   Very dog friendly. There were lots of dogs of all sizes both inside and out in the restaurant. Some owners had two or three dogs. Some of the dogs were getting agitated and some were allowed to get up on the tables. This could be the greatest place ever for dog lovers, but allergy sufferers may want to steer clear.

   Enjoyed a very nice meal. Think the waiter was new but he managed well.

   Lovely location and booking via Open Table was easy. Food great, we had a late Sunday roast. The beef was freshly carved and the large yorkies filled with buttered leeks were lovely. I felt the meal could of been served with more veg and perhaps I should of checked the side dishes, but at £13+ each I assumed they would come with an added bowl. The staff were very friendly, however our waitress was a little busy or preoccupied as we had to ask a number of times for sauces, cutlery and drinks.

   Regular customs to the trout inn. This time ordered fish and chips, and lamb. It was alright. Some people were complaining fish and chips was not as good as before. But I think it’s still better than some other pubs. Good dinning environment.

   Our Sunday Roast dinner at the Trout was heavenly. The restaurant itself is worth the trip. Everything about our meal was perfect. We will come back again. We never miss an opportunity to go to the Trout when we are in Oxford. Try to come before it gets dark so that you can enjoy the gardens,the river and the peacocks wandering about. Thank you to everyone at the Trout for making our meal so great.

    On this occasion, the food and overall organization of the hospitality let’s the establishment down. A rethink on quality, method and execution appears to be necessary. Well below English Gastro Pub standard, by a country mile.
