The Terrace Grill
Food and service were good.
A welcome addition to downtown Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant has just the right atmosphere and the octopus appetizer is one of the best in the city.
I was there for the first time with my wife celebrating my birthday! It was very elegant! Our waiter Martin did a wonderful job! He explained the menu very well! Made some recommendations, check on us and made sure we got everything we want! Two thumbs up for Martin ! We will definitely dine there again and will recommend to others! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was good, but not great. I felt it was overpriced for what you get and the quality. Also, I found out that ‘Greater Fort Lauderdale Restaurant Month’ is going on and we were not told or given the special menu for this during our visit. Disappointed.
It was great service and awesome birthday attention and nice touch details.
Had a great time. The service was excellent and everyone in our party really enjoyed their dinners. The Lamb chops were the best in town and the burger was incredible. The fish of the day, bronzino, was delicious but the portion was smaller than at other restaurants.
Lobster Bernause WAY Overpriced! 4 bites of food !
Will never order again . Very disappointing.
Stayed at the Dalmar Hotel, which is where the Terrace Grill is located. I had great service. The servers are dressed well. I came at 9:30p. They close at 10. I never felt rushed or felt that my food was hurried.
FORGOTTEN? Table of 5?"
This past Saturday night, my partner and I took some friends out for dinner at the Terrace Grill. The restaurant looks amazing inside and the seating was comfortable. We were seated right behind the hostess stand, not in the main dining room, with one other table next to us.
Our server was very nice and brought out drinks and appetizers in a timely manner. The grilled octopus, truffle fries and tuna tartar were all very tasty. The dinners were good but for the prices charged the portions should be larger. The scallops were a decent size but didn't have much taste to them. The branzino and trout tasted great, I just wish there was more to eat.
Overall, I think the kitchen could step it up a bit. My problem with the experience was that our server was extremely busy and once we finished eating it seemed like we were the FORGOTTEN table. We sat with empty plates and glasses in front of us for about 15 minutes before I finally got up from my chair to tell the well-dressed manager, who had already walked by our table a few times, that I needed the table cleared. He was polite and immediately cleared the table. A few minutes later our server returned and took out coffee orders.
i tried the crave restaurant month 3 course menu, choosing the tropical salad (nothing special), the chicken and dumplings (jerk chicken was good and the dumplings were kind of a cross between pao de queijo and hush puppies and tasty), and the pineapple rum cake. in addition i ordered the corn and crab curry soup on the side which was thick and yummy. the service was good.
Very mediocre. Not worth the money. Service was excellent.
We had a fabulous evening dining at The Terrace Grill to celebrate our parents anniversary! The drinks, appetizers, and main courses were top notch! The staff worked hard to make our evening enjoyable, especially our main server, Tunji. He was very friendly, welcoming, and patient. He even brought us a round of champagne so we could give my folks a proper toast. We will definitely be returning!
Our waiter and table were fantastic. Enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Chef Craig is the best chef in south Florida! Top notch meal and experience!
The decor and service was amazing. It was a great impromptu dinner. The trout was delicious. I will definitely be returning to try other things on this menu.
Trendy place, food was great, good artesian cocktail list, portions bigger than expected, probably best mussels I ever had. Took clients. We will definitely go back.
Excellent food and wonderful service. A little on the pricey side
The food was good but the ambiance was better. The service was awesome.
High Noise level combined with a waiter that had a difficult speech accent made for bad communications. The food that was good was the 2 appetizers: deviled eggs and artichokes.
The Dover sole was served in a swimming pool of butter. Yuck!
The two orders of lobster salad had lots of cold potato chunks that ruined the salad.
It was a great experience. Everything was perfect. Will be going back again
The Terrace Grill is a great addition to the FLL downtown dining scene. Great ambiance - I love the bar area especially. Courteous and responsive service and wonderful food. An all around winner for me.
Had a great time taking an out of town guest there for dinner and then drinks at The Sparrow. I was glad I made reservations for both. We ordered the Tuna Tartare, Grilled octopus and the Filet and lobster dinner special. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. Service was warm and genuine and accommodating as I had to request to push back our reservation at The Sparrow 30 min so we could finish dinner without rushing.
Absolutely fantastic place.
Great food, service and ambiance.
LOVED IT. WINSTON WAS OUR SERVER AND HE WAS WONDERFUL. THE SPARROW AND THE TERRACE WERE POSITIVELY STUNNING
The ambience of the restaurant was well worth the trip but the food was mediocre at best. Add to the fact that they are asking top dollar for a meal in the area makes the overall experience Very disappointing. Never going back, would tell everyone not to waste their money.
Our waiter was fantastic; food was very good; we did have some problems with the noise
Hotel has a terrible issue with valet parking.
Service was slow and we were a large party. I would recommend this for a group of people looking to grab food and drinks but not seeking a 5 star experience.
Food was amazing from the appetizers to the entrees. The GM Barak was very inviting and shows a high level of service. Both Chef Craig (Executice chef) and Chef Gaston (sous chef) made remarkable dishes. The environment was amazing and exactly what the local crown need and wants!!
We live within walking distance of the Dal Mar, and obviously hoping for the best, as we would have loved to add The Terrace to our regular dining list. Unfortunately, I doubt that will be the case. The dining room itself is gorgeous. We were welcomed by a friendly and attractive hostess, our server was attentive, but the food.
The food is not at all inexpensive, which I have zero problem with, as long as the food quality is representative of the price. Between the two of us we had shared a bottle of sparkling water, artichoke appetizer, a pork chop, and the vegetarian entree. Total check $96.00 with tip. Again, no issue with price if the food quality matches. The Kurobuta pork chop was so dry, only half was edible, the artichokes were edible, but were very under seasoned, so much so that I had to disassemble the salt shaker to get at that much needed salinity. My veg entree was a giant vat of bland beluga lentils with a few sad stems of broccoli rabe, and what I think were sun dried tomatoes?
The only thing I would critique our server about was he should have known that we weren't pleased with what we were given. He saw the half eaten entrees and offered to-go boxes. Our stern "no" should have been a heads up. I hate being "that guy" that makes a scene about poor food quality, but this should have been one of those times.
That said, we live so close, and the dining room is so comfy, (albeit very noisy) that we will most likely give it another try. We're rooting for The Terrace, but they've got work to do in the kitchen.
Beautiful setting, very good
Food, and great service!
This was the second I had dinner there. Enjoyed both times. However, both times we were swishing bugs away. The first time I had dinner outside so I thought that was it. Saturday we had dinner inside. The little flys were not as bad, but present.
We all enjoyed our food, service & location. Even spent the night there. We booked two rooms. Nice experience except for those little flying bugs.
Always great food and great service. Would definitely come back again.
Other than this being an physically attractive restaurant and the service was good, i have nothing positive about this new place in Ft Lauderdale. Beginning with a Ceasar salad, which was tasteless and tuna tartar which was warm and very bland, going on to 2 different types of fish: Salmon which had no flavor at all and a Dover Sole which had no evidence of capers and a butter sauce. A couple grey goose on the rocks were good but hard to mess up. Then for this experience the bill comes and its >$200.00. Now I'm not in Miami or NYC so I'm a bit insulted.... Plus tip, wasn't waiters fault...
Now the atmosphere, yes beautiful restaurant as we had a very nice table on the window with a view of the dinning room and bar, but the acoustics are so bad, we could barely hear our waiter, nor have a normal conversation.
Bottom line: Won't be back
Last night was our first dinner at this restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised: great menu and service. We will be back for sure!
I was there before opening on an event and on the opening event and well. So far it’s one of my fav place in FLL.
Amazing decor great service and food was also a 10
