The Terrace Grill
Don’t worry about getting lost: Set in trendy Flagler Village, you can find The Terrace Grill on the ground floor of The Dalmar, half a mile north of Las Olas.
Our server Josiah was excellent, one of the best we have had in a long time.
My first time at The Terrace Grill and I'll be back. The food was great and the presentation was beautiful. Our server, Josiah, was a pro. You don't get that at many places in Fort Lauderdale. The Tuna Crudo was a highlight.
Overpriced, small portions, loud music and bad service.
All very nice but potatoes in an appetizer is a bit heavy when they feature them on most wished as well.
Nice new experience for locals. Great spot for young professionals and hotel guests. Rooftop bar and lounge is very relaxing with many options for seating and conversation. Great views of the city lights.
We invited an individual who works or me and his wife who moved to FL this year to a first dinner meeting spouses. Everything was perfect from our arrival to picking up our car from the valet. You get what you pay for... and this restaurant always delivers. It’s our new “go-to” place whether just the two of us or entertaining guests.
The ambiance and decor of the restaurant is well done. The service was good but difficult to understand the waiter because of background noise. The food was very good and portions were well balanced. I would go again.
Beautiful room, nice service, very good minestrone, decent citrus hurrays, worst veal Milanese (I’d say I’d ever eaten but I took two bites and sent it back.). They handled things well and my friend’s salmon was excellent
A new entrant into the Fort Lauderdale scene, now on its 3rd chef, missed the boat.
The only notable item was the lentils, which were excellent. The remainder of the meal was simply blah. Nothing had any flavor. It’s as if this new chef has something against seasoning and sauces.
Over $200 later, we will not return. Restaurants in Wilton Manors serve better meals at half the price.
When I am in Fort Lauderdale, I will eat here several times (as I did this week). Love the atmosphere and the service.
Celebrated my birthday there with my husband and two young kids (8&7 year old). No kids menu but they accommodated them wonderfully and with no issue whatsoever. Appetizer was delicious (grilled octopus). My husband ordered the lamb chops and cleaned his plate. I ordered the Dover sole. It was $60.00 for basically a piece of pan sautéed fish. Nothing really special about it. There were a lot of bones which for the price, I was not expecting. Overall though, the restaurant itself was beautiful, our waiter was excellent and I would go there again but just order something else...my husband loved the lamb chops! 😘
The place is beautiful but the food has something missing. For the price I expected more.
A wonderful surprise to find in Fort Lauderdale !!!
We went because the restaurant was in our hotel, and it was raining outside. What a great piece of luck. The dinner was outstanding.
We had an amazing experience here for our Valentine’s Day date. I was given a rose upon arrival and the host was very kind. Our server was probably the best server I’ve ever had anywhere. He was so funny and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. We would definitely come back here when we come back to Florida.
Samantha and her team were exceptional! Great evening!
Great service by Sam again and food and beverages very good except for the special which was prawns with homemade egg noodles with lobster foam. Other entrees, appetizers, and soup were very good. Bread is exceptional too.
Overall very enjoyable dinner.
From start to finish everything was fantastic! Great service!
Excellent, knowledgeable waiter and plenty of great choices delivered an enjoyable dinner.
Nice selection of food, done well.
When we first arrived we did not like our table, the manager and staff were so accommodating to get us a new table that was amazing. Thank you for making us feel so good on the super bowl weekend where everywhere you go is a NO ! Amazing place! Thank u
The flavors are great. You will need to salt your food if you like a lot of seasoning. Otherwise, beautiful dishes. Decor is gorgeous and service was top notch (thank you, Wilson). Music is way too loud if you want to have a good conversation. Really nice though.
It was good not exceptional but a solid meal
Excellent meal. The special was a 6-hour roasted ribeye—fantastic. Samantha provided stellar service.
Interesting surroundings. Drinks at bar before being seated. Thought bar was a bit too under lit. Good drinks and service.
