The Theater Buffet
Will not go back for dinner maybe only breakfast
I would not recommend this restaurant
People should be made aware that what they show on they website is not what you will get when you arrive
We booked from overseas for Xmas dinner
Menu looked good
Walked pass on the day at lunch looked at menu for that night
Lunch was $35 per person could see tutkey and rub fillet being carved and many hot dishes and desserts
Arrived for dinner at $79
no turkey no ham no pasta dishes as advertised every thing looked poor quality
So we left long way to come from Australia to New York
I spoke to staff didn’t seem concerned
Super top es war ausgezeichnet top top top top top top top das Essen Ambiente einfach alles
Good value for New York City. Food was good. Host Raydar was very welcoming and pleasant and checked to make sure all was well. Water service could have been better. We will return.
The ambiance was great but aside from the Ribs, the food sucked in this place! Not content at all with the quality of their menu. They need to learn a thing or two from places like Texas De Brazil, etc.
Great place. Solid food - fresh and varied - and at $35 this is perhaps the best value in the city.
IT'S A GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE IN MANHATAN....QUICK, COMFORTABLE, SURPRISINGLY GOOD FOOD AND ATTENTIVE STAFF....FOR A LOCAL LIKE ME, THIS IS A VERY REAL BUFFET (EAT ALL YOU CAN) MANHATTAN STYLE.
We were looking for a dinner buffet restaurant near Times Square and came across this restaurant. Online reviews gave this place at least a 4/5 rating. We went around 8:30 pm and it was not crowded on a Saturday evening. It was quiet. Food was very mediocre and reminded me of a buffet at an all-inclusive resort. There was nothing that was a stand out and nothing special. The food was mostly dry and not as varied as we were expecting it to be. It was disappointing. We won't be back.
2 personas que comieron mouse de berries se enfermaron
Buena, la comida buena solo que dos compañeros de
La mesa se enfermaron a nosotros
No nos pasó pero la experiencia no fue muy grata por lo sucedido a alguien tan cercano
High end buffet offerings in an energetic & lively space. Definitely worth da tariff.
This was a hit / miss for me. The food wasn't bad BUT there needs to be more of a variety if it wants to stay in business. Like all good buffets there needs to be a variety of side dishes but there were very little. The french fries were not crisp and the what I believe to be stewed tomatoes were not to appealing, to me. There was also no signs for the sides unlike for the meats/seafood. The meat/seafood was quite good and the staff was also very attentive. The only other issue for me was the beverages. Non-alcoholic drinks are NOT part of the price (too me this is ODD and I was quite shocked when I was brought my check and I was charged for ALL my drinks). No one told me and I did complained because to me a buffet comes with a drink , why not add it to the price and just give it with the meal.
Don't go here. Two of our four people got sick after dinner.
I love this place, my family and I went there for a dinner birthday. The food was amazing and the service even better. I would recommend this place for any ocasion.
I went to this place with my boyfriend for a special occasion and we were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the hostess who guided us through our table. The food was delicious. The wine menu fantastic. I only wish that they have more variety of dessert. The value was excellent compared to other prices we had seen around the area.
I had the salmon which I can highly recommend. When we return to NYC we will go back.
I had a wonderful meal at The 8th Avenue restaurant! The food exceeded my expectations, and the staff was attentive and kind. I will most definitely be coming back! Thank you!
The restaurant is very nice and cozy. The great food is a very good option for dinner in the center not only for those staying at the hotel. Very attentive staff
I decided to go to try this Restaurant for the first time with a friend and the service was great. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The kitchen staff makes sure to walk you through their menu since it varies every day. The [paella Valenciana] was my favorite. I will revisit this place again.
It was a spectacular night the food is very good presentation, the service Excellent very fast and very helpful, I recommend that you visit the hotel 😍👍
This is amazing places great people working there food everything it good
Food and service was perfect . Our server was outstanding. I can’t wait to visit again
Excellent experience celebrating my husband's 40th. Great service, incredible food in a beautiful calming space. Try the tasting menu! Highly recommend.
By chance I found this restaurant on 8th Ave with 46 and its dinner buffet sign at 35USD. The restaurant is modern and clean, in addition to having a very friendly staff all speak English and Spanish. And most importantly, the food, they offer a good variety with first qualities. Congratulations! in my future holidays I will return!
I had a great time I received great service and the food was well done exactly how I like I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
In all honesty the place food and staff was very exceptional i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to dine around the area. coming from a VERY picky eater the food was great! 👌🏻
This was a great experience I enjoyed the it a lot the employees were very friendly and respectful and they all greeted us with smiles I hope to come back here again . Great food service
Wife and I were in New York City for our 33rd anniversary and my wife's "Broadway fix" May 2-6, 2018. We wanted a restaurant near the Brooks Atnkinson Theater to see a musical. No restaurant had Saturday night reservations we could get. Walked by the Riu Hotel and their 8th Street Restaurant signs in window said full buffet, $35 a person, menu changes daily. Made a reservation on Open Table and went in May 6. Restaurant was nicely appointed and looked as thought it hadn't been open very long. Jean-Carlo was our main staff person and he took care of us as well as other tables. Rayder, another staff person, brought us a special dessert to commemorate our anniversary. I have never seen such meticulously prepared and kept food on the buffet line in my life, not even in the world's "Buffet Capital", Las Vegas. I am a meat and potatoes guy and I did fine with the mashed potatoes, sauteed potatoes, sliced chicken breast, gnocci and shrimp, chicken croquettes, etc. Food was kept in heated pans with integrated lids. The offerings with respect to salad, entrees, carving station, and desserts was incredible. I thought the restaurant was either a new space added to the hotel, or had been some other iteration of a restaurant in the past and its space and menu were re-vamped. Large picture windows allowing us to see the general Times Square area and people-watching. Jean-Carlo and Rayder were a delight to work with and the 8th Avenue Restaurant will be put into our dining rotation the next time we are in New York City. The price does not include alcohol. I had a beer and my bill with tax (excluding tip) was $84.38. Mind you, this wasn't "Golden Corral" type quality food on this buffet line. This was 4-star !! Wish the 8th Avenue Restaurant long success and thanks for taking care of us the way you all did.
