   Fantastic from start to finish, Kris and the team are really welcoming and accommodating, another fantastic night in the townhouse, we shall return very soon.

   Excellent food and high level of customer service. Terrace needs more and better patio heaters. There will only 2 and they didn't give out much heat.

   Very friendly staff the table and seating was fine,the food and drink were good (not cheap) got a bit cold but one of the staff got us a heater,overall would come again and will recommend them

   The townhouse has a lovely setting to it and beautiful outdoor seating! Perfect suntrap. The drinks were spot on especially the cocktails. Food was tasty and worth the value. Only problem we had was delay in service due to being missed at the start but was quickly resolved and discount given. Overall a good enjoyable experience.

   Nice to be back and experience the new outdoors seating. There seemed to be a mix up over our booking which often seems to happen when we book via Open table. No idea why as we had the confirmation number. Service was great. Very friendly. Menu has gone very upscale again, and therefore very expensive. Non of the cheaper options like burger, sausage and mash, chicken skewers on the menu any longer which means it really is just for a special occasion now (and without the kids as there was very little for them to choose from!)

   Our first dining experience here and we were not disappointed. Keen to support the local community on the reopening up due to COVID, we pre booked a table weeks in advance, and so glad we did. The weather was thankfully dry, but it went very cold after the sun went down and there were not enough heaters or covering to ensure warmth. This did not spoil our meal, the food was excellent and the staff were very hospitable. We will definitely be back when indoor meals are permitted.

   The menu was limited to flatbreads but no mention of this was given at the time of booking. We hoped to have a nice relaxed meal as we have in the passed but we left without eating

   Visited Xmas Eve for late lunch with my partner, service was awful. Had to request table be cleaned and old cutlery / empty glasses from previous table reservation be removed, should not have to request this. Took 25 minutes to take a drinks order and a further 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Waitresses too busy talking to the two tables of young lads and girls, clearly not from the same household who were buying rounds of shots. Had to request someone bring a menu and cutlery to the table, that took 40 minutes. Food was lovely, no criticism to the kitchen staff, but the front of house were horrendous. There was one young blonde girl who appeared to be the only service staff who knew what she was doing. The lady who lead us to the table, I assume the matradee was rude, patronising and sarcastic. Usually really enjoy this place, but that experience on Xmas Eve was just a complete disappointment.

    We booked The TownHouse for a Xmas Eve meal for 4. First disappointment was that their food menu was limited for outside eating, which was not declared online prior to arrival. Though the flatbreads were nice, nothing to write home about. Service was very slow whilst outside, the customers inside the establishment were undoubtably prioritised. When the first drinks orders arrived the employee was clearly struggling to which we offered to take the drinks, this was refused and then four alcoholic beverages were spilled over a 15 month old, causing an a lot of distress to her, and a member of the party to leave and change the wet clothes. There was no offer to move us inside as the infants coat was now unwearable after the incident, and it being the height of Winter. The employee in question and gentleman (assumed to be the manager) was also very apologetic and told us he would “sort it out at the end” We then enjoyed our food and drinks and requested to pay. The bill arrived and the initial drinks order (which were consumed in their entirety by the infants clothing and the floor) were not removed. Whilst this was being rectified a further employee attended our table to advise that we needed to vacate the table as the next customers had arrived (despite still being within our allocated time). I can fully appreciate that accidents happen, and don’t want to place blame on any particular individual, however there was no effort to appease our party, including a distressed infant, we were left to our own devices and rushed to leave. though we have received £30 worth of gift voucher to spend in Jan (as the total bill was in excess of £100, nothing relating to the service) we certainly will not be returning for the foreseeable.
