Excellent food and service!
Octopus salad was all heads , almost no tentacles and so rubbery!
We are outside but server was really unfamiliar with the menu and dishes - but she was very very nice. I felt bad for her - as she was trying.
Also Lamb Kabobs were really overcooked and dried out. Grilled veggies were excellent.
A lovely restaurant with very tasty food. Everyone at the table was very happy with what they ordered and even I, a vegan, was completely satisfied. The waitstaff was great. Prices are a tad high, but a great restaurant. Highly recommend.
Awesome service. Really delicious food. Nice waiters and just great!
Birthday. Owner/Chef comp a dessert.
The food is consistently great. The recommendations from the owner were much appreciated.
An excellent experience. Food and service was excellent.
Good food and service
Went to celebrate our Nephew's Birthday. It was our 1st time having Turkish food. Definitely not our last. We had the Hot appetizer Platter, the Mixed Chicken Plate & the Turkish Desert plate. All incredibly DELICIOUS & a Great Introduction to a new Cuisine Experience. Simon the owner was a Great Guy that made us feel right at home. If you've never had Turkish Food you need to go to The Turk.
Recommended by a co worker. My first time eating Turkish food. Ordered a few appetizers and they were all delicious. My favorite was the falafel. My husband and I both ordered the chicken which was marinated in a tomato sauce with zucchini, potatoes and peppers. Came with a side of rice. For dessert we shared the baklava which was very good. Tables on both sides of us ordered the shredded wheat dessert and they were carrying on how good it was. Service was a little slow, but it is a small restaurant and it was prime time on Saturday night. Overall a pleasant dining experience. Would definitely come back again.
Food is always very good. Service is always very slow especially on a Saturday night.
Great place to get together with friends and enjoy
Always great food! Staff is very accommodating, friendly, and professional!
Impressed w food and its value. First time in Mt. Kisco and will go back to that town just to visit The Turk.
Food was very good and reasonably priced. The friendly service could have been tighter, but the owner came
Towards the end of our meal and was so friendly and even showed my son how to play the Saz. Would definitely return!
Everything was super fresh and delicious. We had a cold appetizer sampler and zucchini pancakes. All the entrees were amazing - I don't eat meat very often but it's so good at The Turk that I have to have it. I had the adana, my guest had the lamb chops, others had the kofte - all excellent. The live guitarist was really nice, not too loud, created a nice ambience. The Turkish red wine was excellent - perfect to go with the lamb. Authentic turkish coffee was served at the end. We didn't order desserts but they tucked some in with our doggie bag - a delightful surprise the next day. I love this place, can't wait to go back.
Food and service outstanding. Don’t leave without trying the Baklava
Good local dining
Wonderful food ,excellent dining experience
Very attentive staff
We have been back and enjoyed
The owner (Simon) was there to greet us and because we arrived slightly before dinner, the waiter was not there yet so he did it all -- served water, set the table, took the order. Brought something to taste while we waited for our dinners -- we had 5 kids ages 11 to 15 and they were loud and no one seemed to mind. The place filled up by the time we left for our movies at around 6:45pm -- the food was fantastic and came nice timing! The Turkish wines were tasty and not pricey at all. Simon even serenaded us with a Turkish toon on his funny looking guitar. Lot's of fun -- great experience. We will definitely make it back
Excellent food and very friendly service, a little slow, but the food and friendly waiters makes you forget.
The food is fresh, the seasoning for all of the items is such an experience to the taste buds. Staff are friendly and are able to describe the items on the menu.
Such a lovely place , we took our kids and had a wonderful dinner.
They were so overwhelmed we left after sitting at a table for 30 minutes. The poor couple next to us kept hoping someone would come by to give them a check during that whole time. For long stretches the dining room was actually completely devoid of staff, you could have walked off with whatever you wanted. With a full dining room, some guy took up a 4-top to forelornly play bass guitar. It was like we were all pretending to be at a restaurant.
Owner is super friendly and helpful when ordering about unknown items
The food was exceptionally tasty and service was very friendly and efficient - we're definitely planning to go back.
Be patient. The food is delicious and well worth waiting for. Lamb shanks were unctuous and lovely in a creamy tomato base. Falafel were tiny but tasty, made up for by the generously sized and delicious zucchini pancakes. Chicken shwarma was a pleasing special.
The proprietor and staff in this warm, atmospheric restaurant aim to please. Sip your drink and enjoy your meal. On a Saturday night we were seated quickly, then the restaurant filled very fast and service was cheerful but hard pressed to keep up with the crowd.
Excellent experience start to finish! The restaurant is very pretty, clean, and not too noisy even with (beautiful) live music (a guitarist). The wait staff couldn't be friendlier. And the food was delicious! The pita and mustard dip was great, and the salads, shrimp, chicken, kabobs, and lamb were all flavorful and excellent. Very reasonably priced too! Can't wait to go back with friends next weekend!
Great experience. Nice restaurant and the owner/staff are so warm and welcoming. The food was very good and freshly prepared. The bread was delicious with the mustard/oil dipping sauce. Loved the Mediterranean Salad, The Lamb Ketof and the rice and grains were great. The dessert we had was so unique and decadent. We really enjoyed the atmosphere it was warm upbeat and a great spot to dine! There was even a little love music which was so cool!
Another wonderful meal. Great and friendly service. Excellent wine and recommendations. We go every time we’re in the area.
This was our second visit to this restaurant. The food selection and quality were very good with ample portions. The waiter was excellent. He provided a complementary wine tasting and a sample dessert.
Food was excellent and the staff were warm and quite friendly. Our waiter educated us about Turkish food and history. Go back!
The Zucchini pancakes, were huge and delicious. The Lamb slides were very good and a big plate of food. The salads were fresh and tasty. An excellent value. Many vegetarian friendly options. Will definitely return.
The Lunch Special is a great value. The food was outstanding: cacik (yogurt with cucumbers); eggplant with sauce; chicken kofte; baklava. The only disappointment was the chicken adana, which did not taste fresh.
Owner Simon and waiter (?Essen) were very friendly and personable. Simon is very skilled with the saz, a Turkish stringed instrument.
We will be back!
The food and wine was delicious. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We felt welcome and relaxed. This was the second time we had a terrific experience. We will be back.
Great first experience at this restaurant. We thought the staff was wonderful- friendly, engaging, and accommodating.
Simon and his staff provide great food in a family setting. A generous soul at work providing generous results. A ‘must dine’ restaurant in the Katona area.
Very friendly atmosphere and the staff was wonderful.
We were not planning on eating at the Turk. Happenstance had it that a parking space was available in front of the place. Upon reading reviews we figured..what the heck ...and we reserved and went in.
Delish food, fun menu, terrific reasonable priced wine.
What more do you want.
Reserve, enjoy and tell them we sent you 😀
