   Could not fault the food. Delicious and well presented Sunday lunch that was enjoyed by all. Unfortunately it was let down by the exstreamly slow service. 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken and we had been in the restaurant well over an hour before any food arrived. Such a shame as the decor and atmosphere are fantastic along with the excellent food, just let down by slow and inattentive service.

   Had a brilliant lunch with family. Staff were attentive and helpful. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was welcoming, warm and friendly.

   We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy but not so busy it was uncomfortable. The service was good and very quick considering all the people there. The food was beautiful, the fillet steak I got was cooked to perfection and is good value for money. The only thing I can find wrong is that the beer and prosecco was expensive.

   We arrived with friends at 8.00pm for our pre booked table at 8.15pm. We had drinks at the bar awaiting our table. Despite numerous enquiries as to when we would be seated, we were shown to our table at 10.04pm. At this point I asked a member of staff if it was possible to speak to the manager? His reply was " I don't think so do you". Obviously this incompetent bafoon had experienced an extremely busy and tiring day shift at the local fast food establishment where he was obviously more at home. The lobster starter did not declare on the menu that it was in fact essence of lobster. The main was mediocre to say the best. The restaurant would benefit from a manager being seen to oversee certain rude egotistic members of staff perform. A thoroughly disappointing dining experience for the second time!!!!

   We had the fish and chips, a couple of steaks (one medium, one medium rare - both cooked perfectly) and the calves liver. Washed down with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few pints of real ale.

   Four very enjoyable meals, don't mind paying if you get quality, Quality is what we got. Very good service

   We had an excellent Sunday lunch here. Portions are generous and the food beautifully prepared using locally sourced produce. Minor alterations to the set meal were allowed (the granddaughter insisted on a Yorkshire pudding with her Bangers and Mash). Friendly and unobtrusive service in a relaxed environment. Well worth the effort.

   Table booked at 1.15 arrived in good time and ordered mains only at 1.10. Could see it was busy and so expected a solid half hour wait for food, in the end we received our food around 2.10 so an hours wait. I don't mind waiting as we were chatting but I do like to be kept In the loop on how long etc it will be, an hour for mains only was pushing it slightly. A simple acknowledgement of us waiting and a sorry would have been lovely. Good overall good once arrived, risotto a little too stodgy, bit looser would have been good. Steak, fish and mussels all good.
