniversary lunch.
The food was delicious and the grounds were beautiful. We cannot wait to come back.
We had a wonderful lunch with out of town friends. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The food was excellent.
Great ambiance, great service, food is well presented but nothing great to
