The food -- Japanese corn, Osaka style gyoza (crisp & lighter than the basic dumpling), salmon poke, cold ramen, & sake. This was a heavenly meal. Friday night dinner was perfect.
We had a really nice conversation with the Owner and his daughter.
We really enjoyed our meal.🙂
Very relaxing, great service, awesome food and drink!
Best Japanese food since being in Kyoto. The sake selection was excellent. The tea selection was best ever. Great staff too!
Excellent food and service!
The team at Taste of Tea do a great job every time. Their specials are delicious additions to an already stellar menu. The sake list is fantastic and the staff is very knowledgeable. About their food prep and sake offerings.
Thank you again for another memorable evening.
A gem in the crown that is Healdsburg.
Tucked on the less traveled street just behind the busy square.
The food and livery of taste of tea is always a step into the realm that is Japanese cuisine. Their teas are a must have as they offer a variety that would tantalize any tea Connoisseur. The vegan option is what got us to go and has had us coming back for 4 straight years. Thank you to the team and chef! A delight as always.
Best ramen ever! Fantastic tea selection and very knowledgeable staff.
Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. Our new favorite location!!
Taste of Tea is consistently delicious from appetizers (salmon poke & corn), salads with it's very special dressing, chicken shoyu ramen & chirashi, plus sake!!! Overall excellent
Impeccable service. Food was good- even better once we added the homemade carrot blend sauce. Fantastic Japanese beer selection.
Chefs special ramen was bland in my opinion.
Sashimi In Chirasu was fresh and delicious!
We had to come see Chef Nez and Tai. It’s been a while because of the Pandemic. Food is still good and service is excellent as usual.
The favors were outstanding in all the dishes we had. The handmade gyoza are spectacular. The sushi bowel was great and had lots of variety. The garden salad was so crisp and fresh with a wonderful dressing. Definitely would recommend this gem of a restaurant.
We thought the food and ambience at Taste of Tea was extraordinary. Delicious. That being said, it saddens me to say that the service could have been better. Three of our 4 entrees were brought out but we had to wait a long time for my daughter's entree. She's 10 and had to sit there while we either ate or let our food get cold. My husband ended up giving her his entree. I do believe the restaurant felt bad about this. The chef - a lovely man - came out twice to talk to us about general stuff (where we were from, etc) but never offered any apology for the service. All of this being said, we would go back again to give them a second chance as they were very nice people overall and the food was good.
Wonderful. Can’t wait to tell everyone about it. Will be back.
Taste of Tea is medicinal! So clean, delicious and feels so good!
The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food is delicious and comforting. The tea and sake list is amazing.
The food was good, not a lot of protein in my dish, but it was cooked beautifully and the broth was excellent. We had a wonderful server who was not afraid to recommend dishes or saki, and that was very helpful. All of the waitstaff was very attentive. I would definitely recommend The Taste of Tea restaurant.
Good japonese food with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
I think we just got unlucky with the service and they sort of forgot us. Other tables seem to get better service. The food was good, but not great. It was disappointing. I would not go back.
This is the first time since pandemic restrictions that we have dined inside. It was a treat. The space has been refigured and it is beautiful. The food, gyoza, cold noodle ramen and chirashi were spot-on delicious.
The sobi noodles are wonderful - paired with a hibiscus/lemon cold tea!
Excellent food, all fresh ingredients and a great sake and tea list. We will be back.
excellent food as always. love the new outdoor space. comfortable, quiet, and beautiful.
We had a lovely time and the food was wonderful.
Lovely spot for a delicious, light, healthy & satisfying dinner. We started with Gyoza’s and both were perfectly cooked & fresh. We both ordered the Bento Box which was perfect. Let me also tell you that we started with a “mango Tango” cocktail which was incredibly delicious!!
Can’t wait to go back there!
We ate indoors for a change, and enjoyed the ambiance. Limited menu, but food is excellent. Huge sake menu and very knowledgeable server.
Amazing food and great service. Definitely will be back.
Delicious Food, Friendly Staff and Great Atmosphere.
I have been going to Taste of Tea since they opened. They, the owners and servers are kind and gentle and extremely well informed. We are so lucky to have them in healdsburg. They work constantly to improve everything they touch. We are lucky enough to go all the time. Don’t miss out❤️
Fresh authentic food
We ate here yesterday and we absolutely loved it. The tea menu is really good. We had three of the teas they offered and they were really lovely. The food was great too. We sat outside as we had our little dog with us but I was able to see the inside was really cute. The service was great. Food maybe a tad overpriced but we really enjoyed what we ate.
Great service, generous portions, delicious food. Salad was farm fresh produce, dressing delicious. Love the sake cocktails although mine wasn't as cold as I might've preferred. I would say the only room for improvement would be more comfortable seating would be nice. But that, in a way, is part of its charm.
Wonderful meal, experience and discovery for us. We enjoyed a change from usual wine country meals. Ramen and obento and a refreshing matcha tea hit the spot after an afternoon of wine tasting! We’ve already shared with friends and I look forward to returning to try afternoon teas! Domo arigato gozaimashita for the warm service and wonderful dining experience!
This restaurant is the best non-sushi Japanese restaurant in North Bay. The food is authentic. The teas, beer, and sake are fabulous. I love coming here. We bring our friends when they come up to visit us.
The servers are always friendly and efficient. I have never had an experience with an unhappy server. They are always upbeat and helpful.
We love it.
Fun restaurant. The service was great - the whole staff helps out. We loved the dishes we had and the flight of sake was fun to try. We would defiantly come back when in the area.
Food was good but not hot. I ordered a ramen dish with great flavor but was served cold-it was supposed to be hot. I will go back but for lunch. We brought a bottle of wine as they only serve beer and saki. Food is good and has good flavor but we found our dishes served cool not hot
Small, casual, delightfully old-fashioned, home-style Japanese cooking. I grew up with this kind of food and was absolutely thrilled to find it again. The sugar level here is about half or less of what is used at virtually all other Japanese restaurants in the U.S. We tasted much of the menu, and tried two different teas with our meal. It was amazing how differently each tea reacted with the food. Such a pleasure to have tea made and served properly, too! NOTE that this restaurant closes early, so don't try to come in any later than 7:30p - the kitchen shuts down although diners can stay around and leisurely finish their dinner. We loved Taste of Tea and will be back!
