Great food and atmosphere...food needs to improve and menu expanded
The Two-One was aesthetically pleasing. It was an early Saturday evening and pretty dead. The employees were fairly inexperienced and you could tell, but they were polite and trying their best. Food was okay, a little overpriced, but their menu is fairly limited.
We were very disappointed with our visit toThe Two-One. Granted it was a nice location and quiet as it was empty, save for a few patrons at the bar, but the service was quite surprisingly poor. The server was kind but very inefficient and not very knowledgeable. The meals were unimpressive for the price paid. I guess hotel restaurants can be hit or miss, but we were disappointed that this new Renaissance property would be a miss.
Talk about a hidden gem. The food was outstanding and the hotel views were fantastic.
I highly recommend a visit!
We were the only ones there
I ordered a burger and it would have been better at 5 guys.
My wife got the pork shank.
It was the only good thing we got
Caesar salad and charcuterie were both bad.
It’s a hotel which is never our choice either.
It was a beautiful restaurant which was very comfortable and was a nice ambiance. Little pricey! But overall was nice.
The food, while good, was cold. (I ordered sort ribs, of which I received only one) The prices were what you'd expect at this style of restaurant-expensive. I left the table still hungry and overall disappointed.
Hate to say this but I was eating my beet salad and there was a bug in it, still wiggling around. So we were out, simple as that.
We were excited about the menu options, but had to change our order three times, because they were out of ingredients. We ordered chips and dip for appetizer, it was way over seasoned. Our entrees were under seasoned.
My Husband and I have both been in the service industry for decades. I do not take writing a poor review lightly. However this restaurant has great potential being located within the Renaissance Hotel. Just extremely poor service.
We made Reservations for New Years Eve. It was clear that the staff had no clue as to what was going on, we waited for over 45 minutes to finally be served dinner after our order was taken. The server also forgot to bring our appetizer and brought the appetizer out after our dinner. My fillet was SUPER COLD and by this point my husband had to pop back into the kitchen area to even find a server to help us. At this point I was so frustrated with the experience I asked them to just take back the steak and requesting the bill. We ended up going to another restaurant for our New Years Eve dinner. It was warm, welcoming and served wonderful food.
First time at this restaurant. It’s in the Renaissance Hotel - beautifully appointed lobby. The food was good but not spectacular. Service was extremely slow and inattentive- and even though it was a holiday they were not busy. Overpriced
Heard about this place through Instagram. When we arrived, we had no idea where to go so we headed to the bar. Only were we seated after running into a staff member sitting at the bar. The service was very quick and our waitress was very kind. The drink was ok, whiskey cocktail was a bit on the sugary side. My dinner was not what I expected. For what they’re charging, I felt like I could’ve gotten much better food for the price I paid. The salmon was delicious but the shredded daikon as a base was bland and a weird combo to pair with the salmon.
Love this little gem! Met someone for lunch there a few months ago and I keep bringing anyone I know there when we plan a dinner/lunch outing. Great food, waitress was outstanding, and she knew when to leave us alone to talk, and when we asked gave great recommendations. No one seems to know about this place, but I'm sure that's going to change. In the summer, they have outdoor seating, firepits, and even a hammock! Amazing place.
I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, although the service staff was very nice they really lacked proper knowledge and training in food service. I realize this restaurant is rather new so at first I tried to overlook this but it really was not a pleasant experience. Our waitress was not attentive (didn’t see her for 40 minutes after we ordered entrees), not sure if she’s also responsible for other areas but she went missing. This resulted in everyone having empty drinks. We ordered salads and entrees which all arrived at the same time. When we said “oh we haven’t had our salads yet” they said “well this is how we do it here serving everything at the same time”. There is no restaurant in this price point that would bring out a large plated salad and all of the entrees at the same time, nor does the table size accommodate all of these dishes. Not to mention they completely forget one salad which was fine because at this point she didn’t want it since her entree had now arrived. The food just wasn’t very good. The burger was over cooked (no temperature was asked) but arrived medium well and not flavorful. The steak and potatoes was not an attractive dish .. the potatoes were so over cooked it looked like pieces of steak. Very small menu and wine list the smallest we have ever seen yet they didn’t have what we tried to order. We asked for the dessert menu but the waitress said it’s only on the hotel room service menu and then she struggled to tell us what they had. It just wasn’t a good experience. I hope they improve over time!
