The service was top notch! The ambiance was perfect on all levels. The drinks were amazing and the food was ok. I would definitely recommend that you try it. We were upgraded to sit in vault as well(very cool) 💪! The staff was very knowledgeable about the history of the Bank.

Our Steak tartare appetizer was excellent as was the beet salad. The duck dish for 2 entree was quite difficult to cut and eat, but had good flavor. Our server was very good and attentive. We will be back and try some of the other items we have not tried yet. The wine list was also good and the prices on it were well priced.

The Vault was simply spectacular. The food was exceptional, especially the beet salad (the horseradish cream was brilliant!). We had a very comfortable evening at The Vault and we will return soon.

We were greeted immediately by the maître de and our table was not ready, so we were given a complimentary glass of champagne while we waited. Our server, Mallory was very knowledgeable about the menu and ultimately planned our entire dinner expertly. Every course was perfect cooked and the cocktails were delicious. We were looking forward to making The Vault our “go to” for our special evening between friend!

I called to make a reservation and was told "you can't do it over the phone, must use Open Table." The food was good but my entree didn't have much . When I was given the check, I heard "We don't take cash", only plastic. So, without the use of electronics, you cannot operate? No, I won't be back

It has a nice ambience. Unfortunately, their menu at the time we went was not vegetarian friendly though they tried their best to accommodate us, which I was very grateful for. The menu on their website/Open Table is completely different than the menu they currently have. For those that eat meat, you’ll have no issues. Halfway through our dinner they turned up the music so loud I could not hear my husband and it felt like we were in a club and not a restaurant. I really liked the ambience and the vault is really cool, but if you’re vegetarian or vegan I’d definitely call ahead to see if they can accommodate you.

Wonderful atmosphere! A little dark for reading small print on menus. The menu was creative and our choices were delicious! Apple Rutabega Bisque, Roasted Beets with Marcona Almonds, Horseradish and Red Sorrel, Pasta with a delicate cream sauce with fresh figs and Gorgonzola and Blackberry Bread Pudding with Vanilla Gelato! Leah was an excellent server!

We were seated in the vault itself which was a really cool experience, and definitely added to the ambience for us. Service was very slow. Scallops were great, the fish was well prepared but too sweet for me, and the steak tartare was served with the tiniest portion of bread for 4 people, with no additional offered by staff when mentioned. I would go back and try some other items for sure! It’s a neat place with a fun vibe.

We always have the most amazing experiences at The Liberty Trust. Chef Andrew absolutely creates a vibe for all the senses with beautiful surroundings, delicious and gorgeous plates, and the most incredible play list! I always over order because I want to taste everything and I’m never disappointed. The wait staff is professional and Chef Andrew makes sure his patrons are well cared for!

The food is delicious, and the living room style seating is so cozy. Everyone is incredibly friendly, specifically Chef Hunter and Dexter, the front of house manager. Would be a great spot for food and drinks before a show at Mill Mountain Theatre.

Wonderful venue...very chic and comfortable. Food quality was excellent, service a bit slow at times, but not bothersome. Cocktails were "measured", not as generous as the price could warrant. Wine list impressive and reasonably priced.

I was very excited to take my mother to The Liberty Trust for her 75th birthday. When we arrived the host offered her a complimentary sparkling wine to celebrate her bday (I didn't even remember mentioning her bday at all prior to us arriving) which I thought was such a wonderful gesture. The service was terrific as well. Unfortunately the only thing on your menu that she wanted was the Coquilles St Jacques and it was not available. I knew that the online menu was just a sample of the types of dishes you usually offer but even when we got there the paper menu had it listed. Normally we would have just chosen something else to try (this was out first time there) but the menu is quite small so that made it difficult to find something we wanted. We ended up paying for my drink (I even offered to pay for my mom's complimentary wine but they wouldn't let me which was sweet) but did leave to eat someplace else. I totally get running out of things but our reservation was at 5:30 on a Monday so it seems like that shouldn't happen that early in the evening. Our waitress and bar tender were terrific.

We had a delightful evening at The Vault. I wish there were more interesting restaurants like this in Roanoke. The menu could use one or two more boring choices; it is pretty eclectic. Check before you go. And most of the seating is lounge style bs typical tables. A fun different experience!

We made a reservation for four on a high top. But when we walked in, the manager asked if we would like to upgrade our dining experience. We all shook our heads in the affirmative and we’re led to the vault. It is a private area that seats 6 people inside the bank vault transformed. Food was amazing. Prices were very good. Wine list fantastic. Service impeccable.

We had an excellent dinner for my sister in laws birthday. We got a lot of small plates and shared everything, and it was all delicious. The drinks were also great and festive. We will definitely be back!

First time at The Vault celebrating our anniversary. Very nice experience. Service excellent. Food superb and interesting. We were anxious to try the khachapuri after having it at a Georgian restaurant in DC….we were not disappointed. Highly recommended.

Very nice physical space and ambiance. Very attentive service, maybe a little too many inquiries about whether we needed anything. Would have liked to have the shrimp and grits on the menu that had just been replaced to have another cooked seafood option. Shrimp shumai was excellent. Toasted bread with the ham and olive dishes I ordered could have been a bit warmer.

Had a perfect early light meal at The Vault before heading across the street for a theatrical performance. Buzzy atmosphere in the lobby of the trendy boutique hotel Liberty Reserve. They feature a tapas type menu with lots of fun items to try. Beautiful presentation and all that we tried were delish. My GF friend had plenty of options, too. The cocktails stand out and the servers were all friendly and efficient.

Come prepared for cramped bar accommodations. Table too small to enjoy a meal and lighting to dim to read a menu (that already has tiny print). Service was a bit ‘clunky’, although very friendly. food was fine and creative, although not nearly value compared to what else is available in Downtown, Roanoke (e.g., Sidecar, Lucky).

Great food with an epicurean selection coupled with a vibrant bar all set in a very well decorated old bank with a 1920s feel. My wife and I started at the bar and enjoyed a selection from their cocktail menu. For dinner we switched to wine. They provide a very suitable and eclectic listing. We then shared a set of appetizers, the Caesar salad, the khachapuri, and the steak tartar. All were exceptionally well prepared. For dessert it was espresso and a slice of hummingbird cake. We were there on a Friday night and all seats were taken. I'd advise reservations. Vibrant city scene. The one comment I would make is that the seating is more akin to a cocktail lounge than a formal dining room. It's fun but not traditional.

The food was amazing and our server was great. However, some disheveled cook was hanging out behind the bar with a similarly disheveled bartender, and they were staring at our table for an uncomfortable period of time, and the staring was not friendly. It was bizarre and off-putting. You don't pay the prices demanded by this restaurant to feel that way while you eat, so I won't be back. It's too bad, as the food and setting were top-notch...

The hotel and restaurants are located in a previous old bank building. Eclectic menu organized in an unusual way. No appetizers or entrees per se just listings of dishes available, mostly big enough for sharing more or less. A good selection probably wide enough to please almost everyone. A bit on the expensive side. And yes you can eat in the bank vault if it already isn't taken. Alcohol drinks are available but a bit thin on liqueurs.
