A multiple James Beard Award nominee and Food & Wine Best New Chef (2008), Ethan is the founder and CEO of Ethan Stowell Restaurants, the creative force behind more than 20 beloved Seattle spots including Tavolàta, Goldfinch Tavern, and How to Cook A Wolf. Beyond the restaurant world, he’s also a passionate advocate for healthy food in schools as a member of Eat Real’s Chef’s Council. This one-night-only dinner will feature a custom collaborative menu with Casia’s own Chef Jason Wilson, expertly paired wine courses and final plating and presentation live in our Cascade Room.     The Casia Lodge and Ranch tucked away in a small town of Twisp. It’s a truly retreat experience. Quaint and beautiful. Overall an awesome experience. The accommodation was exceptional, Chef Jason is skillful and his food involving precision and creativity. It encompasses the preparation of ingredients, the execution of recipes, and the management of a kitchen team, all while ensuring the highest quality and consistency of the food produced. The staff and service were exceptional.

    Chef Jason is a wizard with flavor profiles and his team was also top notch. Hyper local ingredients and such a vibe of respect and joy. We were well cared for and delighted with our meal!

    Maybe this restaurant is all about the tasting menu, which we didn’t try, only because of dietary limitations. Instead we ordered two different pastas from the main menu. Sadly, they were both fairly flavorless. Quite surprising considering the “world class resort” status. We really enjoyed the bread and the “shots” of soup before the main course. The cocktails were also good. Service was alright, but it was hard to shake the feeling we weren’t welcome. Perhaps two men dining together out in far-flung Washington state isn’t commonplace, but it seemed as though we were treated as others. The chef came and spoke with every other table except ours. This was likely because others ordered the tasting menu. Even so, we didn’t know this and it felt additionally unwelcoming. The breakfast the next morning was almost completely inedible; weird flavorless rubbery egg things and pastries that were so not good. Also, not great if you are a vegetarian or have allergies. Eggs were green and although, probably fine, after trying all the other disgusting options, could not stomach. We opted to not eat there the following day, and go into town for the bakery instead, which is what I would recommend. I would never return here, even though the location is beautiful and the lodge itself, although run down in spots, was charming. Probably a good place to visit if you are interested in a mediocre experience and fit whatever mold is expected of you. I wish them the best.

    The lamb chops were perfect with great wine. The Chef and crew were very nice.

    The overall experience was really wonderful. Our table was positioned so we both had a view of the mountains and rolling hills. The food was delicious and also perfectly executed. Our server was really nice and took good care of us. We celebrated our anniversary and are looking forward to coming back regularly.

    We celebrated my husband's birthday at The Veranda! Especially loved the truffle fries, harissa carrots, fire-roasted beets and pasta special. View of the field and moutains was stunning!

    Beautiful setting! We had attentive service and the food, while on the heavy side, was 4 stars. My hubby wanted the short ribs but they had to substitute a skirt steak. He said it was ok- not worth $48. The caesar salad and truffle fries were good. As was my pasta special. I prefer food that is less rich, with cleaner flavors. The portions were good sized. We enjoyed the evening and thank you!

    We did not like the waitress, not friendly, didn’t explain the menu. He offered us alcohol drinks but didn’t explain that it is not included in the branch menu. He didn’t bring tea or coffee or juice. We liked the view, pastry (not too sweet!) ,food was good.

    Enjoyed the selection of pastries served with our brunch. Choice of entries for brunch was excellent. The lemon ricotta ravioli were light and served with a generous amount of sauce.
