   Well cooked food except for the chips which were undercooked, barely warm and rejected. Not a problem as they came back beautifully cooked, hot and well presented. I can not comment on dessert as I don't eat them but selection looked good.

   Greeted and seated quickly on arrival and offered drinks. Menu selection of a main menu, lunch and specials. Food order was taken and the food arrived in a timely manner, hot and presented nicely. All enjoyed. Nice choice of Deserts and coffee. Staff are pleasant and efficient. Experience card No. 1263

   Good service food was good and came fairly quickly. Third time we have been here and will certainly be back. A little surprised it was not the Sunday menu on a bank holiday Monday but were not disappointed with our food choices.

   Passed this pub many times, and wondered what it was like. Made a booking for about lunchtime. A choice of tables, it was about a third full. First, we intended to have a light lunch, but the menu didn't reflect what I had seen online. The server pointed out that there was also a bar menu which contained the items. Any way, decided to give that a miss and have a main. 2 x 250ml Chardonnay - £19.80 2 x Pints of Butty Back (can recomm end) - £11.20 Half Chicken off the special's menu - £20.95 Small battered fish and chips - £14.00 Total - £65.95 The interior was clean and tidy, quite pleasant. The staff were helpful, although, I had to get their attention a couple of times, but may be due to the table where we were sat. All in all a good meal, and I would return.

   Ranking as one of our favourite restaurants, this did not disappoint. The food was spectacularly good for all three of us. Tasty starter , excellently cooked main courses, all three were different . Plenty of vegetables as well as meat, so often veg. can seem an after thought. The service was prompt, smiling and with awareness of my Lactose free need. There was a broad choice within the two menus, both of dishes and prices. I wish I lived a little nearer!!

    Although restaurant was half empty we were disappointed that 2 dishes were "off the menu" limiting the already small selection of veggie options formy friend. I opted for fishcakes/poached eggs but very disappointed that your chef can't cook a runny poached egg! Both were hard boiled which wasn't how this dish should be cooked. Neither of 2 staff members were readily available to advise. Was also quite frustrated that at only 8.30ish the 2 staff members were loudly clonking & banging around with setting up tables & cutlery right near our table making it difficult to hold a conversation. Considering the prices aren't that cheap we were disappointed with food quality which was also only luke warm. Doubt we'd return for food again.
