Please note our policies before booking:

- Our focus is on creating a relaxed, casual space to enjoy good food & drinks, so please be aware that even though our food is exceptional we are not a fine-dining restaurant. Our service is attentive but not intrusive, we don't wear a uniform because we are all individuals & we do play music to create a vibrant atmosphere.

Making a reservation online will allocate you to a regular table, but if you'd prefer to sit in our bar or at our bench seating please leave a note on your booking.

Dining is split over two floors, if you are unable to use stairs please specify on your reservation and we will allocate a suitable table. Our toilets are upstairs only.

Really excellent cuisine-inventive and exciting.This is by far the best place to eat in Stokesley.The service matches the food,too.

Very good service and atmosphere. Friendly staff and customers. The food was very tasty and well presented. Only tip re mains is check what is included you may need to order a side dish. We had seafood chowder to start and was not disappointed. The menu is such that you can have 3courses or just share things. The pinot grigio was very easy going. Would recommend you book as only open Friday and Saturday nights other days until 4pm. Have been back since just for a cuppa and very nice scone.

Definitely catering for younger clientele. Stairs to toilet narrow steep and no rail on part so difficult if you’re not fully mobile. Music loud and intrusive. Lunch menu has Gluten free available but limited and lots of spicy dishes. I should have checked menu more carefully but lamb tagline was tasty. Good choice of teas and lovely pots that kept it hot. The service was ok although one pot of tea arrived without any tea. I chose the truffled hog to meet my mother and sister for lunch and it wasn’t a very relaxed experience.

Loved our experience at The Trufflled Hog. Food, service and atmosphere all fantastic. We had a window table which was lovely but because there was only one speaker servicing the whole eating area (and this was above the table),, the music level was a little too loud at times. However, the music choices were spot on,, so no complaints really!! Will be back…

Regarding your comments about our menu, we deliver new dishes regularly and have launched three completely new menus so far this year, so whilst its unfortunate you felt it necessary to leave a poor review about the menu - we do not think your comments represent us accurately.

Fabulous food interestingly presented. Not quite sure aboiu use of space decor and furniture. Felt like a cafe not a moderatly priced restaurant.

It was a very intentional choice not to create a place that felt like a typical restaurant. Most customers enjoy the relaxed ambience we offer combined with restaurant quality food & drinks and we are extremely happy with the regular positive feedback we receive on the interiors. We were visiting the area and decided to book a table for brunch as we had seen it on the Internet and it look lovely. We weren't disappointed. The staff were friendly and the restaurant itself had a warm relaxing atmosphere. The food was tasty with good quality ingredients. They were also happy to just make a plain Sausage sandwich for the children.
