Staff were lovely and the food was delicious all 9 of us enjoyed everything on our plates. Would definitely go back.

Birthday. Lovely service, food was great. They put together a little dessert with candles for the birthday person which was lovely .

For my second visit to the Vault, another enjoyable experience. The menu is not the boring same old, same old too often encountered and we will be happy to return. Our waitress was friendly, observant and very quick with requests. The history of the building as a former bank interested us greatly. the

It was easy to book the table online and on the day I called the restaurant to let them know we would be late for the booking and they were very understanding. The building is the old bank building in church street, the interior was clean, light and minimal with historical photos of the local town. The staff were friendly and accomodating explaining things on the menu and checking things with the kitchen. The staff wore masks due to COVID restrictions and the booking did have a time limit however my friend and I got carried away chatting and lost track of time which the staff didn’t mind. There was a little bit of a wait for the food once ordered but it was fresh and tasty, I had a sweet potato fritter with smoked salmon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise was a little vinegary in flavour but i love strong vinegar flavours so it suited my tastes. I asked to take my leftovers home and they were more than happy to oblige. They happily split the bill and I indulged and bought a packet of their thin (I think homemade) almond biscotti which was lovely and very reasonably priced ($2). They also have other products for sale like lemon curd and dried citrus fruit etc. I would happily return to this restaurant and recommend it to friends and family, it was a great experience.
