The Swire Inn
The food was delicious and our waitress, Autumn was fantastic. Josh made an amazing Old Fashioned that was worthy of a second. Will definitely be back.
This is our favorite lunch spot. The service and food are outstanding and the patio dining area is perfect.
Absolutely stunning inside & out. The food & drinks were top notch! Great for a date night!
Chicken and waffles were outstanding. Nice beer selection. Service was somewhat slow.
I had heard many things about your cauliflower crust flatbread. I wanted to try it for myself. I was not impressed. I got the barbecue chicken flatbread with caramelized onions. It had very few ingredients and was basically tasteless.
Had a great time. Enjoyed dinner with my daughter while she done her homework. Waiter was very nice and intentive. Overall a fantastic experience. Really enjoyed our dinner. We will definitely be back.
Our party of 4 had the patio to ourselves. It was a beautiful day, with delicious food and good friends.
We will be back soon.
Lunch with my wife, sat outside on the patio, nice area, relaxing lunch, good food, good service ( OLIVIA was awesome)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😋
It was our first time there and the food, service, and cocktails were amazing. We will definitely be back.
Great visit , waitress was attentive , food was good
We ate outstand, service was great. Food came out maybe a bit too fast, but that was fine. Brussel sprout appetizer was outstanding!
Beautiful outdoor setting on patio, complete with sunset and acoustic music. Seeing old friends and making new ones is a delight usually reserved for vacations. Very clean, tables well spaced. Servers masked and ready to take care of your drink and culinary needs. Great memories were made that night!!
One of our favorite restaurants. We enjoy the patio seating. Delicious food and great service!
Waitress was great.
The chicken and waffles was amazing.
Our first time but won’t be our last time. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere!
First visit but definitely not the last. Excellent service and a great place. Full of history.
Food was very good, drinks were well made and a comfortable atmosphere. I recommend it for drinks, dinner or just socializing.
The crispy chicken sandwich was very tasty. The pineapple cocktail tasted great. The outside was nice with plenty of shade. The service was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
OMG the Swire Inn is the best around!! I had the pot roast that melted in my mouth and also the deviled eggs. I highly recommend. Also, I hear Chuck Evans plays there. Could you tell me when he’s scheduled again?? Keep up the great service and food quality!
We had a wonderful experience this evening. Service was impeccable and the food spectacular with respectable prices. Will definitely be back and highly recomend
Outdoor seating. Very good overall
it is in the middle of Middletown in a Historical Building in an area my wife used to frequent years ago, nice place, moderate, good Pot roast and stuff, full size bar and a nice patio, it is not fancy , but very comfortable , very nice, we will be back
We love the Swire Inn! Excellent food at a great value.
Great weather for dining outdoors. We had an excellent waitress and food was great. We had bread pudding and apple pie for dessert which was outstanding. Also really enjoyed the entertainment Rick & Ashley Acoustic!
Great waitress and good food
First time and loved it!!! Would definitely go back again!!
Excellent menu and quality, value. Brie and Josh provided excellent, efficient service and personalized attention. The green beer was...well...GREEN! John greets customers as friends. THE SWIRE never disappoints!
The food was really good, and there were plenty of vegetarian options! My husband said that the pot roast was the best he’s ever had! Our server was awesome and talked to us about how much the areas has grown and continues growing. We will definitely be back!
Food was outstanding. Our waiter seemed distracted for quite a while but other than that we will definitely return. Great find in Middletown!
Fantastic server! Very attentive to anything we needed. The food was excellent. Atmosphere is nice too. We sat at a high top table in the pub area and it was relaxing. I ordered the special which was crab cakes and asparagus. It was perfect and very fully. My husband had the fish and chips. Delicious! We will definitely go again. We are anxious to visit when the weather is nice to try out the patio.
Visited the Inn yesterday. The value of the food was good. We had deviled egg and Brie cheese for appetizers. They were nothing out of the ordinary. They were okay. Our appetizers were delivered to the table with our salads. I found that to be odd. I would have preferred one at a time. The ambiance was, we were in the front room which was very cold. We had to wear our jackets to finish our meals. Our dinner was delivered to the table before we even finished our appetizers and salad. Our dinners were fish and chips and pot roast. These were nothing our of the ordinary. So we felt the experience was mediocre.
The Swire Inn is quaint and adorable. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and quick service. All the food was good and prepared as requested. Our only complaint was the quality of the New York strip. We both ordered the steak special, and both steaks were pretty tough and grisly. The shrimp, risotto and asparagus were all delicious, though. Will probably try a fish dish on our next visit.
They were really busy with it being Valentines Day so we we’re seated upstairs which I thought was even better because it doesn’t seem to be as loud up stairs but we could still hear the music.
This was the 5th time going there, we always enjoy it, total my friends at work about it. Mark
Despite a large crowd our service and food were perfect! Thanks Logan and Josh❣️
Felt bad for the server. Restaurant took way to many reservations and completely overbooked themselves. Sat for 20 mins before anyone took our drink order, got food an hour later. Josh, not sure if he was a manager, tried to explain why the service was so poor and made the comment 6:30 was not a good time for a reservation. Really?? Then why did the restaurant you work at confirmed three weeks ago ! What a very inexperience statement to say. He then kept saying how busy they were and I calmly said “that’s not my problem”. . Josh needs to go thru training and know when to just apologize and move on. Not sure I’ll be back.
I knew it would be very busy as there was a show at The Sorg that night. Server was very friendly but seemed extremely overwhelmed and flustered. I was covering the bill for my party of 6 and stopped him by the restrooms to make sure I received the bill...he said no problem. I went to the restroom and came back and the bill had been left with the table. I was able to fight for it and pay, but it hadn’t been but 5 minutes. He must’ve easily forgotten just like that!
The Swire Inn has a varied menu, with something for everyone. Anything we've ordered there has been delicious, and nicely plated. We like the maple bourbon glazed salmon, shepherd's pie, prime rib, and the pot roast is to die for! Cocktails are good, and a nice beer selection. Service is always good, too. I recommend making reservations, especially on the weekend.
Had a wonderful time!
Nice building great service good drinks good meal not many choices on the menu and tough to find parking lot behind the building
The place was OK...nothing special! I have had better clam chowder at work in the cafeteria. Cooper's Hawk has much better Brussel sprouts also.
