The Union Kitchen - Washington
At the union Kitchen outdoor dining is a year-round event with ceiling fans and air coolers for hotter days and heat lamps for cooler nights. Just perfect for enjoying an wonderful meal outdoor.
The Union Kitchen offers ice cold draft beers and a huge selection of American and International wines. Imagine a place where while enjoying some Mimosas you can order eggs Benedict and watch your favorite sporting events; and all in company of friends and family.
I was really looking forward to this, but I must confess the dinner did not live up to expectations. Brussels sprouts were awesome, but the pasta dish was watery and not all that satisfying. My wife’s salad was no better than I could make at home.
The food was awesome. I loved my special, Korean barbecue eggs benedict. My aunt would have liked a few more non-egg choice items for brunch: there aren't many so know that if you aren't an egg lover. But, the wait staff was awesome and the food was delicious.
Friendly service for early dinner but the kitchen must have been having an off-day.. The only fresh fish on the menu was so rubbery as to be practically inedible. To the restaurant's credit, they did not charge us for the fish and apologized. Too bad, the food at their Kingwood location has always been lovely.
Everything one could desire for brunch.
We are always pleased with the food and service. This is our go-to place!
We were referred to Union Kitchen by our hotel staff member. We enjoyed the dinner very much and our server Audra (sorry can't remember exactly but is was an unusual name) was absolutely excellent. She made suggestions, asked how the dinner was going and offered us desserts in a very friendly, helpful way. I had the Pistachio Crusted Chicken and though very good tasting, the pasta under the chicken was barely warm. Be sure to ask that you entre be served hot if you like it that way.
Great service and delicious food -- special thanks to our server and the manager, Jim
If you don't have anything nice to say - don't say anything...
The Union Kitchen on Washington never disappoints. The service and food are always great!
Overall great place food was good ...patio was nice
Never a bad moment with food or service, my go to place!
Very nice dinner with the family, my kids were not to happy with the menu selection but service was great
2nd visit this month. Another great outing. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
I love this place! How can one make a chicken sandwich special? I mean, you’ve had one, you’ve had them all. But their chicken and avocado sandwich with the jalapeño bread is amazing! And the sriracha aioli that comes with the chips is insanely addictive. I can’t get enough. The fried chicken and biscuits on the brunch menu is also delicious! The location in Washington has a great atmosphere - I love all the windows. The service is always great. This has become my favorite restaurant in Houston.
I enjoyed lunch there previously with some friends, so was surprised at how mediocre dinner was. Dinner wasn't bad, but unremarkable and not worth a return visit given the many dining options in Houston.
Dinner was good and it’s nice to have a tablecloth meal from time to time. Prices are good and there’s a good drink and wine menu. It wasn’t very busy so it was a relaxing meal. Our server was a bit stone faced so that wasn’t great but he was attentive so no major complaints us there
The food was COLD and the cooking oil needed to be changed. After speaking with the manager they re-made the food. However, it was more of the same and this time the food didn't have any presentation, i.e. waffles were not cut into fours sprinkled with powdered sugar topped with fruit and the so called split chicken breast was chicken tenders (STILL over-cooked with tons of batter). Possibly this was a bad day but I don't plan to return to re-affirm or not. I can say the waiter tried his best, but there was obvious lack of operations including but not limited to management. They should have ensured the food was prepared according to their company expectation which should be consistent with the customers. EPIC FAIL...the Kingwood location is so much better and what I consider EXCEPTIONAL.
Noise level was too high today .... it was a busy Monday and the limited number of servers were stretched.
My friend and I sat in the bar area. The place was totally packed but our server Greg was awesome. He was friendly and helpful and the food is amazing (but huge portions). Plus who can beat a $10 carafe of mimosas!
First time visitors to The Union Kitchen. Very pleased with the overall experience. Good location and atmosphere. Lots of windows and ability to see all around. Free valet parking (do this as there is not much parking in the area). Great menu offerings, all at reasonable prices. Had the peppercorn crusted Ahi tuna and meatloaf, along with caesar and wedge salads. All were good, including the complimentary bread. Very reasonable prices. Aaron (server) was super. Will definitely return and bring family/friends next time. Want to try out other menu options.
Enjoyed a lovely evening here with husband to celebrate Valentines. Food was very good. The Smoked Whiskey drinks (don’t remember exact name) we had were wonderful. Service was outstanding. Next time will ask for a table instead of banquet seating for a special night as I felt like 2 strangers on each side of us were along on our date. We will definitely go back again.
Great brunch spot with reasonable prices and really good food and mimosas. If you use OpenTable to make reservations don’t have to wait in line for a table and they have complimentary valet which is a plus.
Birthday with my mom visiting from New Orleans!
Very good brunch selection. Very flavorful. Great value for the price. Very reasonable.
We had a wonderful time. The waitress was outstanding. She was very accomodating and fun. The food was also very good.
It was a great place and amazing food! I will be back!
This was a great time. William and Jordan were absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to revisit.
Our waitress, Trish, was awesome and made the experience so lovely.
Excellent service and food.
We had a wonderful experience and our server was really friendly and helpful.
Both the food and service are consistently excellent.
When the wait was too long at the popular Mexican restaurant down the street, we walked here because they had a table available on short notice. Should have known there was a reason they had availability at 7pm on a Friday with no notice. Second clue should’ve been that it’s in a strip mall. Menu tries to be all things to all people seemingly. Service was good, our waiter was nice and attentive. Food was terrible and overpriced though.
Everyone’s food was hot except for my friend and I who ordered regular Eggs Benedict. Both of our orders were lukewarm at best.
The food and service at Union Kitchen - Washington are consistently excellent.
Excellent food and service!
Everything was GREAT! I’ll be back for sure!!
Appeared to be under staffed but everyone was very helpful whenever they were able to he
Went for a New Years Eve dinner with a group of friends and Union Kitchen did NOT disappoint! Nice quiet atmosphere, seated right when we walked in, champagne toast at 9 p.m, and a complementary dessert! Our waiter was amazing and the steak was cooked perfectly. 10/10.
Food was awesome and our waitress, Christine was fantastic!
