    The restaurant is warm and inviting. The server was kind and attentive. The vibe is very chill. Unfortunately the food is not good, over seasoned, over sauced, poorly plated and poorly presented.

    If you have loved Fortify in the past then Vandiver is the place for you. Excellent!

    I had the scallops which were seriously the best I have ever tasted. It’s a new menu so we went to try it out. My wife got her usual hamburger, medium rare, that she swears is the best in Clayton, and that verdict hasn’t changed. It’s a great burger. My only disappointment is that French onion soup is no longer on the menu, but otherwise it’s definitely worth checking out. Hats off Chef!

    Beautiful restaurant with friendly service. Food very average - frozen fries with steak frites, canned corn in succotash, risotto swimming in broth, etc. Hopeful that these are still early execution issues as there is clearly an opportunity for a fine dining restaurant in Clayton with Fortify shutting down (which we sorely miss).

    Delicious! Chicken over grits and super tender pork chop for the wins! Staff was awesome and would definitely return!

    Excellent meal. We tried four different entrées and everything was outstanding. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff was superb. Cocktails are fun!
