   This was our third time dining at the Tasting Kitchen, and it never disappoints. They are always able to account for dietary needs and restrictions, and the tasting menu always offers new features while including favorites (the balsamic lentils are amazing). Great place for a special occasion, date night or no occasion at all.

   I've been looking forward to trying Tasting Kitchen for quite some time - I was not disappointed. Everything was prepared exquisitely. Scallops were to die for.

   I’ve had fantastic meals at the tasting kitchen. We brought a group of friends here (table of 6) after not going for a while with the expectation of a good meal. About 45 minutes go by and we finally get our drinks and the opportunity to order dinner (we’re starving). We ordered the bread and butter (delicious) and decided to do the chef’s dinner which is the chefs choice of 5 courses but you give the server things you don’t like ($140 pp). We told him we don’t want any oysters. First course comes out and it’s the crudo and… oysters. We let it slide. Mussels- good sauce Lobster pasta- not great Bolognese- also not great Steak and scallops- steak was very chewy Dessert- I eat almost any dessert and was shocked three could be so average We had to ask 3 times for the table to be cleared before the next course. One of us ordered chefs choice of red wine and received white wine. We would have gotten more food if we just ordered per dish and now know we should have chosen our own dishes. I left a 4 hour and $1500 dinner hungry. We were all very disappointed with the food quality as well as the service. We’re sad this is no longer the tasting kitchen we loved.

   The waiter was fine, but we ordered some bread and he told us that there was no bread. Apparently the bread order wasn’t placed in the morning? At least that’s what he said. He did say they had some bread left over from yesterday (??). I think for a restaurant of this caliber, this was a little strange. Then we ordered a prosciutto appetizer. What was served was six slices of prosciutto. That’s it. We didn’t eat it. Generally there is something that goes along with prosciutto like a fruit, bread or something. To have it served like this was underwhelming. The entrees were very good. Flat Iron, and two pastas. No complaints at all with the entrees. However, we won’t be going back. The waiter did take the prosciutto off the check, but it seemed like he knew it was a subpar dish to serve, and they were trying to pass it off. I also think they could have comped us something as a good gesture, but they didn’t. Very disappointed. It almost felt as if because the restaurant is in a such a great location (Abbot Kinney), the actual culinary experience can slide a bit.

   Took about 15 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated. Took another 15 minutes to just get a soda. Service was extremely slow and poor. Our waiter was very kind, but doesn’t excuse the ridiculously slow service. Food was not anywhere near the quality it used to be- overall very disappointing and can’t imagine coming back anytime soon.

   Food and service were amazing! The ambiance was ok, seating wasn’t great and not what I was expecting based on reviews. Overall a really great meal, just don’t plan to go here for a romantic date night out!

    We opted for the five-course, off menu tasting menu and so happy we went with that decision. For one, I think we have more than five courses, and more importantly, my wife and each got a different course and both portions were plenty to share, so it was much more like a 15 course dinner. The food was excellent, in bath presentation and taste/special. There was a season twist also, which made it more fun as we are headed into winter (ha, SoCal winter), so that added even more variety to the menu. Can't wait to go back again. This is now my go to tasting menu since Chef Dave's Dialogue has closed.

    We had a fantasist meal but were shooed out! Literally shooed. Saying we overstayed our two hour limit. Which it was only 15 mins after. We ordered two bottles of wine and spent $400 for two people. We wanted to enjoy the meal and not feel rushed. It was shocking.

    Craft cocktail had to be re-made, bread arrived cold, salad was not cut into bite sized pieces, and pasta was very good. Overall the quality has lowered a bit. This use to be one of my fav local restaurants!

    Had the TK4 tasting menu, and though quality of food was generally good, ended up not being the choices we would have made. In the past, food has been very good, but this time, not much was spectacular, and we wouldn't choose the tasting menu again. Wine is very overpriced.

    Haven't been to Tasting Kitchen in a while, but was a bit disappointed with the experience. The food was solid, but really should be given the current pricing. The server was a dud - felt he was repeatedly trying to upsell, didn't trust his recommendations and found him lacking in attentiveness. Hopefully this was just an anomaly.

    What a wonderful surprise Dining at TTK. We had the Chef’s Menu and we were treated to a gastronomic feast. The combination of presentation, flavors and texture was more that our senses could handle. The service was superb and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend TTK.

    NOT WORTH IT. Went for DineLA. The best thing they had going was the bread! The food was incredibly over salted - every single dish. The skirt steak and the mussels were OK, but definitely not worth the price, nor were the TWENTY DOLLAR WATERS we drank. Is this why they're over salting the food? So you keep ordering water that you don't even realize you're paying for? My husband and I were both pretty shocked, as this place typically has decent reviews, but when we spoke with some other people who had also been, they all agreed, it was way over-priced and the food itself is not good at all.

    We went for our anniversary as we have had great meals here in the past. We could only get reservations for 5:15 for outside and I even called to see if there was anything later. When we got there, all the tables were empty up until we left at 6:45. The service was scattered with 3 or 4 different people taking our order and answering our questions, possibly because it was so early. I think the reservation process should be examined. Not as nice an experience as ive had in the past. The food was good but not exceptional as I remembered it.

    I had such expectations for the Tasting Kitchen that I was probably bound to be disappointed. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere chic convivial. The mussels were delicious and the tuna tartare very fresh, the ravioli was perfectly cooked. But the radicchio, pear and pistachio salad was subpar : a heap of radicchio and almost nothing else. Looked ridiculous and tasted bland. So, a bittersweet experience - but I will give it another try.

    What happened, Tasting Kitchen? You used to be perfection. Service was well-intentioned but lacking in the spot-on execution that I’m used to. Pretty much every dish was only good when it used to be excellent. It wasn’t busy at all for a Saturday lunch. We had the Gnocco Fritto, but the gnocco wasn’t quite right and might’ve been over-cooked. The radicchio salad was fine but the chopped pears wasn’t proportioned quite right. The bucatini was served warm, not hot out of the kitchen. The frittata was uneventful. I know you’re better than this.

    Food was ok, good but not amazing. Cocktails were soooo good. Food took a very long time in between each dish but may have been not the typical experience because the server was apologetic about it. I would probably give it one more try, but I’ve eaten at better places on the west side.
