The Swire Inn

I made reservations for my husband, daughter, brother and myself. We were seated promptly after our arrival. We’ve eaten here before, but had never been seated in the upstairs portion. This time we were lucky enough to get the small private room above the porch with a fantastic view of the light snow falling on Main Street and the Sorg Opera House! Great food in a warm and inviting tavern that is part of Middletown’s Renaissance. Our server, Taylor, did a great job checking on our needs as we lingered and caught up with family 🥰

The Swire Inn has to be one of my favorite restaurants! We love the atmosphere, food, and friendly service!

The Swire Inn is a quaint little pub that serves awesome food. We have eaten there twice, just in the past week. My compliments to the Chef for the home cooked food. We have recommended to friends and family that they need to check it out.

The Harry Potter theme was a big hit with our 9 boys Birthday party.

Love the historic nature and ambience of this building. We were there on a particularly busy night otherwise I suspect I would have rated the service five instead of four. Can’t wait to go back.

Nice cozy restaurant i Middletown, located directly across the street from the Sorg Opera house. The menu was very varied, with a chef's choice of the day, which happened to be a bacon wrapped meatloaf dinner. I did not order that, but wished that I had when I saw plates being served to other diners. I enjoyed the fish and chips dinner, while my friend had a cauliflower crust pizza. She needed to order a sour cream accompaniment, as it was a little dry. The tables were nicely arranged as to social distance from the other diners. The waitress was excellent! I willbe back!

The food was delicious and our waitress, Autumn was fantastic. Josh made an amazing Old Fashioned that was worthy of a second. Will definitely be back.

I had heard many things about your cauliflower crust flatbread. I wanted to try it for myself. I was not impressed. I got the barbecue chicken flatbread with caramelized onions. It had very few ingredients and was basically tasteless.

Had a great time. Enjoyed dinner with my daughter while she done her homework. Waiter was very nice and intentive. Overall a fantastic experience. Really enjoyed our dinner. We will definitely be back.

Our party of 4 had the patio to ourselves. It was a beautiful day,with delicious food and good friends.

Beautiful outdoor setting on patio, complete with sunset and acoustic music. Seeing old friends and making new ones is a delight usually reserved for vacations. Very clean, tables well spaced. Servers masked and ready to take care of your drink and culinary needs. Great memories were made that night!!

The crispy chicken sandwich was very tasty. The pineapple cocktail tasted great. The outside was nice with plenty of shade. The service was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

OMG the Swire Inn is the best around!! I had the pot roast that melted in my mouth and also the deviled eggs. I highly recommend. Also, I hear Chuck Evans plays there. Could you tell me when he’s scheduled again?? Keep up the great service and food quality!

Outdoor seating. Very good overall

it is in the middle of Middletown in a Historical Building in an area my wife used to frequent years ago, nice place, moderate, good Pot roast and stuff, full size bar and a nice patio, it is not fancy , but very comfortable , very nice, we will be back

Great weather for dining outdoors. We had an excellent waitress and food was great. We had bread pudding and apple pie for dessert which was outstanding. Also really enjoyed the entertainment Rick & Ashley Acoustic!
