Live Music every Friday & Saturday.
Such a fun place to meet up with friends! Great atmosphere, food and service! There's usually live music on Thursday night which is a plus!
In the Lg indoor dining hall needs to feel homier, some background music definitely needed! I know the new rules with this pandemic makes everything different. Overall great service and food!
Everyone was friendly & pleasant. Thank you for the champagne!!
The ambiance is outstanding! It is very cozy with a stone fireplace on one wall. There are tables, high tops and a bar in this intimate space, so you can have your choice of seating. There was a two man duo playing the night we went and they were excellent, doing a wide range of music. We most appreciated the volume of the music, which was loud enough to hear, yet you could still carry on a conversation. I love that the Hillside has a wide range of music every weekend along with some special events.
The food was really good to excellent. I got the miso halibut over soba noodles. The halibut and noodles were cooked perfectly, but the miso sauce was a bit bland. It could have used more miso. My husband got the pork shank, which was served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. this was outstanding! Cooked
to perfection with a good side portions. We thought the prices were a bit steep- $27.00 for the Halibut (no salad or side) and $24.00 for the shank. The drinks were also a bit pricey for strictly measured pours - 9.00 for wine and $13.00 for Prosecco. My wine did not even seem to be 6 ounces. These are prices I might expect to pay in Boston.
Overall, though, our experience was very good and we will return. Great atmosphere and attentive service.
We had dinner for Valentine’s Day. Absolutely one of the best date nights we have had. Our server (Sara) was amazing and the food was delicious. Everything exceeded our expectations. The chef (owner Anthony?) came out to check on us. The piano player was great and so were the martinis. Everything was perfect! We never felt rushed. Thank you for making our night one we won’t forget. We will definitely be coming back!
Great, as usual!
Very pleasant atmosphere
Sitting by the fire is awesome while eating good food. Lovely experimental drinks too.
I got the short ribs and found them tasty, not too salty. I would get them again.
Everything was great! Noise level loud because of entertainment. Two guitar / singers which were excellent.
Music probably could have worked without a speaker and table conversation would have been easier.
Love the pace. The ambiance in winter, with the fireplace is warming and intimate in the smallish space. Great food and always great specials. We go often enough to be known to the staff, which makes it fun and welcoming
It was our first time there and we will be back! Food was very good and the featured wine paired well with my dinner selection. Our server was wonderful and took good care of us. We will be back and especially can't wait for warmer weather so we can dine outside at the Tiki Bar.
To be fair, the weather was less than ideal so we could not dine outside at the Tiki Bar. There was a golf tournament banquet going on in the private room which left just our party in the dining rooms. Lol our server was seeet and attentive. The food was just mediocre and not piping hot. It was odd that the food was brought into the dining room from outside. Guessing it was prepared in Tiki Bar kitchen and walked over. For now we will stick to cocktails outdoors.
Service was very slow. Only 2 waitresses and it was very busy. Appetizers were delicious, entrees steak & salmon were hot but fries were ice cold. Told waitress and she took one meal of the bill.
Great find!! Sat outside right by the golf course. Beautiful view. Drinks were perfect -excellent spicy bloody mary. Empanada appetizer was delicious. My wife's Asian noodle salad was amazing. My pork belly sliders were delicious.
We lucked out on a quiet Sat. night with a nice table near the golf course and band. Good food, music & service.
Service was excellent!
Nice place to eat outside! Not overly busy and lots of little kids. No kids menu which was a bummer but they do have sliders. Also music almost every night which is a nice touch!
There were four of us who dined here and have all been here in the past.
Service has improved from the past few times, but still needs some tweaks. This is minor, but had to ask for a spoon for coffee and a steak knife to cut the Chipotle chicken that was on the specials menu.
We were all satisfied with our food - pizza was excellent and my chicken was good (could have used more chipotle). The one issue that continues to be annoying is the lack of suitable plates for the food being served. Three of us had to ask for extra plates. The pizza comes served on a board (without a side plate) and the entrees are served on plates that are crowded and aren't practical for cutting. My chicken half came out on a narrow rectangular board/plate, placed over the french fries and no practical way to cut it. When I asked for a plate, the one that came out was too small. After struggling to cut it, I decided to just eat the sides and take the chicken out. I also overheard the table next to us ask for extra plates.
Overall, I really like this place, the view is excellent, as well as the entertainment. I'm very happy that the service has improved and I noted there is a manager that walks around and helps out.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Our first visit. Not our last Music just a tad too loud so hard to talk but enjoyed it very much
We enjoyed the Tobe Rode band outside. Great overall vibe, but the service was slow. Unsure if they were short staffed, but it took over 20 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. Also looked at my food for 10 minutes without silverware to eat it.
