   took my brother and his wife out to dinner here on Tuesday last and wee all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Choices on the menu were wide and varied. The service was perfect and we had a very enjoyable evening. Only criticism I would make is that the noise level , and it was not so busy, does make it difficult for us oldies to hear all the conversation at our table comfortably.

   I thought The Tannin Level was exceptional. We received a warm welcome and were seated quickly. The food, service, ambience, everything about the place is just fantastic. You can see why the restaurant has been there since '85, its a gem. I would recommend a visit here if you are looking for a place to enjoy lunch or dinner, I couldn't fault anything, not one thing.

   Varied and interesting menu with lots of locally sourced ingredients - the chef really cares about what they are cooking! Very attentive service - this restaurant is an absolute banker and we will definitely be visiting again.

   We are regular visitors to this lovely restaurant. It’s got a lovely ambience for couples or groups. The staff are exceptional and the food is beautifully presented and tasty. We ate from the midweek menu which had good choices and we both really enjoyed the haddock fish pie and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for !!! We will be back !!

   Superb lamb main course and vegetarian risotto- the highlight was the delicious rhubarb dessert- fabulous

   Great fish and chips we always like them but other things are also very tasty. Lovely bistro traditional restaurant. Service very good. Good lunch and early evening deals.

   Lovely restaurant ,great service ,the staff were very friendly . We had Sunday lunch which was amazing couldn’t fault anything .Would definitely recommend can’t wait to come back . Thank you
