   Wonderful experience. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Plate presentation was great and food tasted delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp appetizer. We’ll definitely dine here again.

   Maybe it was just the evening we went. Made reservations and weren’t on the list or they never checked. No hostess at the front for 10mins. Walked out and found them smoking by the pub. Food was very amateur, mediocre? Chicken was dry, and thin. Baked potato dry, burnt, just pathetic looking. The Cobb salad looked like my 6 year old made it.

   We made a reservation because we wanted to take our moms somewhere nice for an early Valentine dinner. We arrived and no one was there to greet us. We were the only ones in the restaurant which was weird. Our reservation was at 1:00 and it was strictly brunch menu which was completely unexpected not how we had planned to treat our mothers. So we wanted to order hot tea or decaf coffee. The waitress had never heard of decaf coffee and they did not have hot tea - with a brunch menu. The waitress never brought water and finally brought it for just 2 of us. She also told us about this amazing sounding heart shaped cheesecake for dessert. Then after dinner we all wanted to order and they were out - there was no one else there! It was our first experience at the Venetian and definitely a disappointment. Not sure we will return

   We ate in the restaurant, very nice setting in a old home. We were only in there with one other couple so it was very quiet, but I suspect it could be fairly noisy if a full house. Menu was simple but felt complete. Service was excellent. My steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare. No ribeye on the menu but for a strip it was very good. Wife's fried chicken was slightly dry but the homemade ranch helped it along quite nicely. You could dress up or down and feel comfortable there. Definitely worth a visit if you have never been.

   Right up to & including my arrival I continually received erroneous communications confirming my reservation for two. I never said anything about a party of two. It was always for myself alone. I repeatedly changed the reservation on "Open Table" from two back to one. Needless to say, I was concerned when I arrived to check in & a staff member asked: "A party of two?" The restaurant, as always, was very elegantly appointed. Everything from the furniture, curtains, & art work on the walls all added up to what could easily be a 5 STAR establishment. For this place to reach the 5 STAR status it clearly has potential for, they must urgently consider two changes. 1) Adopt & enforce a dress code for employees & patrons - no jeans, tshirts, flip flops, leggings - coat & tie for gentleman patrons 2) Invest in new silverware. I was almost shocked to see silverware that looked like it had been salvaged from a high school cafeteria.

   We had a great family dinner and the food was delicious. Waitress was very efficient and made sure we had everything we needed. Been there several times and it was great every time.

    Had our daughter’s 16th birthday dinner there with 5 of her friends. Food and service was excellent. Waitress was very accommodating as we took our own cake and she was happy to provide us with plates etc

    I hate to be this person, but the service was awful, food came plated incorrectly, and the food was mediocre at best. When addressing the food missing items an being plated incorrectly the waitress said she was aware. Wouldn’t recommend.

    Service at the restaurant was very good. The hostess was also our server as we were the first and only guests dining from 4-5pm. Lovely setting. Oddly, we were seated by the kitchen service door with staff coming in and out even though there was literally every other table available away from the door where we could have been seated. The Venetian Old Fashioned was very well crafted and I would recommend it. Silverware looked like it was from a school cafeteria; didn’t match, bent prong and covered with water spots. The house salad - bagged salad mix with bagged shredded cheddar, cucumber and tomato was not what you would expect at such an establishment. The blue cheese dressing was good but served on the side in a disposable plastic container with a plastic lid. The entree was described as a crusted Florida grouper with pineapple salsa and orzo. There was no orzo to be found and the grouper was a very thin cut with a soggy breadcrumb coating, pineapple salsa and another plastic container with some tartar sauce. Our sides were the southern green beans which were largely mush and the smoked Gouda Mac n cheese which tasted fine but was cold. Finally, we shared a piece of chocolate cake which had a rich flavor though a little dry and hard. I hesitated to post a negative review in that I truly want to see quality local businesses flourish. Sadly, the attempt to be a fine dining experience missed the mark. That being said, they do have a pub and perhaps that is more successful and something I’ll try in the future.