My wife and I were seated by the host. No one came over to ask us if we wanted a drink or for that matter anything. Other customers that were seated after us had their cocktails. We left after eslting a good 25 minutes.
Great venue; great entertainment (Tobe Rode). Food was very good but overpriced and small portions.
Sat at a table facing the golf course. Was a nice quiet evening.
Went on Friday and I felt bad for the server she was overwhelmed and could not keep up. And didn’t seem to have any help. Which is too bad since this place is beautiful and need more servers. Also by the time we got our food the food was cold. Again not sure if they can keep up anymore. Not sure if I will be back
Our server Angela was on top of everything. They were short staffed because of the weather they sent people home. The weather ended up being decent and the place was busy. She was running both inside and out. That girl deserves a raise!!
Service was poor but everything else was good Our server forgot things like silverware napkins and when wife ordered Diet Coke with lemon it arrives with no lemon.
Were a large group and they made use feel welcome. Due to bad weather we were seated inside the bar area. Music was inside as well. We had a wonderful time !
We were there in the afternoon so very quiet. Staff was attentive. Food was very good.
We went with a party of 8 for a Birthday. Beautiful night and great entertainment.
They were very busy which is great but service is slow and prices are high for what you get. Coconut shrimp was 14.00 for 4 med shrimp also had the chicken sliders for 12.00 which came out plain and overcooked, the chicken was about 1/2 thick and terrible and I think the worse part of the night was the chocolate tower cake that was suppose to serve a few people which was a piece of cake on its side with no ice cream or candle and was 15.50. No manager ever came over and nothing off the bill which was over 300.00 with the tip and 5 of the people did not have any alcohol. I have been here a few times and love it but the food prices for what you get and the quality is way off. Not sure if I will be back What a shame.
Service was particularly slow - food came and you could tell it had been sitting - was not hot - chalked it up to first nice night with no rain and they were super busy
The menu is even better this season.
We have been going here for years - The view is terrific, overlooking the golf course on a beautiful patio. A lot of money went into creating the Tiki Bar. Menu selections are varied and inventive, so there is something for everyone. Plenty of cocktails to choose from, as well as wine and beer. Nice dessert selection. Food is prepared well. There is entertainment on the weekends.
So much is done correctly, that it is curious as to why the service is so poor. I have also overheard other tables around ours complaining about this. Whether it's waiting for a drink or to get the check, it's been a problem over the past two years. I don't blame the servers, it seems they are doing their best, but just aren't trained properly. The servers don't help one another out, so you may have one standing around and while another is overwhelmed.
I would recommend going here for the uniqueness of the venue, but with cautioning the part about the service. Hopefully management will remedy the problem.
We sat outside overlooking the golf course. It was pretty and peaceful. My kids were ecstatic to not see one bug while we were there. The price of the food was higher than the quality of the food. The food was decent and we loved the atmosphere so we would return.
Our waitress Sara was great.
Went for our anniversary and they went out of their way to make us feel special.
Love this place food is always good atmosphere on a beautiful night is great! Saturday night’s music wasn’t that good ... too cruise ship
Always a fun time when the weather is great! The singer on 5/18/19 was awesome too!!
20 min wait for drinks. Calamari was cold a rubbery. Margarita pizzas was undercooked, col, and crust was still dough like. Usually a great time with great food.... this trip was terrible!!!!
Executive Summary: Ambiance was nice, but don't waste your money on the food unless you're starving.
We sat in very comfortable leather chairs next to the fireplace, which was nice and warm. We were the only patrons there at the early time on a Saturday night (4 more couples arrived after we had been there for 30 min). Waitress was 'cherry', but we felt rushed, despite being the only ones there. She served us on autopilot, with standard questions which she didn't even bother to look at either of us as we answered (thus the autopilot reference). Food was edible, but we wouldn't waste a night out for dinner there again. One meal was shrimp scampi (mostly pasta and only 4 pieces of shrimp). Pasta was under cooked and barely warm. Other meal was Wild Boar (small cubes of pork, beef, veal) with pasta and cream sauce (again, mostly pasta, but decent amount of meat). This meal was obviously prepared in advance, dumped on a plate, and nuked to warm it up. When you do that, cream sauces thicken to a paste, which is what this was. Barely any taste and went down with the heaviness of lead. Would recommend this place for its ambiance for going out for drinks (we don't drink btw), but that's about it.
