There was a big party going on and it spread the servers pretty thin. Not enough to bother us, just an observation. Still had a great experience with amazing food and a beautiful atmosphere.
Excellent oysters !
Where to begin…upon seating one of the servers dropped not one but two sauces on the floor directly behind us. This splashed over my husbands pants and jacket. No response from server. We tried to order Oysters. Not available. So we ordered the crab dip. Crab in the dip was unrecognizable and overall rather tasteless. It came with potato chips and a single piece of toasted bread cut in half??? My order of a Caesar salad resulted in onions on romaine with again an unrecognizable dressing that was not Caesar dressing. The surcharge for adding three scallops was $13. The bill including tip exceeded 140.00 which included wine. Needless to say we will not be re-Turn-ing. Very disappointing.
The cocktails were great. Brussel Sprout appetizer way to much vinegar. For a small menu we were hoping for superb dishes. They were all right, but probably would not come again, unless for cocktails. Tablecloths in dining room would enhance experience also.
Good service and food.
The food was underwhelming. The scallops were cold, the burger was over cooked and the short ribs were dry. And for the price they charge, this should have been better quality food.
Very nice spot, menu is kind of limited but what they do they do well, Drinks were very good, Will definitely be back.
Nice place in a golf club setting. Nice decor and the drive and parking were great.
Restaurant was very nice, clean and the staff was great! Food was horrible especially for the price. There should be no reason to pay $33 for a skirt steak that was tough and no flavor what so ever. On line it said NY steak, totally appropriate but skirt, absolutely not! Eggs even worse, plate full of cold, hard and just bad. The mimosas were not good either as you can tell (if you know champagne) that they used a very cheap brand which gave me an immediate headache. Biscuits and the blueberry compote was Amazing! This was my second and last time I will come, just not worth it. For a Restaurant like this they really need to do better. Menu is also very limited.
Our server was excellent, but my grilled chicken sandwich was dry.
Great service and atmosphere!
Great restaurant, we’d love to return. Our server was just fine- nothing extraordinary. Great views on the golf course. Food was great, but menu items are over priced. They had a few daily specials which were great, but they weren’t advertised- we had to ask.
One of my favorite spots. I enjoy Tuesday nights for $1 oysters and $5 Prosecco’s. Always a good time and nice ambiance.
The restaurant is great, fireplaces located around the dining rooms, wonderful views. The only issue was that the serving of the Eggs Benedict were cold.
Waitstaff often are "green" when it comes to table service, yet each has been pleasant and sincere. The 2-star rating for service is a result of a failure of management, in my experience as a waiter and manager in fine dining restaurants. If a small change, such as minor dress code (eg, no shorts and tennis shoes), would elevate the level patrons and therefore the staff.
That said, the chef clearly has a knowledgeable palette, is creative and should be commended for his passion for locally grown ingredients.
As long as one goes for the food and not the quality of service or ambience, a diner will likely have an enjoyable time. (Our best experience at The Turn House was Sunday brunch, fwiw.)
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience this past Saturday night. The cocktails were outstanding and the food was excellent. My husband couldn’t say enough about how good the short rib was! Maggie was our server and was great with her recommendations and overall service. The restaurant was very busy and I understand why. We will definitely come back.
Loved being able to sit by the fire. Food and service were decent. Our server was great, but I believe very busy because it took a long time between orders, and coffee never made its way with our desert.
Food, drinks, and wine were amazing. It was some of the best bouillabaisse, I’ve had in a very long time.
The appetizers were great. My veggie burger needed more seasoning.
Bit pricey but good.
Delicious! Wonderful service!
Took my family out to dinner at the Turn House. This was our second time here. The food was delicious! The service was great! I highly recommend it.
The food is not worth the price, we spent 300 dollars on dinner and we were not happy with anything. Most of the food is organic so it doesn’t taste like what u would typically expect. Overall it was clean and a nice environment just would not recommend the food.
I searched Saturday brunch on open table and booked the reservation under the assumption it would be the brunch menu however brunch is only on Sunday. We received a very short lunch menu with very limited options. Our server was very nice and did a great job and our burger was good but it wasn’t what we wanted.
Great spot for local date night, nice ambiance food was good
I took my daughter here for her 19th birthday lunch. Even though I mentioned that when I made the reservation, none of the staff wished her a happy birthday. The food was fabulous and we ordered a variety of dishes, but we waited a long time to be greeted d upon arrival and again before a server took our order. Another long wait fir the food, though it was worth it. Then, another long wait just to settle our bill. Overall a lovely outing.
Great dining experience with a comfortable, warm, safe outdoor area!
Very nice dinner as usual
We were told that they were out of the appetizer we ordered after we waited a while for it. The server offered no other options or suggestions, nor did he give us a menu to look for options. I had the spicy black bean burger and the patty was charred and the burger was dry. The best part of the brunch was the drinks...a little overpriced but much better than the food.
We've been to the Turn House many times and have always enjoyed ourselves. This time around, we were seated outside on the patio. As usual, the food and service were outstanding. However, there was a large party next to us that was behaving badly, yet the Turn House staff did nothing to manage the situation. The group was ridiculously loud. They had screaming children that kept running around the tables of other diners. Members of this party kept getting up to smoke along the perimeter of the patio area, and at one point, one of the men smoked at the table. And, the topper: a woman at the table changed the diaper of one of the children while we were eating (the restrooms were within sight distance of our tables). This situation needed to be managed, yet the staff turned a blind eye to the chaos. It is making us rethink a return visit.
A delightful evening sitting outside under heaters enjoying the sun setting. We tried Kabocha Squash Bisque...delicious with new sweet flavors, followed by the apple and nut garden salad, and salmon for our main dish. Yum! Will be back soon.
Great restaurant, highly recommend!!!
First time dining here food was excellent , service very good
This is one of the best outdoor dining spots in the area. Most outdoor dining involves sitting in a parking lot, whereas here there is a lovely patio overlooking the golf course. Part of the patio is covered and part is in the sun with umbrellas. The ambiance was fantastic and so was the service. We ordered the brussell sprout appetizer and 2 salads and everything was cooked and seasoned well.
This was my first time dining here for a business lunch and I will definitely be back.
The server rushed us and seemed to be overworked.
Beautiful day to eat brunch outside! Good food, good service , good ambiance outside, we will return!
Service was ok maybe because we decided to sit outside was the reason why our wait took so long, we got seated with no water or or no menus the hostess was doing alot and could not keep up with all she was doing, but my food was pretty good my wife salmon was missing the mango sauce so the salmon had no type of flavor. I recommend if you can sit inside so you can seated faster
Great outdoor dining. Good wine and drink list. I wish the interior of the restaurant was a little more warm and inviting because I tend not to choose this place when I can't eat outside.
The Turn House has the BEST outdoor location in the area. Beautiful view of the golf course. The food was delicious...the Seasonal Greens salad was perfect for fall with a great combination of crisp apples and spiced pecans. The Bucatini Pasta was served steaming hot with large, moist shrimp. Yum!
