Sally, Dave and their team at The Throckmorton, Coughton look forward to greeting you.

Following a major refurbishment in Autumn 2014 under the new ownership, Sally and Dave pride themselves on offering fresh, local, homemade food every day from 9am to 9pm.

The various menus include restaurant quality seasonal dishes from the ‘Chef’s Recommendations’ section through to a great selection of fresh fish and tasty steaks.

Service, friendly, quick and efficient . .Food was excellent! The Thai curry was the best I’d ever had. Great value for money. Definitely will be returning.

Excellent menu with lots of varied options for our party of 5. Service was really friendly and speedy. We sat outside as the weather was good but interior of the pub was lovely.

Eight of us lunched here and whilst overall the food and service was first rate we all puzzled a little over the choice of starters. The starters are either with flatbreads or tapas bowls and we would have preferred some more traditional choices. Should we go back and the menu remains the same I think we would skip starters and have a dessert instead.

We've eatem at The Throckmorotn many times before, often bringing friends. But yesterday, a dish I hadn't tried before, the chicken caesar salad was very poor. The chicken was so little cooked it was hard to cut it with a knife. Chicken should be so tender you hardly need to cut it. A great shame.

Very disappointing experience We had a very disappointing meal with our friends on Sunday 8th June. We were told at the bar that there was one medium rare roast beef left which they would keep for one of our group of 4. By the time we came to order 5 minutes later it was gone! 3 of us had the well done beef. However we felt the beef had been left to go cold then microwaved to warm up. The vegetables were nice. We all had prawn cocktail starter, the bread roll again appeared to have just come out of the microwave, not the oven as it was not brown at all and tasted very doughy! The Pepsi max was very syrupy and flat, we had to ask for the 2nd one to be changed. We felt the whole experience to be rushed, as we were told the pub closed at 21.45!

Excellent venue for breakfast visit regularly food is lovely and staff are very nice and friendly also near a lot of attractions in the Warwickshire countryside
