The Union Kitchen (Towne Lake)
Server was great and attentive. Mimosa carafes for 12.95 is also nice
Glad we had a reservation. They were very crowded and it was a Thursday. Service was very good and food was great. Others have mentioned the noise. It is a bit loud and difficult to have conversations. Will definitely return on our next trip to the area. Only suggestion and or concern is that the chairs are not very comfortable and really don’t fit the class of the restaurant. Noise and chairs could be addressed.
The new restaurant looks amazing. The staff is attentive and friendly. When an issue arose, our server did her best to correct the issue. The manager was eager to listen to our feedback. We will definitely be back.
Delicious dinner and brought out quickly after we explained our situation to our wonderful server! We had been to another restaurant and waited over 2.5 hours and no food so we were starving! Delicious and excellent service!!
Promptly greeted and seated near the large window overlooking the lake. Shortly after was greeted by server. Stephen was very pleasant and attentive.
We love Union Kitchen restaurants. Noise level a little high due to architecture, but so glad to h@v3 them at Towne Lake.
Missed the great salad on Memorial menu with the avocado dressing! We love that salad!
Best of luck and stay busy! Glad you’re here and everywhere else!
It was a great place to sit and enjoy a anniversary dinner with my wife we had a lovely time and the staff was great and very aware and helpful
Went early for dinner service. Greeted and seated promptly. We were looking for a lighter dinner. Really enjoyed the crab cakes and fish and chips. Second time here and working our way through the menu.
A little noisy for a business lunch - should have sat on the patio, but the food and service were outstanding and well worth the expense.
I usually don’t waste my time to write a review if it’s not going to be positive. Save your money! This place is having an identity crisis! It’s laid out to be upscale but says casual on the description. We go to the boardwalk all the time but for some reason felt like we didn’t belong here. Our waiter looked like he would rather be any place but there. The food was WAY over priced for the quality of what we received. I couldn’t even finish my plate. It was just plain gross. Burnt fish & burnt cauliflower. I wanted to order grilled chicken w/ veggies which was not a choice on the menu & when I asked the waiter if it was an option his response sounded as though it would be a huge inconvenience. Not worth it!!!!!! After paying nearly $80 for my husband, son, & myself. No appetizers. I thought that was expensive for the quality of service & quality of food. I can stay home & have burnt food:(
Brunch with friends. Eggs Benedict, Elvis waffles, chicken and waffles, kids pancakes- all delicious and came quickly. Was busy so definitely glad we had reservations.
We have eaten at Union Kitchen in Memorial on numerous occasions so while in the Towne Lake area, we decided to try out the new location and it did not disappoint! We took our daughter and she ordered the steak off of the children’s menu. She almost devoured the entire thing and said it was the best steak ever! We started with the lobster potstickers (delicious), my husband had the pork chop (yum!), and I had the ribeye (cooked to perfection at med rare). Our server and other staff members were very attentive which made for a nice relaxing evening with the family. We will definitely be back! Side note: if you want to try the best bread pudding ever, I highly recommend ordering it here.
We are delighted the Union Kitchen in our neighborhood. Outstanding service and high quality food standard to Union Kitchen’s other in-town locations.
I love Union Kitchen!! This location is new so understandable that the food took long. My meal was not very hot but the flavor was awesome. Server was great but service overall was a little slow. Was there with family celebrating a birthday and he did make it a special occasion for us. Congrats on a new location. We will be back
Service and food was great. The food came out hot and quick. Taste was good.
We were seated outside by the lake on a beautiful sunny day. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was great, and the ambiance was perfect! Highly recommended!
The absolute best pan seared scallops I’ve ever had! Great specialty drink and wine selection. Upscale atmosphere in a suburban location. A little on the pricey side for suburbia but definitely worth every penny.
First time eating at the new Towne Lake location. I tried to make reservations for around 12:30 but was told there was no availability until 1:45. We arrived at 1:10 to find several available tables and no wait to be seated. Out of several available tables the hostess tried to seat us right near the door on the main path. We asked if we could wait for a booth, when one was provided it was right next to the kitchen (very loud with constant traffic) despite others being available. We were given the brunch menu and had to ask twice for the lunch menu. We ordered drinks and appetizers which were promptly served. Drink offerings were interesting and different - the shrimp and crab dip was delicious with chunks of seafood - but the bread was dried not toasted. I ordered the Macadamia chicken which was tasty but not quite what I expected. It came as more of a "bowl" than a plated meal and had red peppers in the coconut ginger rice. As I said, it was tasty but not quite what the description said. My husband had the Union burger which he quite enjoyed. We requested coffee and the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Coffee was good but the mousse cake was a huge disappointment. It was obviously premade and frozen and was mediocre at best. The waitstaff did a pretty good job of staying on top of things although we had to ask for water refills a few times. Overall a pretty good experience but they can do better. I'll definitely give it another try to see if things improve as they settle in.
Food was great, but we went for a birthday and the extra stuff they did for a birthday really made them stand out. Great place to go.
Loved it! The food and drinks were on point and I can't wait to gather with friends and family at this spot again!
I know they have just opened and the service level was on par for that but they need to step it up. The server seemed to be taking care of 6 tables which they pretty much sat all at once. She was trying to do her best to manage it but did forget things from time to time.
Another weird thing is that they maxed out sections in the restaurant instead of spreading us out to different parts of the restaurant and servers which made us all feel crammed in and caused the server issue.
The bartender was cool to watch as he wanted perfection on every drink.
The food was very good, although the “bowl” of soup was a joke. It was a glorified ramekin and cost $9.00! The “cup” of soup was not much smaller, we asked to see so we could compare. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and tables not conducive to parties of 4 or more. Even though we had made a reservation for 6 people we were crammed at a table that should have only sat 4. But what most of us ordered was good.
Still new and our waiter has some work to do but, overall everything was good. We had two wait staff that were way more efficient and helpful. One person in our party had to return his dish and it took forever to get a new one, in fact the rest of us had finished our meal before he got his back. My redfish was less than seasoned but, nothing a little salt couldn't fix. The calamari and potstickers were delish! The mojito....eh. I will go definitely go back and give them another try.
Amazing! You would never know that the place has just opened bc it ran so smoothly. The waitstaff and management were on top of their game. The food was amazing and the wine was even better! I can’t wait to go back! Oh... and the desserts are off the chart! So happy to have them in Cypress now!!
We went for our Anniversary. This was one of our best meals that we ever had. Great food, service was wonderful and they treated us good. They recommended appetizers and dinners that were so delicious. We will be back and recommend this place to everyone!
They do not have a full menu here, but the menu is still very nice. Had great service and you can look over the lake.
Great food and service!
It was still there soft opening and they were still trying to get things moving . Drinks were good but food was ok . Ceviche was bland and All the food came all at once appetizer and entree which made the table to full to maneuver. Hopefully the will fix it .
Soft opening but we went for an early dinner before the crowd hit and everything was great.
Great soft opening, can’t wait for them to grow into the area.
