   This is a true gem of a restaurant and we really got lucky getting a table at this small, elegant dining room in Stathfeffer. Booking is a must, and do it through Open Table as this is a hotel as well and the phones are very busy. Hey ready for a huge treat! Thank best wild mushroom soup I have ever had! My husband says the pavlova was the best ever! Thank you!

   Can not fault the food! Linguini was stunning! missing some great New Zealand or Australian wines. Fantastic staff. Priced quite high. Highly recommend.

   Wir haben kurzfristig reserviert. Obwohl der Chef nicht da war, wurden wir so herzlich begrüßt und bedient. Das Essen war Mega lecker. Sehr leckeres Lamm und Suppe als auch Dessert zu empfehlen. Alles 5 Sterne wert

   Must have if you are staying at the hôtel. Good service, Quality of the product is top and the prices are reasonable. The fact that the chef is coming at the table is very nice 👌

   Sadly the restaurant was closed when we arrived. Despite booking a day in advance, we received no communication from the Tartan Table. After finding the restaurant closed, I checked the website - no indication of any closure - then checked Facebook where there was a post saying they were closed. I accept that things can happen unexpectedly, but it is the duty of a business to deal fairly with their customers, even in tricky circumstances. A quick check for any bookings is not hard, and making the restaurant unavailable for bookings should not take long. If you’ve the time to post on Facebook, you’ve the time to manage your bookings.
