   Anatto our server was warm and friendly without being overbearing. The food came out hot and delicious and the portions were very generous! We love the Tulip tree, it always delivers excellence!

   The ambiance and service were great. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. I ordered the filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was served in a massive plate, but the food was squeezed into the top corner of the plate. The rest was used as a canvas for balsamic glaze art. The steak was bland and overly charred, the potatoes were adequate, but polluted by the balsamic glaze. The asparagus was ok at best. Not worth the money at all.

   We chose to venture to Spartanburg to try something new. The Tulp Tree was a great surprise and a wise choice. First, the restaurant was very relaxing and there was plenty of room between the tables, so it was easy to carry on a conversation with your table mates. Second, the drinks were spot on. The Limoncello Lemon Drop was incredible, so we had a few. Third, the food was so good. The Pork Chop was amazing, and the Fried Chicken was perfectly cooked. We had to drive 40 minutes to get there, and it was worth the drive. We talked about how good the food was and what a good time we had the whole ride home. We will definitely go back.

    I have dined there in two occasions and the food was excellent both times. The first time, I had the Shrimp and Grits. They were really good. I took my date there for Valentines Day and we had the chateaubriand and lobster tail. It was delicious. The drinks are very good too.

    My ceaser salad had no dressing at all and skin from the fish in it. So I was a little disappointed by that. The entree with the red snapper was bland. The shrimp and grits were good but would have liked more grits and shrimp for the price. The cheesecake was hard and no cold. I enjoyed my mule and the service was good and everyone was friendly. Was hoping for a better taste.

    Tulip tree has a good atmosphere and the service we received was great. The food we ordered tastes delicious however the serving size was absolutely massive we weren't even able to eat half of our meals due to how large they were. It was a great experience all in all though and we were able to take the leftovers home.

    This was our first time eating here, and we enjoyed it fully. The food was great, drinks were too… Our waitress was very nice and did a great job with everything. We’ll be coming back!

    Some really good items some mediocre items. Deviled eggs fried —interesting, Brussels sprouts charred very good. The butter that come with the bread — needs to go back to the drawing board. Shrimp and grits solid and different. Salmon needs something — Overall an uneven performance but willing to give it another chance

    Our server didn’t come to check on us very much at all. Most of the food we had was absolutely delicious, especially the brussel sprouts. My main issue was that the steak (ribeye) I ordered to be cooked medium rare was medium well and well done in some places. Made it very dry and tough. I’ll definitely be back, but not to get the steak

    There were 10 of us, spent almost $400, and the food was not worth the price. I am willing to pay the price for good food. Those who had fries, it looked like it was dehydrated and tasted like it was either reheated or cooked in old oil that needed to be changed. Whatever the case, those fries were not fresh. BBQ pull pork was dry. Salmon was okay. The best one was the pork chop. That was actually good and moist. I would not recommend this place to my friends. I would not go here again unless it’s someone’s birthday and they have their heart set for here. Atmosphere was good. Service was great. Food presentation was good. I just think it’s overpriced for what we got, especially when it can’t even get the fries right. The quality of the fries says to me they didn’t care, because how can you mess up fries?! They were definitely not fresh.

    All four of us enjoyed our dining experience. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Overall, our food was delicious, especially the salad and crab cakes. Unfortunately, three of us ordered collards but could not eat them because they were way too salty. We do plan to return though.

    The food was overpriced for the quality. Whipped mashed potatoes were bland. Steak was undercooked, maybe due to the thickness, but did have a flavor that didn’t need any sauce. Overall I would rate this a 6 out of 10.

    This little, charming restaurant has very gourmet food and cocktail choices. This my go to for a special lunch or dinner, by myself or with someone. It’s truly special. It has great ambiance!

    l chose to celebrate my birthday at The Tulip Tree. Ambiance was pleasant with tea light candles and gorgeous original artwork every where. The seating was prompt and the staff was courteous and attentive. For drinks, we had the Spanish Flu which I dearly loved. For appetizers, we had the Okra and the Oysters Rockefeller, delicious. My husband loved the pimento cheese twist on the oysters. The okra was deep fried whole pod-yummy! For entrees, I had the crab cakes while he had the prime rib. Delicious! We couldn’t finish either item and they packed it up for us to take home. As a special treat, they brought me a chocolate mini bomb thingy which was to die for. We’re looking forward to going back.

    This time we took friends here for dinner. Other than the filet mignon being undercooked, all was very good. The kitchen fixed that. They do a great job in creating specials and presentation on the plate. Others ordered shepards pie and the crab cakes. The decor is one of the best in town. Our waiter knowledgeable.

    We had a wonderful dinner. The chef (and menu) were new since we last went. We had enjoyed The Tulip Tree in the past, with its lovely spacious and quiet dining area filled with interesting artwork. The food and drinks are even better now!
