Always great place to meet friends!
Booked a reservation and got there 30 minutes early, we were seated right away. It went down hill from there. The waiter took our order 3 times. The food never arrived. He 1st stated he had to bartend and he was the only 1 available. He apologized and went to place our order again. The manager came out to apologize and the food still had not arrived. Guests arrived after us and were completely finished and gone. No food in sight! We asked could we just get an appetizer or something because we had already waited 1 hour! We nibbled on the appetizer and 1 1/2 into our birthday dinner we decided to leave. We were over it!!! Worst birthday dinner EVER!!!!! We were putting on our coats and the manager came with food after 1 1/2 hours!!!
The ambience was warm and inviting, with fireplaces throughout the restaurant. It's a big venue, but there was only 1 other table dining inside, so tons of social distancing. It was a milder winter day, so most diners were on the patio with the space heaters. I ordered a caesar salad with flank steak, which was delicious. My friend enjoyed the quiona for her lunch. Excellent service, comfortable setting, great experience.
Good atmosphere and service was great. Waiter was attentive and made recommendations but not was good food. Drinks were good, but I won't go back b/c I want a good meal as well.
Everything was great except the bartender seemed to forget about us. Rather than bring our check, he kept leaving the bar, texting, and doing leg lifts.
our waiter Roberto is always nice to us!
great waiter, and very friendly.
Small selection of food options. Good Nachos. Crab dip was poor
Food was not up to their usual standard. Wasn't bad, just not the quality we are used to.
Very good location with its view of the golf course, even under snow. Good food. Service sometimes is spotty, but when they are on it is great !
Amazing service. Felt welcomed and the drinks and food are delicious
The first 1-2 times we went to the Turn House (2019) it was excellent. The best meal we have ever had there was Mother's Day brunch that same year. We have gone back to the Turn House several times since then, and still consider it reliable. However, each visit back has brought the same complaints. Poor attention to detail, adequate but entirely unremarkable service, limited wine list, and even more limited knowledge of the wine list from the staff. The quality of the ingredients, however, is always second to none, and the dishes are well prepared. A little attention to the front of the house, and a bit more flare in the menu would turn The Turn from good to great.
The Valentine’s Day meal my spouse and I received was barely edible from the appetizer to the dessert. The kale al gratin was broken, the mashed cauliflower was cold and the gravy on the steak made everything look distasteful. The pasta I order was over cooked, my appetizer looked like it had worms in it and the oysters need salt. I order the s’mores dessert and the only thing edible was the ice cream the custard was warm and felt like pudding I couldn’t eat it. My server continually forgot drinks, orders or to even check on the our table. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Our waiter was very attentive. He gave us great recommendations on food and wine. The brisket nachos are a must get!
A friendly environment for a quiet dinner but I would have liked the steak to be more tender.
Birthday celebration. Everything was well done.
Great service, atmosphere. A bit pricey though.
This place Never disappoints. The service is outstanding, the food tastes amazing, and the ambience is spectacular. We have been to the turn House many times and even had our dinner to celebrate our marriage there. We will keep coming back
great place to go for dinner, brunch.
great food and service
My wife and I went out to eat for date night. We loved the atmosphere and the food. We will definitely go again.
Beautiful place, very COVID friendly and service was excellent! Went for brunch...the b
Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere, and good service
Great service, nice friendly atmosphere. Prices are a little high for the quality of food, but other than that a nice Saturday lunch spot
With Baltimore City restaurants being shut down, we needed to venture out of our comfort zone for a date night. I’m sure glad we did. Though it was a bit of a drive, it was well worth it! The old fashions were made just right and the wine selection was very extensive. Our oysters were fresh and right from Delaware! The French onion toast was the highlight of the meal and I will recommend to anyone I see! My duck was cooked to perfection and the figs gave it the perfect amount of sweetness! The rockfish was delicious and melted in your mouth. Our service was impeccable even though they seemed to be short staffed we never had to wait and our waitress was efficient and personable.
Great food. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere for a date night.
Wonderful! Take your family here for a safe and quiet experience. Enjoy the patio outdoor with a heater or inside fireplace.
Everything was great with the food and the atmosphere. We made a reservation for 8 o’clock and we felt like we were being hurried out from the second that we got there. The restaurant closed at 9o’clock but by 830 they were asking if we were ready for the check.
To no fault of the restaurant there was a group of 3 that was so inconsiderate. Very nice atmosphere once they left. Food was not outstanding. I would go there again
Had both the roasted duck and scallops and they were incredible, also nice quiet atmosphere.
Everything was great!!!
Great outdoor seating. Tables spaced comfortably apart. Heaters available. Beautiful views.
Food quality and value is my number 1 priority for restaurants. This place is one of the best (top 5) I have ever been to in the DMV area. I can't wait to recommend this to friends and family.
The food was delicious! We had the Brussel Sprouts, Lobster roll, crab cake, and a burger (juicy and cooked to perfection) we also tried the old fashioned/cinnamon old fashioned and the basic cocktails. They were also great. I only wish they served brunch on Saturdays.
The bartender fixed one of the best old fashions I've ever tasted
Had lunch with a co-worker at Turn House. We sat on the covered patio with heat lamps. We were very comfortable and no one else was seated near us. We each had a cocktail which and agreed they were well made. For lunch we had the brisket nachos and the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great, but the brisket for the nachos was tough and difficult to cut with a knife. We suspect it was at least a day old. Service was good, attentive but not intrusive. We would go back again, but skip the nachos.
Came here for my fathers birthday while visiting from North Dakota. Nice clean area. The room was bright. It was mostly quiet. A few other tables were a little loud with conversation and having their phone on speakers while speaking into them. The waitress was excellent and took very good care of us. The menu is smaller, but still offers enough options. The food was delicious. We ordered the steak, pasta, salmon, burger, nachos, and sourdough bread. When originally making the reservation, we made a note that it was my fathers birthday. Once our check came the waitress brought over a glass of Prosecco for everyone at the table and a complimentary desert for my fathers birthday. The prices were not outrageous and very reasonable. Definitely will be coming back in the future.
we were the only ones in the dining room but that didn't take away from great food (oysters were spectacular) and attentive service.
Great service and great waiter
I have been to the Turn House a few times and my latest visit was excellent. I was very pleased with the service, food, and covid-friendly setup.
There are many many times we have experienced underwhelming service - it seems they have a lot of turnover and not much oversite from a manager. On this day the host and server (bartender) were very good. (although the place was empty). Food is always good, if they get the service thing fixed it would be a 5+ place to eat and socialize.
We had a nice quiet table until another party arrived that was very loud, and unfortunately it ruined our experience. The food was OK but expensive. $19 for a hamburger. The one dollar oysters on Tuesday night were just OK. They were small and not so tasty. I probably will not be back soon.
