Welcome to The Tarratine. We focus on providing an elegant yet approachable experience for our community. Created with skill and passion, the menu features an exciting array of seafood, streak, and signature items from our Executive Chef and his culinary team. This is within our historic gentlemen's social club, built-in 1907. Our spacious venue allows for individual experiences in various spaces, including our rooftop terrace. The Tarratine provides a variety of spirits, cocktails, local brews on tap, and an approachable wine list.

Parties of 12 - 18 guests will be offered a reduced restaurant menu.
Parties with 19+ guests, please call us at 207-992-4090, and someone will love to talk to you about your special night.
We allow you to bring in a cake from state-licensed bakeries; a $5 per person cutting fee will be added to the final bill.

Due to the historic nature of the building, our upper levels are not handicap accessible.

Park Street is a one way street that has parking on both sides, there is often parking available in front of the building. We have private parking lot at the corner of Penobscot and Park with a sign at the entrance. City Hall allows us to use their parking after hours on Harlow Street and Center Street, it is a short walk up the hill.

Public Bus stops up the street from the Restaurant.

The Tarratine offers a game room for our dinner guests which includes billiards, pinball, table tennis, shuffle board, foosball, and skittle ball. We also offer cribbage boards and playing cards. Our roof top deck is a great place to meet before or after dinner to enjoy the views of Bangor.

Great food and service. We ate at the bar. The seats there were very comfortable. I had the halibut, my wife had the salmon, both were really tasty and not too big which meant we had room for desert. The deserts we had were chocolate torte and cheesecake, both were delicious. If we are ever in Bangor again we will definitely eat here again.

Always a wonderful place to Celebrate special occasions! Food and drinks were exceptional! The friendly caring atmosphere is so relaxing! Free Valet parking with Zachary is perfect! Love the Tarratine!

We were in town for a meeting and wanted to stay over night at the inn. We also booked for dinner at the restaurant. I was gobsmacked to see so many gluten-free options on the menu, and overjoyed to learn they serve gluten-free rolls upon request (better to let them know ahead of time you are gluten-free so they have them prepared). The inn, the restaurant, the hosts, and all of the staff were genuinely kind. We have decided to go stay there at least once a year now whether we have an event to attend or not. Why not? They know how to treat you right!

Great cocktails. Good wine. Excellent food and service. Very welcoming and friendly. Staff shared their knowledge of the restaurant’s history. A beautiful setting!

What a gem, ambiance was great. The food and service was great. This is our new favorite place in Bangor. We ate at Timber the night before which was just ok.

Great Mother’s Day dinner place. The food was excellent. For those with food allergies, they note gluten, vegan and dairy free food. Great selection of dishes.

We had a beautiful dinner celebrating my sons graduation. This gorgeous Inn is elegant and cozy, with dining areas scattered throughout the building. The service, from the wonderful valet Zach, to our attentive server Stephanie, were outstanding. The food was also fantastic. I wished they had a nicer, green salad with a non-sweet vinaigrette,, rather than all Caesars, but the pork loin entree was magnificent. Everyone’s entrees - filet, scallops, and haddock were amazing. Deserts was also terrific. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Great service! The food and drinks were amazing! I do wish two things however, I had indicated with the reservation that it was a birthday and I hoped it would have been recognized, and secondly the spring fruit cobbler needed ice cream to go with it to off set the acidity in the berries. Everything else, I had zero opinions on.
