   The Terrace restaurant has a super atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming. The food was beautifully presented, extremely tasty and the new menu was a definite improvement on the last one. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there on an otherwise wet and miserable day.

   3rd visit since Covid, still a too 'variable' experience Prewarned on arrival that it was a new menu and asked to bare with the team. The cold consomme starter was sublime. The Ceasar salads (we all 3 chose for our main) were poor, limp lettuce, overcooked chicken (unsliced) variable content on 3 plates no consistency at all in ingredients, I had no anchovies, other 2 no Parmesan, incredibly poor for a simple dish, sent back waited over 15 minutes for a replacement meal which was equally inconsistent. Food delivery took forever for three simple courses. The final insult was a 'fridge cold' fruit crumble served with no custard or cream. The restaurant and clearly the kitchen were understaffed and over worked. I'm hoping this was a one off dreadful day for them. The management had the sense to make no charge which was appreciated.

   Very enjoyable afternoon tea. The Terrace restaurant is a lovely venue, nice bright decor, light and airy and a warm ambiance. The staff were very attentive and the food of a good standard.

   The lovely setting and pleasant environment was matched by some well conceived and presented dishes which were all delicious. The service did not quite match the rest - an obviously inexperienced waiter took our order is a somewhat confused manner. The wine did not arrive and we had to chase it although the food did not take too long.

    Understandably suffering from shortages. Most of the menu not available and the staff were quite inexperienced though trying hard. Lovely venue - this was our second visit. Hopefully things will get back to the norm real higher standard soon

    Mother’s Day afternoon tea at Wisley. Pre- booked for 3.15pm sitting. Had to chase food after 25 minutes. Food was high quality. Tea served was cold. No one was designated to our table and subsequently we were continually forgotten about. No one being attentive. Service charge should have automatically been waived. Lots of staff but poorly managed.

    The food, service and ambience was very good, the only downside of the afternoon tea was not having a pot of tea per person on the table, as being served with the flask pots the tea was becoming stewed.

    I appreciate that the booking was in the Tulip room, but to be honest the ambiance of that compared to the Terrace was quite stark and I did not find it to be a nice enough alternative. The service was basic, so maybe the team are not used to the set up either? Coffee was pretty basic filter type and the tea was pretty average too. Most annoying of all, was that there were no details on the booking notes about having to pay the entry fee to the gardens on top of the booking, so it is presumed that you can access the eatery without getting stung another 16! This makes it quite expensive for a not very special mothers day afternoon tea experience. Would 100% not recommend or do this again.

    Afternoon Tea in the Tulip Room for Mother's Day. Noisy, lots of hard surfaces, echo-y, made it hard for our elderly mother to hear any conversation. Lack of ambience, tea brought out in cups with a tea bag in! No finesse with the experience, expected more for the money, such as table linen, tables cleared promptly, tea pots, water already available without having to ask. It would appear that the place was understaffed, the appearance of a female member of staff when we were nearly finished greatly improved the ambiance. She was welcoming, concerned about patrons experience, checking each table, but still we felt it was overall a very disappointing experience.

    Didn’t bother eating here in the end, as you had to pay the £16pp garden entry fee. I went back and looked and it is in the small print but not clear enough. Lady on reception was VERY rude and therefore put us off. £152 it would have cost for an afternoon tea so we opted against it. Please make instruction clearer, and friendlier staff may have given encouragement

    Lovely place, great service and food, however the tea came from a thermos usually seen in office meetings and when it got to us there was barely enough for half a cup and completely stewed! They did give us more tea but had to constantly ask. Would have been nicer to have had your own pot on the table.

    Sadly the room was changed and it felt like we were in a spare conference room. Tea was served from thermos jugs so not fresh. Had to keep asking for top ups for tea. Staff were lovely but trying to manage something they don’t normally run. Cakes and sandwiches were nice. Overall wouldn’t rush back. Usually live meal in the terrace room.

    Hi, I'm afraid we were very disappointed with our Mother's Day Afternoon Tea at the Terrace Restaurant. We were put in a side room where no effort was made, no table cloths on the tables, no flowers, and after sitting down it took 20 minutes for a member of staff to come over and speak to us. And the most horrendous thing was the tea was served out of a thermos flask and tasted faintly of coffee! I mean, who gives you tea in a thermos flask when you go out for afternoon tea! The sandwiches, scones and cakes though were luckily delicious.

    We ordered a Full English breakfast each. When the plate arrived, we were horrified to see that the sausages were undercooked and, on further examination, were cold also. Our server did take the plates back to the kitchen for the sausages to be replaced/fully cooked. However, by the time we got our plates back, the eggs were stone cold. We booked for 0930 and there were about 3 to 4 tables occupied in the restaurant at this time. Therefore, the kitchen was not overpressed in fulfilling orders. Given that the price of the Full English Breakfast is quite high, we expected that the meal would be edible. Also, isn't it basic practice to check everything is correct before a meal is sent to the table? We were disappointed that the food was so poor as The Terrace Restaurant is nice spot to go to after a long journey to RHS Wisley.

    There was a very long delay between our starters being finished and the delivery of the main course. It was what ruined an otherwise acceptable meal. The manager did apologise but the delay was the problem.

    Great good pleasant ambience service started pleasantly but got rather slow as restaurant became busier and we had a struggle to get attention to ask for plate removal and menus to get to dessert.

    Our 3rd visit, this time for my aunts 90th birthday. Very well looked after and excellent food. Plenty of space between tables and pleasant atmosphere. Will go again, next time is for afternoon tea.

    Lunch at The Terrace is always a treat. The food is incredible, with a really lovely menu, nice cocktail options and delicious desserts. The staff are absolutely fantastic and provide attentive, yet discreet service. It is smart enough to make lunch feel like an occasion yet doesn't break the bank.
