Wonderful food setting and services. Delicious pork chop and elderflower trifle, best we’ve ever had. Chicken butter and bread to die for. Great flavours, great experience.

Warm friendly welcome, professional but personable. Relaxed professional vibe, beautiful ambience. Staff knowledge and attentiveness was superb. Upbeat and warm. Prompt with recommendations and also table attentiveness for drink replenishment etc. All round great dining experience, great food! Thank you

Lovely place inside and out. Service friendly and professional although information regarding the days specials came quite late after being sat for a while. Menu read well with a nice mix of dishes and techniques on show. Classic oysters- nice fresh plump oysters Doughnuts- good soft texture little under seasoned Hash brown- over fried under seasoned Stonebass- beautiful to look at and nicely served with waitress dressing at the table, portion was very small though and flavour of dressing was a little underwhelming, nice fresh taste but little evidence it contained chilli Pork chop- nice chop well cooked with nice flavour and garnishes complemented, smoked flavour was lacking Burger- nice burger nothing out of the ordinary Cod- cooked well all round but all elements were under seasoned, much improved when i asked for some salt Chips and tenderstem were decent Trifle- good trifle the meadowsweet worked well

It’s a fantastic gastro pub with great ambience. The food and presentation was outstanding, staff are lovely and attentive, we couldn’t wish for anything better!

Pork was beautiful, apple sauce was amazing and the cheese donuts were stunning... Unfortunately, I think Paul Ainsworth has pipped you with the trifle though... Still beautiful but I prefer the trifle at The Mariners... Sorry Adam and Andi 😔
