The Tavern at the Inn - The Inn at Warm Springs
Excellent food and service
Outstanding food and service
This restaurant has a charming atmosphere and a great variety on the menu for food and drinks. Our service was very professional and personal. It is a great addition to the area, with a nice bar, great front porch and outdoor area too.
good food, service pretty hazard, sat at inside table that is very different from last time when we sat in the sunroom
last visit was amazing, this one was Ok
ill try it again next time to see which way things are leaning, great or just Ok?
Very attentive. We celebrated our 20th anniversary and they had fresh flowers on our table with a card and provided champagne on the house for a congratulatory toast. Food was delicious.
Yummy brunch! Well worth the drive!
Glad we chose to eat here. The goulash and lamb chops were fantastic. The schnitzel was okay. The bakery was great in the inn!!
Great good and conversation.
The food wasn't horrible but it didn't merit the five star reviews on OpenTable by any means. Three thin, but good, "lollipop” lamb chops were served as a main course; typically the size of an appetizer. The Caesar salad appetizer, in contrast, was huge and enough for two. Apple strudel made with many layers of pastry should be crisp but was reheated in a microwave oven, essentially ruining the quality, and rendering it inedible. The Mushroom pasta main course was very oily and the green side salad was dressed with something sweet and watery.
Service overall was very good.
My husband just loved the goulash, which is rare for him. I had the salmon, which was fine, but nothing special. Our friends had a steak and the goulash, which she also loved. Service was very good and it was not loud and easy to converse with our friends. We had the chocolate cake; strawberry ice cream and sorbet, all of which were great!
My friends and I had come together for a girls weekend after almost 2 years. We had the shrimp both cooked perfectly and with a creamy texture. I had the surf & turf and the beef was cooked perfectly as was the asparagus and shrimp. Good portions with perfectly balanced flavors! Such a great find!!
Diamond in the rough. Elegant restaurant tucked in the mountains in Bath County VA. Food was gourmet and the ambiance was very nice. Wine prices were reasonable but I would like to see some higher quality wines but we enjoyed what we had. Great restaurant!!!
Food was fantastic. Service was great! It's a nice alternative to the restaurants at the Homestead - but just as pricey. It's pretty casual - so don't expect a "dressed up" venue. Definitely call ahead to confirm that they have your Open Table reservation. We called - and it took a bit of convincing on the phone to make them check. At first they said they didn't get it and that they were BOOKED SOLID for the night. Then, magically, she said "oh, there it is, it just showed up (we did our OT booking four days prior). Funny thing is, there were LOTS of open tables the entire time we were there - so much for BOOKED SOLID.
My wife and I had a wonderful July 4th dinner. Everything was perfect. We will be back again.
What a gem! We discovered the Tavern during a stay at the Homestead, and must say it was better than any meal we had at the resort for about one third the price! The food is Czeck influenced. We ordered the Sopsky salad, with feta, fresh local cukes and tomatoes and a delicious homemade vinaigrette. It was so refreshing and came with wonderful crusty caraway bread. My husband loved his goulash and I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. Deserts were also homemade, including a multi-layered chocolate torte and various sorbets and gelatos. We would have returned on Tuesday night if only they had been open. Ambiance is simple and low key. There are no pretenses here, just well executed, delicious food at a great price. Don't miss this spot!
Stayed at the Omni but wanted to eat somewhere else one night. Found this cute place about 5 miles away. We were blown away by how delicious the food was. Good portions, friendly service and again, scrumptious!!! I would definitely recommend this gem
Such a lovely environment with wonderful food. Decorated with historic items. One of my top places to go in Warm/Hot springs.
Very nice restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices. I will come again.
Really enjoyed this place. It is adorable, the staff were all very nice and efficient, and we had an excellent dinner. All four of us loved what we got. I highly recommend stopping here to eat if you get the opportunity. We did not stay at the Inn, but I would absolutely check that out the next time I am in town.
