Great experience with fantastic food.
Beautiful decor and great relaxing dinner music.
The food was excellent, we got the sea bass king crab, ribeye steak, shrimp cocktail, mushroom truffle pizzette which was very large for an appetizer could of been a meal, all dinners were large portions and the deserts were good too. Our waiter was great with my daughter. She went through the menu and broke it down to her which helped her decide.
Last minute we added a 5th person to our reservation, open table said not available we just called the restaurant, so if open table says they can’t fit you or your requested time always call the restaurant to see what they say.
The crab cakes were amazing. NO filling. Red skin potatoes underwelmed by them. Husband had Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster claws excellent.
My Strawberry Fields drink tasted like juice, not very strong. Wine great.
Desserts: Wanted Carrot Cake and disappointed they didn't have but creme brulee was excellent and flourless chocolate cake was good and very filling. We were the only ones in the restaurant until dessert. Very nice atmosphere. A little pricey but went for our Anniversary so willing to spend more.
Everything was amazing. Try the crab cakes
Went for the first time during Greensburg Restaurant week. The atmosphere was elegant, but comfortable. The bar menu is fabulous. I ordered a cucumber mojito- it was refreshing. the beef and barley soup was very good, but broth was a little thick. Both salad choices hit the mark-the mesclun salad was wonderful with lots of ingredients including farrow and pecans. I ordered the lobster tail meal. Would have preferred two instead of one. It came with a generous amount of fettuccini alfredo and a small portion of asparagus. I felt this was the right choice with many other restaurants competing for business this week.
The venue is my new favorite place to go and Greensburg. My husband and I had drinks from the bar and shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. We both chose the jumbo lump crab cakes for our entrée and I have never had a better crabcake in my life.. Lastly we shared crème brûlée for dessert it was velvety deliciousness. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant, you will not be disappointed! I do not mind paying upscale menu prices as long as the portions are generous and the food is delicious and both expectations were exceeded. We will be back soon.
It was the second time we had dinner here and both times the food was great and the waitress was awesome but the bartender was sooo slow! It wasn’t busy and he only paid attention to the guests at the bar. Another couple that came in in front of us sat at the bar and was served and finished their drinks and was about another 5-10 minutes before getting us our drinks. Our waitress kept apologizing but it wasn’t her fault because she’s not allowed to go behind the bar. The bartender needs to multitask better.
Food was very good. Oysters and shrimp cocktail as appetizers. My wife had twin tails, and I had the Halibut. Service was attentive and good. Food was a bit slow out of the kitchen, but it was a busy Saturday night. Overall above average experience and will return!
The food was good, but a little too salty. It was also very pricey. I would have preferred a few simple choices, but there were a number of classy choices. We would probably eat there again sometime but not as a regular stop.
We had crab cake for an appetizer and it was the best we've ever tasted. That was only a sign of what was to come. My wife and I both had the surf and turf and the filet couldn't have been more tender. The table for two in the corner was ideal and our waitress was great. Parking was a slight issue but the lot across the street was ample and only $1.00. Definitely will return.
Staff was friendly, made you feel welcome. Very attentive. Decor was very nice, tastefully done . Food was excellent, prepared expertly. Delicious.
We found the overall experience to be exceptional. The restaurant was beautiful, the atmosphere was great and the meal was fantastic. Drinks were great and professionally presented as were our meals. The only poor or lacking part of our experience was the Hostess. We felt as though she hated being there and was extremely unwelcoming. Her attitude was a definite detriment to an otherwise incredible experience.
Food was delicious and portions are large. Real unique atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and attentive to all our need. We have a gluten allergy in our family and their GF crab cakes are worth the trip. Definitely will dine again.
