We are Oakland's most romantic and beautiful lake front restaurant, set in a 1920s art deco supper club with panoramic view of Lake Merritt. Come enjoy your choice of fresh fish, juicy meats, fresh and local vegetables and our delicious cocktails!

With Happy Hour Mon-Thurs, 5 pm - 10 pm, you can enjoy 2 for $10 wines by the glass and $5 well drinks. Then head into our dining room for a delicious meal.

Kitchen was very slow. Took 45 minutes from time we ordered to delivery of meal. And no one compensated us with a free drink or a pre-meal bite. Disappointed in the kitchen time management this time around.

I always enjoy taking friends/relatives here for lunch...GREAT view, quiet, and generally good food. Unfortunately the bill was incorrect; I was charged the dinner price for one entree instead of the lunch price, which I caught before paying. They apologized..a computer error. Love it when Rodney Bell is at the piano...playing and singing! This place is a gem and I particularly like how they make a birthday celebration special by serving a complimentary dessert with a lit candle!

This is a great spot for brunch. The bottomless mimosas are a great value. The servers are always happy and hard working and the view can't be beat!

Visited for a Saturday Brunch. I would say the food was "nothing special" though certainly no problems with it. The Bloody Marys were potent and view on Lake Merritt was very nice. A nice place to stop if you're in the area.

Our Sunday brunch was delicious, the view was gorgeous, and the jazz trio was icing on the cake. Our server, Natalie, made our dining experience more enjoyable. She was knowledgeable, cheerful and upbeat. Looking forward to going again.

Walking into the Terrace Room is like walking into the past. I was there many years ago and it still looks the same. The food was ok as was the service. There wasn't anything special about it that I could write about other than the fact that the views of Lake Merritt are beautiful.

Beautiful view from this restaurant. I had no idea that the Lake Merritt Hotel is an independent senior living building....imagine my surprise when I walked in there! It was, however, delicious, our waiter was terrific, the view from our window seat was outstanding, and it was fun to have lunch there.
