Birthday brunch was lovely. It was Labor Day weekend so it was quiet but that was expected. Pleasant surprise.
We celebrated my sons first day at his new job! Food was amazing, view was lovely - great property! Will definitely be back soon🎉🥂
Staff was VERy nice and truly seemed to be happy we were there. Had an outside table near the fountain - nice setting. Food and service was very nice!!
Nice patio dining area and a perfect location to decompress.
Most hotel restaurants are nothing special. They are just there to provide meal options for travelers who don’t want to leave the building. This Renaissance Hotel is near where we work and we stayed here one night while our home was being remodeled. We didn’t expect anything and were completely surprised.
First, the bar is fantastic. The outdoor patio looked beautiful, but it was 92F when we were here, so we sat inside. Our server was fantastic and the craft cocktail list is fairly extensive and innovative. The number of bourbons available exceed many of the so-called bourbon bars in the Columbus area.
The restaurant area is modern and bright. The Lobster Truffle Fries are a must as a starter! The Ribeye Sandwich and BBQ Bourbon Burger were outstanding. We work nearby and will be back even if we don’t stay in the hotel again.
I ordered a hamburger and my wife ordered a chopped salad. The hamburger was very good, but it took awhile for my wife’s salad to come out. When it came out it was a side salad and there was no dressing. The waiter just put it down and left. We finally got dressing and then our original waiter stopped by and realized that my wife had not received what she ordered. He then brought her another side salad. He then asked her if she wanted a bigger bowel. Completely unprofessional. No one really seemed to care that they had made several mistakes. My wife didn’t get her salad until I was done eating my hamburger. I would have waited, but my meal would have Luke warm at best by then. There were probably only ten customers at the time. I was surprised at the poor service. Very disappointing. We had heard that this was a nice restaurant.
Waitress provided excellent service.
For what it cost, it wasn’t that great. The ahi tuna starter was just straight up soaked in soy sauce, my meal was wrong (and the cheese was clearly just slapped on the burger, it wasn’t even melted). The cake tasted like someone just grabbed it out of the fridge, and was mushy in some parts and sorta frozen in others.
Our service was excellent (our waiter was attentive without being too much) and it’s a cool looking spot, but we won’t be returning.
It was a great night , cool and breezy . The outdoor table was perfect. We had the smoked artichoke dip appetizer, salmon entrees, and Italian Cream Cake. All food was delicious and the atmosphere was so relaxing.
Atmosphere and service was great. Good was sub par. Overpriced for what you get. Dessert was still partially frozen and super dry.
Wine by the glass overpriced. Average menu, food quality does not meet menu prices.
Went here for dinner and the live music. Artichoke Dip was great, and my wife enjoyed her Lobster Mac even though it did not come with the break crumbs.
The salads were poorly made and had poor ingredients (my caesar salad was all hearts of romaine and the croutons were soft and soggy, the bacon on my wife's chopped salad looked like it was leftover from breakfast. My walleye was really bad- very little filets and mushy and over breaded. I did not finish.
Drinks and service was quite good and the live music incredible. We will go back for the apps, drinks, and ambience but would need to be convinced to do dinner again.
Lobster Mac & cheese was ok, lacked flavor, I never use table salt or pepper and needed both. Chopped salad was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful the waiter Tony was excellent
Food was amazing! Outdoor seating was great other than the chair started to be a little uncomfortable by the end of the meal.
Mother’s Day brunch
We had great food and drink while listening to live music on the lawn. Some of our party hung around the fire pit. It was an amazing evening with friends. The wait staff did everything they could to be sure we were happy all the time. I would suggest the Artichoke Dip. They used artichokes that they smoked in-house. We make an artichoke dip at home, but my husband is now buying a smoker to hopefully help us make the same. Delicious!
Awesome service. Great food and fantastic cocktails. We will absolutely be back. Good GF options too!
Patio is has a beautiful view of the lake…. The bar definitely needs an after work happy hour
We had a nice calm Easter breakfast together. Pleasant wait staff, good food, great atmosphere.
Nice place. Food just so so. Don’t get the brisket chili. Bland, we were warned but thought we would try anyway. Bad decision.
Burger was good though!
The restaurant is clean and modern, and the staff was very friendly. We went for the lobster rolls, and were not disappointed. But the prices were a little high for the portion sizes. Overall, I would return, especially if I was craving lobster.
Food was not good and price was really high for what you got
First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review us. Without honest feedback we would be unable to fix any issues we may have. Could you give us more information about what you ordered and what the issues were? I would like to investigate to see how we can fix these issues for the future. Thank you for your time.
Our server was great and he remembered me from the last time I was in the restaurant!!!
Great service and great food. Will definitley go back.
Really enjoyed our Valentine’s night out here. We both enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese with a few drinks. The servers are so friendly and a delight to talk to.
Wonderful meal! Great service. Can't wait to check it out this summer!
I really wanted to like it... The menu seemed super interesting and promising! Unfortunately, the quality of the food was low. Items tasted bland, some were cold and just not good. Hopefully it was just a fluke or bad night for the restaurant...? Not sure...
Great place! Will absolutely come back. Would highly recommend.
The ambiance was great and the waiter was awesome and my daughter and I had a great time. The only issue was that my salmon was undercooked and I couldn’t eat it. A replacement was offered but I declined as it was already late. The food choices are very limited on the menu but overall it was great!
45 mins to get food that was undercooked by a landslide, sent back and they cooked steaks longer but left sides to be cold instead of giving new. They applied a discount afterwards, but overall still not worth it. Doubt we will ever go back.
The lemon spritzer cocktail was awesome! Food was ok.
We took the kids here for a NYE dinner and it was great! The food was good and the service was amazing! The kids (6) had a great time as well!
Buttermilk Pancakes Whipped Butter, Ohio Maple Syrup $12. I think an egg or side of fruit should come with and not à la carte.
Just 3 pancakes is a little over priced.
Staff, outdoor space & ambience definitely worth going back.
Beautiful restaurant in a great hotel nice water feature overall a great place
Our server was very nice and attentive. Beautiful venue! My only complaint was $17 for a lobster roll sandwich which was on not a great bun of about 4-5” long. Should have been on better quality of bun and larger.
Great service and food. Vanessa was outstanding as our server
So the menu looked great, and it had good reviews so we decided to try it. We had lobster truffle fries and the lobster meat was over done and chewy. I had a lobster roll, which was good, and a salad. The dressing was watery milk with a few tiny blue cheese crumbles, it was pretty gross. My husband had the low down boil and it had no flavor at all, just tomatoes and seafood, he got some Frank's red sauce to give it a little flavor. I will say that the cocktails were good, but mine was missing a luxardo cherry (which is definitely a selling point of a drink). Our waiter was almost non-existent. I asked for more fry sauce and it didn't come until the fries were super cold. Ordered our second round of drinks before dinner came and didn't get them until we were done eating and ready to leave. We might go back for just drinks b/c the scenery is nice outside, but not for food.
Disappointing in all aspects... food quality, service and ambience were all not impressive.
They sat us then did not return. After 45 minutes we left and went to another restaurant.
Service was very slow with no crowds. Food definitely was not worth the price as was average. Although very cool restaurant and vibe of decor.