    While the food is good, we always show on days where it’s brunch instead of actual lunch or dinner. Service was extremely poor and there was only one other table of guests the whole 1.5 hours we were there. We waited 50 min for breakfast food for a table of 4, while the other table of guests had already eaten. Entryway doors were left open and flies flew in, servers/hosts didn’t even notice. Drinks went unfilled and unchecked on. Staff did not seem to know what was going on. For a meal that was brunch specific, they were out of juices for mimosas and Bloody Mary mix, despite lack of customers, and it took 4 tries ordering before a beverage could actually be made. Eventually we just all gave up and ordered water. We still enjoyed the food and will go back because we love the chefs, but this is the 2nd experience in the past 6 weeks that has really been terrible. If you’re going to come, I don’t recommend coming on a Sunday. Ever. It seems other weeknights are not as disappointing.

    My experience wasn’t great. Restaurant was out of filet, tuna and sirloin and served a glass of red wine that wasn’t stored properly. The food was ok, but not worth the drive from Charleston in my opinion.

    We took our out of town guests for Sunday brunch. Three of us had eggs Benedict…very, very dry and biscuits were bland. We asked for more Hollandaise and were told they had to make it. Our server was wonderful and the ambience was nice.

    The price is reasonable but food quality was fair. Our server was attentive but our table rocked, the salt shaker was full but the salt inside was hard. The eggs Benedict was dry and overcooked. There was no butter or jam provided.

    Had a reservation at 6. Spent 15 minutes up front. My date started walking through the restaurant looking for someone to sit us down and order. Seen our waiter 3 times total. Once to sit us down. 2nd to bring food. And third to do a checkup, where we still had to ask for refills.

    The server was pleasant, but their brunch options weren’t fantastic. My steak was overcooked and my scrambled eggs tasted more like powdered eggs. My family said their meals were good. It was okay. Willing to try again, but hesitant.

    Sandwiches and fries were good. Stick with that. Don’t even think of trying biscuits and gravy. Overpriced for quality of food. Service people nice and polite just untrained. Have really tried to like this restaurant, but every visit just gets worse. Stick with sandwiches!

    Should use cloth napkins. Make sure have plates and serving spoons always Also have unsweetened tea with lemon and sweetness available. Should come around And ask about what kind of tea customers would like. Also. Should check on diners occasionally

    Horrible..51 min wait on food. We were the only customers at 11:30am. Food was cold, tough filet bites, egg Benedict was a joke. Sent food back immediately. Got charged $5.35 for two half glasses of sweet tea as we only sipped on it during the wait. Never again will we waste our time or money. Too bad because the grounds are beautiful.

    This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! The food and service were excellent and we all had different entrees. The salads were fresh, the brussels(appetizer) and crème brûlée were all delicious. Next time we want to eat on the patio.

    Small venue, waitress was very nice but they seemed very understaffed. Stood at the door for 5 minutes waiting to be seated, when the waitress arrived she stated she was helping the cook prepare a plate. Although understaffed, she did an excellent job and was very pleasant. Food was excellent. I ordered the fillet and it was one of the best steaks I have had in a restaurant in quite a while.

    Mac n cheese didn’t have much taste. French onion soup was presented well, but could also use more cheese. My dish was about the same as everywhere else, except double the price. Atmosphere was nice though.

    Only customers, still one hour of brunch period, squeeky new waiter. Table was not clean, water filled vases without flowers or candles. All other tables dirty piled with dishes. 1 1/2 hours before foodcomes out and it is terrible. Even drink orders were wrong. In the end after 2 hour stay and returning food to kitchen we were told we didnt have to pay. We tipped waiter for his sincerity! Will never go back!

    Restaurant was nice decor , parking was easy . Seated on time and server came immediately and took our drink order . Placed our order for food ,ordered two salads and bread along with our main meal . After about 20 minutes we ask where our salad and bread was , server said they would bring it out all together which is something I have not experienced before , we ask to get it first . A few minutes later they brought salads and bread but within 3-4 minutes came our meal . My tuna was good but cheese grits were , I just say I not sure . My wife’s shrimp was so salty she couldn’t eat and her steamed broccoli was hard and tasteless . Wife ate next to nothing , I ate the tuna and we paid and left .Server never once ask if we needed drink refills . Only 3-4 couples in restaurant when we ate .
