Liam and the team behind The Boat are proud to bring to you a modern neighbourhood pub in the beautiful village of Barton-Under-Needwood.

Soak up sun in the garden with a cocktail, or in the winter find a seat inside next to the log burner. Our focus is on modern pub classics with a twist.

Offering breakfast at weekends and a classic Sunday Lunch. We also have space for hire, for private parties, birthdays, meetings or even to kick back for a sporting event.

Inspired by Betty and Peggy our 4 legged residents at our sister restaurant The Boat, where we’ve cultivated our land for crops and created a sustainable eco-system with a focus on reducing waste.

    We are bringing the best of The Two Pigs to you. Indulge on the evening of Wednesday 25th of June with our 4 four course tasting menu offering. Priced at £55 per person. This menu has been created by our head chef Beth Hipwell with locally scoured produce and turning them into exquisite dishes with that local village pub twist. Join us for this experience at The Two Pigs Barton.

    An amazing Sunday roast at The 2 Pigs, where the beef melts in your mouth, and the roasts are cooked to perfection. The Service was excellent too. To make it perfect the food is gluten-free. Perfect for my Ceoliac Daughter

    The Sunday lunch menu was very appealing and we chose the lamb and the pork options. There were carrots, green beans and greens along with roast potatoes and Yorkies. I found the portions to be very big and good value.

    The Two Pigs is really hitting its stride now. Great service from friendly staff. Excellent quality food at a sensible price. We’ll definitely be back (again and again)!

    Lovely inviting building and very pleased by the decor and layout, and the helpful friendly welcome. Food and drinks options were good, but we felt that some of the meals were overpriced. The lamb main was deemed excellent and we all really enjoyed the starters and tiramisu dessert. A great choice if drinks and wines.

    Our first visit and it will definitely not be our last we absolutely loved it! We shared the T bone steak which just melts in your mouth. Good service and atmosphere thank you to Megan our waitress and to the chef as the food really was outstanding.

    Service excellent. Food really good. Only downside was the mint sauce. Too over powering with vinegar. Cheese and crackers lovely. More cheese and chutney please.

    Absolutely amazing pub.. the sister of 'The Boat' restaurant in Lichfield so the standards are very high. All staff were really professional, happy, and attentive. They were polishing glasses at the bar downstairs, which you don't always see these days. We had a Sunday lunch, and it was really delicious, the stuffing and cauliflower cheese were especially good, the best we have had throughout our tour of Sunday lunches within the area. Very pleased overall. Definitely will return.

    Service was good, food was excellent. Two pigs beer was lovely. Time allowed was plenty to enjoy without rushing.

    Went here for breakfast on 25/03/25. Simple but lovely choice of food. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. It was warm. The music was gentle with some nice easy listening tracks playing. All in all a lovely experience.
