They seemed to be out of a lot of food options. Have been there a few times and this is the first time this has happened.

Overall, we enjoyed the Swire Inn. We sat outside in the back so we could enjoy the live music. The food was very good... for the most part. Fresh... but some items were over seasoned (over salted fried pickles, overly sweet Brussels sprouts). While the staff were super friendly, the service was a bit chaotic, but fortunately it didn't sour our experience. We would come back in hopes that the service improves.

It was not a very good experience. Food was tepid and at least one order was incorrect. Our server, Erin, was pleasant but not timely. No utensils or napkins. Had to go get our drinks

The food was very good but waiting 1.5 hours isn’t acceptable. Also our table was squeezed between the bar and the wall and the hallway was the path to the restroom.

Second time eating here. Both have been great. We had dinner in "The Porch Room" and it was very nice. Quiet enough to carry on normal level conversation. Service and food was fantastic. Servers were very professional and friendly. So far we have had Fish & Chips, Pot Roast, Reuben, Shepard's Pie, and Salmon. The Onion rings are battered, NOT breaded, and really good. Deviled Eggs were Dill flavor this time, always good. We will be back.

Once we arrived we were seated right away. Restaurant was practically empty. The server informed us of everything they were out of.. ranging from wine.. appetizers.. main dishes. Our food then took a very long time to be delivered. Food was good but very disappointed in overall experience and wouldn’t recommend. I also sent a message to the restaurant via Facebook.. but didn’t get any kind of reply.

1st time dining here; at the recommendation of friend. The place was very busy as it was a show night at the Sorg. Our server did a great job, food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was very good. We tried the side salads, Shephard's Pie and the Bangers & Mashed. The noise level was a little high for the room we were in due to all solid surfaces (wood floor, hard walls, etc.) and could benefit from some cloth wall hangings or something to absorb some sound. We plan to return.

We dined on St Patrick's Day weekend. The kitchen was slow, but maybe because of the event. The waitress was excellent. Due to the event, it was very noisy. I have dined there before and will go back, but not on special events

Oh my!!! Dinner at The Swire Inn in Middletown OH is an absolute delight! I got the beef pot roast and John got fish and chips but ordered onion rings instead of fries. This food is the best pub-type food we've had since we visited England! The pot roast is tender and flavorful with baby carrots that are still crunchy. The mashed potatoes were originally real potatoes - they're lumpy and so good! I had to have a taste of John's onion rings because they looked soooo good, and wow! The onion almost melted in my mouth, it was so tender, and the breading was amazing! Sweetish, light and flakey - John said it tastes like tempura. The fish pieces were so huge, John had to break them in half to manage them by hand. And first was the appetizer! Bourbon pecan deviled eggs were tonight's special. Outstanding! Sweet and warm filling and so tasty! John just told me not to finish this post until we have dessert! We ordered the Fluffer Nutter bread pudding with a creme brulee top. No calories there!! LOL We'll definitely be back! Yum!!
