Brilliant service on the night. Food was great. However, a few hours before arriving was emailed to say that they cannot serve alcohol. It would have been good to have on the booking page as one of the staff members said they haven't been able to serve alcohol for about 5 weeks as they don't have an alcohol licence. We had also booked into the hotel and wasn't told there either that alcohol cannot be served. Such a shame. The serving staff were very good, and the food was nice. They had emailed to say we can take our own alcohol, so had to drive to Haslemere to get some. Not really the luxury we had hoped for.

Beautiful location and friendly service but unfortunately the food wasn’t great despite being very expensive. The chicken was dry and the lamb was tough. Great chips though.

We were super surprised to see we were the only people in the restaurant at 2pm for Sunday Roast. The venue is great, with great views, good service and food. No idea why it was sooooo quiet, it was a shame as we thought it was good. Just could have done with more people there. Maybe as it was on the pricier side at £24 for a beef roast? Hope with more advertising or something it would bring in the customers???

A fantastic lunch experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Every dish we tried was well-balanced and delicious. Highly recommend for a great midday meal!

We dined here recently and the food is excellent. I had Venison with potatoes and my partner had the steak with chips and salad. We had the artichoke soup as the starter and my partner had a dessert (I can’t remember now which one but it was lovely). The waitresses were very polite. The reason for the 4 stars is that we another couple sat behind us had ordered similar to us but were served before us. When we were sat at the table before them.

Afternoon tea - no one in the restaurant. No variety of cakes, selection was poor where they just put repeated the same cake twice per person.