My wife and I were very pleased to have a fine restaurant back in this Greensburg location. The welcoming was very friendly and to our delight we were given one a romantic table for two. The menu had many intriguing items. We both began with the onion soup which we both thought was outstanding. I ordered a Caesar salad which was as good as LaMont's, my personal standard. For a main course I had the halibut and jumbo shrimp. The halibut was done perfectly as was the asparagus, the jumbo shrimp were slightly overdone but overall the dish was brilliant and served on an elegant glass, fish shaped dish. My wife had the jumbo shrimp prepared with black noodles. She loved it. Portions were generous. We took home leftovers of the black noodle dish and ordered the recommended carrot cake to have at home. service was terrific making it a marvelous experience.
Food was excellent, portions large, nice atmosphere. Will be back
The atmosphere is really nice, and the food was good (lamb was excellent, halibut was good). I was put off by the slow bar service, and the fact that I was given a specialty cocktail menu, asked if I wanted a cocktail (which I did) and then told that they weren't serving specialty cocktails that night. In the meantime I had full view of the bar where two bar tenders were serving one couple and mostly just standing around. Given the full experience it was not worth the price -- at least that evening. I would recommend with that caveat.
Wonderful new restaurant (formerly 111) in Greensburg. Visited for the Valentine's Day chef's menu which was excellent. They make an array of fancy cocktails, the servers were friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner came by to deliver a rose to every couple. The ambiance is basically "Rat Pack" era and style, which worked for us. When busy it's a noisy place, at least on the side that also hosts the bar area.
Wonderful service and food was delicious
High end eatery. The food was excellent. (Crab cakes and Halibut) Very pleasant and competent bartender (Mike) and server (Adrienne).
This place has a lot of potential. However the front of the house and the back of the house need to learn to work together. My reservation was handled poorly- seating took over a half an hour, first drink arrived after courses started, and the appetizer plate of carpaccio was not as advertised. Entree of halibut was good.
This dining experience was superior. The ambiance is inviting, the cocktails and bar service top notch and our meals, delicious. The wine selection is interesting and not too steep and the service is sharp and professional. We will definitely return. Cheers to the Venue!
Service was a bit slow but the food was excellent! We will be back!
Dinner with friends, one visiting from Dallas! Excellent experience
Felt it was over priced and the guest were quite elderly. Service was attentive and friendly yet we won’t be back
Everything was excellent, dinner was outstanding. Also, very accommodating and attentive to food allergies. Service was also excellent. Will be going back soon!!
The Venue had a set menu for New Years. We did not know this while making a reservation and it was missing from their website as far as we can tell. Although the food was great the pricing seemed to be a bit out of kilter. Had The Venue offered entertainment maybe it would have changed our minds with regard to pricing. The Cons: Food not hot enough in general, the mashed potatoes were rather cold in the center, the beef tenderloin appetizer was a bit small compared to the other appetizers offered, ordered steak medium and it came out medium/rare....
The Pros: Excellent architecture on the inside and much attention to detail, Christmas decorations were wonderful and nostalgic, environment was nice and quiet, server staff was friendly, food was presented fashionably and very appealing.
Bottom-line: Beautiful place to take your spouse and friends or celebrate a special occasion, pricing to food value was not in line, surprised by fixed menu when the standard menu looks brilliant and contains selections you just cannot find anywhere in the area.
We will take another look and return to the Venue for Valentines Day with different friends as we want to try out some of the more interesting menu items which set The Venue apart from the rest of the pack....
For now, we recommend coming in and trying this one-of-a-kind establishment out.
The restaurant has just opened. They need to work out some of the kinks. They definitely need more wait staff. The food was VERY slow to come out, which was not the fault of the waitress, but the kitchen help.
The food was good, but not fabulous.
I liked the decor, but didn’t like seeing a TV on at the bar when sitting in a nice dining room with white tablecloths.
Additionally, I didn’t like the waitress setting a cold bottle of water on our table for us to pour. At a nice restaurant, this should be done by the waitstaff.
We will try the restaurant again, but will wait a while so they have a chance to work out their problems.
Food was good but didn’t come out hot. Flavor was good
