   The food here surpassed my expectations. Very good service, too. Thought it might be a bit on the chilly side but the space heaters made it a comfortable and pleasant experience.

   The food was okay.. We ordered 4 salmon and it was overcooked. It's $38 for a piece and it should be perfectly cooked the flesh of the salmon should be opaque and easily flake apart not hard.

   Awful. So many things wrong with this place. Main issue was they had two big standing private parties around no more than 8 restaurant tables. You could not have a conversation without shouting. The restauarant should not have taken bookings. Service was slow and one waiter particularly rude. Food below average. Venue is a plastic tent stuck to an office block with the restroom in a public garage. Not for me!

   Gorgeous outdoor setting, quiet so really nice environment for a date and to have a conversation. We had oysters, wedge, salmon, steak and beignets. Food was complex and delightful! beignets were a bit heavy, filled so not traditional. Everything was very tasty. Loved the Garden and we'll be trying the Vault Steakhouse next.

   For a FIDI luncheon, dinner or after work social during the week, the Vault Garden would be a nice option. The space is nice but much smaller than I expected, and you are not exactly in a "garden" setting. Great lounge area and bar, but dining outdoors is limited. We were there on a damp Saturday for lunch. Service was great all around. Food was good but very expensive in my opinion.

    We had the clam “chowder” (the quotation marks are on the menu). It needs to be described better on the menu. It is more of a clam gravy with whole peas, apple strips, small purple potatoes, clams in the shell, and pieces of things. We also had the crab starter, risotto, and salmon. The dishes were very rich. Nothing really stood out with unique or bright, fresh flavors. The outdoor dining is bar type, so many be offer small plates for sharing? The cost of meals is high for what you are getting. “Sharing plates” might help you off-set your costs better, and let you introduce some lighter options.

    We love Vault Garden and frequent it often. Food is fantastic and consistent. Service is great as well as the ambiance for being indoor heated.

    The Vault has a unique and very cool location under the towering buildings of California Street. The weather cover and multiple heaters and blankies made the space more comfy on the chilly day we visited. All our food choices were delicious but I would say Dungeness crab is not their specialty. Not much meat for $32 and no tools to eat it with. Otherwise we really enjoyed our experience and will return!

    The Vault Garden was a little hard to find but lovely once you do. The atmosphere is dream like, the food amazing... but be sure they seat you at a table that allows you to enjoy the whole mind blowing ambiance. Unfortunately, where I was seated, the amazing decor was behind me. Be sure to request better seating if this occurs. And get a photo of you in the fantastically decorated space. All I got was a photo with a dingy curtain as the backtop. My bad? I need to put some responsibility on the staff (host & servers) who may not always remember guests come for the full ambient experience. This is my souvenir photo of a $340 meal for two on Christmas Eve.

    We left, server gave us water, said he’ll be back…but never did! He never came back to get our orders. But he was attentive to the other tables, at one point checked on table right next to us, I have him a look that we’re still waiting and he didn’t care. Nevertheless we didn’t get to try their food and drinks, just their tap water. Very poor service. 37 minutes waiting for the waiter to get our orders. That was a bad experience

    Dining is outdoors under a tent. There are heat lamps but the restaurant is in a terrible wind tunnel between tall buildings in the financial district. It was freezing and there weren’t nearly enough heat lamps.

    We were 15min late to our reservation. They were kind and seated us immediately. Servers were all attentive and gave great recommendations. The place looked and felt festive, which I love!

    The service and atmosphere are outstanding. Great drinks too. The food, on the other hand, is just average. I never mind paying higher prices for excellent food, but this restaurant falls short for excellence. The waiter was awesome and of course, it is not his fault. Going for drinks and perhaps an appetizer would be good.

    When I booked online for a 1:45 there was no mention of deadline by which we had to be out. I just happened to call to confirm and was told we had to be out by 4pm due to a buyout of the whole venue. I agreed to abide by the deadline but when we arrived we were told numerous times we had to be done by 3:30. I was hosting a year end appreciation event for my colleagues in the building and the staff graciously accommodated as our party grew from 4 to 11 at one point. But I’ve never felt so unwanted at a restaurant especially when spending so much money. It was very awkward for me as time went on and I’m trying to show gratitude for so many of my partners while the staff were neglecting my guests and so focused on prepping for the 4pm event and very blatantly telling us we all had to be gone by the numerously mentioned deadline. Maybe don’t take reservations within a 3 hour window if it’s going to create such a panicked environment for the staff and non-VIP patrons. If it wasn’t for this conflict of schedules our experience would’ve been top notch.

    The food was superb. We shared the Shishito Peppers and the Stuff Mushrooms. The peppers were blistered to perfection and the mushroom were very favorable. I ordered the Risotto. The Risotto was very creamy and simply delicious. I would order it again. It was topped with a variety of mushrooms which were all perfectly cooked. Our server, Issac was fabulous. He provided excellent and prompt service as well as answered all our questions with an in depth knowledge of the menu items.

    I really like this place. They have rock music playing in the background which I really like. The service was great, the outdoor seating is excellent, cozy and safe still during these ongoing Covid times. Food was very good as well.

    The service staff (waiters), both men and women, are absolutely indifferent to customers, they all fuss, run around and forget to provide quality service. No courtesy. They brought food and ran away. I asked the waiter for black beer, and instead of answering what it was, he replied that you look at the menu, everything is there. Look and see for yourself. I ordered a beer and they brought half a glass of foam. I don’t even say anything, because I understand that everyone absolutely doesn’t care. I ordered risotto, but it turned out that there was very little rice, but there was a lot of mushrooms. Disgusting.

    We have been to the Vault Garden in the past and it was AMAZING. We brought our family telling them how amazing it was, and unfortunately missed the mark big time. This last visit the food was overpriced (I know this is the day we live in) but the food was sub par to say the least to pay this kind of money. I do not think I will return.

    we were 5 people to celebrate a birthday. one of the main meals didn't arrive until the other 4 in our party had nearly finished. There was CLEARLY a problem. 3 steaks were ordered, only two arrived. The staff said nothing, acted as if everything was "normal." We understand mistakes are made sometimes, but not acknowledging it even when i finally mentioned that it was a problem to have one diner sitting there for nearly the entire meal without their entree was very wrong. We spent a lot of money at your restaurant- cocktails, wine, appetizers, steaks, dessert - it would have st least been advisable to comp us a dessert or at least apologize! We will not return - did not leave a good impression.

    Food was lacking in flavor. All items were very mediocre. Nothing memorable. We were seated up against a pillar, did not get to enjoy the greenery heavily depicted in the photos of the place. I mentioned my friend’s birthday in my reservation. Most places usually include a small complimentary dessert. She was given a notecard. Very lackluster experience. Would not dine again.