Lovely location. Food was quite good. I had chicken schnitzel which I would highly recommend - chicken was juicy and tender with a delicious coating. Husband had the maple pork which he enjoyed. Salads were quite large, fresh and crisp. The mashed potatoes which came with the entree were some of the best I've ever had. Wine / drink list was limited and too pricey for what they offered. Clearly this is a new business which is working hard to find its legs. The dining room is painted a dark, dark gray/green which is honestly is dismal. They should at least put candles on the tables to add a touch of light to the room. Even adjusting the shutters would help soften the room. They'll get it together. Definitely recommend and will return.
The brunch menu is outstanding and the food and service superb!
The Tavern at the Inn is a great little place to get some good food, and it is a local spot too! We love the wood floors and ambience of the old building, but it is still very quaint and clean. The food is great and we love that the menu is short- good selection and properly cooked. We left already planning a trip back to get the fried mushrooms (the aoli is amazing!) and try other things. Hope it stays this good, as this is our new date place :)
We are frequent visitors to Warm Springs, so have been to the Tavern several times. I think the food is better than ever. I enjoyed the Mushroom Fettuccine, because it was very mushroomy, not creamy like an Alfredo. We also enjoyed the Grilled Cesar with chicken.
The wine is fine, well priced.
A welcome addition to the dining scene in Warm Springs--well done!
If you have a chance do not miss this awesome restaurant!!
Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, lovely art to peruse and great comfort food! So glad there’s a good alternative for dinner and brunch at reasonable prices with great food!
Love this great dining option in Bath County!!
Food was excellent and staff friendly and efficient. Disappointing they did not have chocolate mousse that evening which is on their regular menu.
Really love this place and Jarek & Travis are the best!
The evening was lovely. First time to the Tavern. Will be back
As always...great food and a fun atmosphere. We usually choose to eat in the bar area as the owner/s are usually there and they are fun to be around.
We got there at 7:00 and the place was busy. It took about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, but when they did they apologized. After that small hiccup, we enjoyed ourselves very much. The bread was homemade and delicious! My beet carpaccio salad was fresh and completely delicious. Steak, pasta, soup, burger and schnitzel were very good. We were still talking about it the next day. Can't wait to return! All the positive reviews are true. It's a farm to table delight!
What a great discovery! If you are at the Homestead, go to this restaurant in addition to the resort. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and the service and meals were outstanding. Portions are large. Highly recommend the scallops with risotto, grilled Caesar salad, steak frites and burger. House made sauces were off the charts! Our family cannot wait to return.
The ambience was great. The food was spectacular with great service provided by the staff.
The food was absolutely delicious at incredible prices! I absolutely recommend you save some room for their desserts. We tried 3 different ones and all were just incredible!
Since it opened in April this has become everyone's favorite restaurant. The Czech and Eastern European influenced food is great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The Inn is an historic site, the former courthouse of Bath County. The bar is cozy and a terrific meeting place for the locals.
What a gorgeous environment and such amazing food! We loved everything!
We stay in Hot Springs several times a year and were pretty excited to have a new option for dinner. The prices were so much more reasonable than many of the other venues in town and we really enjoyed our meal. The service was friendly and the place is rather charming. We will definitely return next time we are in town.
Great addition to the Hot Springs area and looking forward to future visits with my guests. Enjoyed the scallop appetizer as well as the potato cakes with smoked salmon. My date had the the lamb chops with mushroom risotto and it was absolutely perfect, even though the risotto is the same as the scallop appetizer, the lamb takes full attention. I had the duck and I won't be ordering it on my next visit. It was good, cooked fine, just lacked any memorable quality. I hope the service improves with time. We had the same server for 3/4 of the meal and she just disappeared. The remainder of the experience was taken care of by two other servers, which was friendly and courteous, I was just a little confused. Overall, our meal was quite enjoyable and I will certainly return.
Loved my first experience there. The pumpkin cheesecake was outstanding!
We had an exceptional meal, appropriate portions, outstanding flavors, and all for a reasonable price. We were so pleasantly surprised that we went there two nights in a row to try different dishes.
