We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Tolbooth. Staff were extremely attentive and assisted with wine selection that matched the choice of food. All the food we ordered was exceptional both in presentation and taste. Certainly worthy of a visit

Perfect location for a seafood restaurant. We found the staff attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious, just wish I had had room for dessert, maybe next time. The whole ambience was lovely, busy but not too noisy.

The Tolbooth is a nice restaurant in a scenic location that serves some excellent seafood (and other options). Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was calm. I ordered the scallop starter followed by halibut for a main. Both were outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant if in Stonehaven.

Another lovely dining experience at this lovely restaurant that is within walking distance for us! :) Delicious food, superb wine and exceptional service. A real treat! Great also to see it so busy with locals and many tourists. Thoroughly recommended :)

The food was tasty, but portions were extremely small for the amount charged. Made for an expensive and unsatisfying experience.

Been coming to the Tollbooth for special occasions over many years but last nights visit was the best...food superb such generous servings of perfectly prepared fish......we had the halibut, rock turbot and hake and all were greatly impressed

We had a wonderful celebration dinner here. Beautiful harbour view from our table. The sea food was fabulous and the staff were attentive but not in annoying way.
