I thought the service was amazing, all staff could not have been more helpful. The view was lovely and the restaurant extremely clean and tidy. The food was a little disappointing. We had afternoon tea. The sandwiches had minimal filling and the cake choices were okay but why chose to give a pre made mini scone as part of the cake selection when we already had scones on the third tier was a little thoughtless. I would have liked to see an almond slice or something different but that’s just my opinion. The scones were a bit dry which was a shame because they looked lovely. Thank you to all the staff that waited on us.

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. Staff really friendly and helpful especially when asked about a couple of changes to the meal. The Eton mess was delicious! Would recommend.

Lovely afternoon tea. Food was really tasty. The conservatory is a lovely place to sit. View is gorgeous. Only thing I would recommend to the staff is maybe they would like to run through with the customer what the little cakes are. I’ve been to lots of afternoon teas and this was the only time the waiting staff haven’t gone through what’s there.

Some years ago I remember this restaurant as I lovely romantic candlelit experience. Really special. Sadly, it is now uninspiring and almost neglected in appearance. I wouldn't visit the Tudor restaurant again until it has some much needed TLC (tender loving care!)

Fabulous little hotel - had a great Spa break here - fabulous spa treatments - great little pool - I didn’t use the gym facilities. The food was honestly outstanding - great quality - the staff were all lovely - would highly recommend it - the rooms were spotless - crisp white linen - plenty of good quality teas and coffee bags in your room.

We booked to have tea for an early Mother’s Day and when we arrived there was no one at reception and an iPad was left open at the table. My husband went to sign in on it thinking that it must be self service. Not what you would expect at The Lythe Hill Hotel. A man turned up and we gave our name, then he walked off whilst we stood waiting. He returned as he had expected him to follow him, but did didn’t ask us to, which is why we didn’t follow him. He wasn’t very courteous and hardly muttered a word to us. We had booked a table for three people but he had set a table for 4 and looked confused. He then left left us. There were three other tables with one waiter to serve us. The waiter was very polite and made us feel welcome. I’ve had tea at The Lythe Hill Hotel on many occasions and have been impressed with the service and quality but this time the food wasn’t of the same standard. The sandwiches were lovely but the cakes were quite stodgy and unappealing. However, It was lovely sitting in the conservatory having tea overlooking the garden. Maybe, it was just a bad day as it was a Sunday. I would still return again as my past experiences have been excellent and the setting is lovely.

The service was incredibly fast and the servers were really attentive. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. Nice ambience for valentines day with live background music.