Had a reservation and first offer for seating was upfront by door. Not desirable. Reseated at better table. Waiter Wilson was friendly and very attentive and informative of specials. Food came and one plate was warm to the touch other plate was cold. Food was warm and delicious. This was not waiters fault this was kitchen and expeditor’s fault. Definitely would go back again. Great atmosphere! Would love to see and try rooftop bar.
Good food but, music is too loud and a/c too cold .
Our waitress was terrible. Sweet but horrible service.
Minestrone soup was watery and bland.
Enjoyed the breadbasket and the scallop dinner.
Our experience was just so so. I thought although our server was knowledge and attentive she placed the meal extremely slow.
We ordered 2 octopus for the table and later informed they were out for the evening. Additionally they were later out of the chocolate ganache dessert we ordered. I ordered the filet over risotto special and found the risotto extremely bland and lacking flavor or salt.
For the price we paid and the rave reviews I read online I had expected more from our dining experience. The menu is a little boring and outdated and most likely will not return.
Rooftop bar of the Dalmar Hotel is great and a lot of fun.
Nice ambiance, food was good but service was a bit slow.
Food was very good and vibe/music much better than a previous visit. Service was crazy slow and didn’t take drink order for over 20 mins even though wasn’t overly busy. My friend and I both had some medical issues so had a cane and crutches between us and hostess sat us at the farthest table from the door even when asked if something closer walking through, we did have a reservation. Won’t take that out on restaurant as a whole, general manager was very nice when we mentioned after to make sure and reiterate to hostess.
Dinner with long standing reservation. Arrived on time. 4 well dressed well groomed men. Were brought to back of restaurant by kitchen passed empty tables. Asked if we could have another table. Told they were all reserved. I was host this was my return to entertain guests. Seated. ordered cocktails, wine. Appetizers and entrees. Veal Milanese tasteless. Check was incorrect. Had to have corrected. Dinner for 4 $400- and was embarrassed by treatment and by tasteless food. So much for Marriott trying to be cool. And Opening pretty restaurant. And $7 Valet per car in transitional neighborhood. They should be happy guests would venture there. Poor experience!
I’ve been there several times since it opened and have always enjoyed the food and service. Last Saturday we were disappointed that our service was so haphazard and we had to get others to deliver drinks, sides, etc. our food was lukewarm and not done like in past visits. Maybe too busy on weekends to deliver same quality.
This was our third visit and most likely our last the service was that BAD !
Our party of 6 enjoyed an evening at this relatively new restaurant in the downtown Los Olas fringe. But there are better places to go for the money and unfortunately for the food. The food was average. Grilled lambchops greasy and of poor texture; steaks flavorless and not grilled properly despite medium rare. Wine recommendation poor choice--ordinary red that didn't pair well. The waitstaff did the best job seeing to our cocktails, serving and answering questions. But, the kitchen seems to need a chef who can check food before it leaves the kitchen! Are the cooks "sous viding" the chops and then grilling? If so, they need a hotter grill or practice. All on all weocsl diners will leave this hotel restaurant to the unsuspecting tourists and business lunch crowd. Skip it.
Thought it was over priced. Ordered the octopus as an appetizer. That was good. But had the salmon which was $32.00 for a very small piece. The wine was also over priced. Real noisy. Heard ambulances going by a few times and the sound of traffic. My friend had the Mahi sandwich which was good but also overpriced. Don't plan on heading over there again any time soon.
The ambiance was very nice and the staff was very knowledgeable. More gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options would be nice to see.
This is our first time to this restaurant but a second time to the hotel having been upstairs to the rooftop bar. This is definitely an upscale nice restaurant. The drinks are rather small and some are pricey. With prices for food entrées between $24 and $60, I thought it was completely inappropriate to charge me a dollar for the two blue cheese olives that I got in my martini. Overall the food was good but not fabulous. It was quite slow that Saturday night so service was very good.
The pizza was so gross it had chunks of flour falling off the bottom. The chop salad was also bad and I could not tell if there was no dressing on it or just a squeeze of lemon but I would expect a better salad from a nice place like this.
Great SERVICE. Food was excellent but expensive when I compare it with restaurants that are similar. I like that restaurant allows corkage service for a fee. Terrace outside gets a lot of noise from street
