It took quite a while to get a server and when we finally got a server he was a bit rude and unprofessional.
Food was incredible and our waitress was the best... wish we got her name so we could give her a shout out because she flat out rocked!
had very good food esp the conch soup of the day which was great! place is waaaaay too loud for us. if they turn the volume down about 60% we'd go back. decibel level was high pain.
Very good food and selection here.
We had the sky juice drink, the tuna tacos , the short rib nachos and jerk flat bread I would probably pass on the tuna tacos since Tuna is good but only get a little meat and alot of shell.
Otherwise everything great.
The service is outstanding. The food was too good being a first time customer and for a birthday dinner celebration. They really made sure we was doing ok with everything that we had gotten .
We put in our kids order first (the waitress offered) and it came out within 15 minutes. About 5-10 minutes after putting in the kids’ order we put in ours. After waiting 45 minutes without any food and no status we asked another server what was going on and she went to find out. A few minutes later a third server came over and said, “There is a problem with the system and your order was never put in, what was it again?”. After telling her our food came out within 20 minutes and we ate - by this point both kids were tired and unhappy (as were we!) At no point was the word “sorry” ever uttered nor was there any offer to take anything off the $120 bill. I should have pushed but we were all tired. This was our first night in Hyatt Baha Mar and first time trying the Swimming Pig. I had thought we would probably eat there a lot this week but now we will not go back.
Service was pretty good at Swimming Pig in comparison to other restaurants at Baha Mar; challenge is a 15% gratuity is already included in all purchases so there is no incentive for good service. Food at Swimming Pig was good, both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast sandwich was good; pancakes were good; waffle was rubbery. Lunch/Dinner the lamb burger and fish 'n chips were very good. Biggest problem was they continued to run out of tapped beers yet never got new kegs; they kept saying kegs were being changed but never were for the 6 days we were there! Same situation with the Monkey Bar, none of their 6 beer taps worked the entire 6 days we were there; the standard answer was "they were being changed" but never were :(. Also for dinner the Swimming Pig played very loud club music; it's supposed to be a laid back sports bar, not a DJ and club. It was hard to even enjoy watching games with club music playing loudly. We gave up and left immediately after dinner as no beer and club music.
Terrible miscommunication between waitstaff and kitchen. Appetizers came out 20 minutes apart, and the entrees were delivered while we were still eating our appetizers. Servers walked around confused about which tables ordered which meals. Food was very good but the staff was poorly trained.
Third time is the charm. First visit was less not good but it was also in the first week of opening. Second time in December was better but the service was still slow and inattentive.
This time they got it right. Service was on point and the specialty cocktails were tasty. I had a sausage burger and honestly said wow on the first bite. They have come a long way since the golf balls they tried to pass as fritters on the first visit. The beef pie crust is almost a pastry. We could do without the cheese under the crust but overall really good.
Will make this a regular spot when in Nassau.
Great food and service
Casual pub atmosphere but with a full menu. Food was really good. It’s the staff that make it a great experience. Thanks!
I had a good time here.. Kevin our server was great! The food was okay as well.
Server was efficient. Service was almost too fast. Sometime you just want to enjoy a meal slowly. Overall, I cannot complain. We were in and out in 30 minutes.
Great food and fast service
Great sports bar/gastro pub. Chicken sandwich was a little dry and didn’t come with avocado as description mentioned (and was why I ordered it). Service was decent - it was our third restaurant in the Grand Hyatt to try and was a lower scale experience and we felt the service, while very friendly, matched that. I don’t know we would have noticed had our prior nights not been a little more upscale.
Out server Kevin was great. However the food was terrible. Everything came out cold and it wasn’t even busy we got nachos and bacon, two drinks and a kids meal and we paid $100. I expect food to be expensive at resorts but for the quality this was outrageous
Average at best. Somewhat poor service. Out of things. Food was some good, some okay.
We stayed at the Baha Mar. Reservations are notoriously hard to get at any restaurant so we had to wait a few days to get in for dinner. I never liked the name so my expectations were not high. I was wrong. The centerpiece is the bar which is beautiful & well-stocked. The service was wonderful that night. The only downside is that it is VERY expensive-like $50 for a NY strip which my daughter & I shared. TOTALLY worth it. Absolutely delicious and it came with a sauce, which it didn't need. I alternated bites with & w/out because both were so good. My other daughter had a quinoa salad w/ chicken. She said the chicken was outstanding. I tried a bit of the quinoa. It was tasty but a little dry. Wide selection of beers. I had a Manhattan (okay 2) and they were good. Not the best I'd ever had kind of good but very enjoyable.
We also went there for lunch one day & breakfast the morning we left. Service is...unpredictable. Some hostesses act like they lose part of their income for every customer who walks in. Others smile & make you feel welcome. Same with waiters/waitresses. I had a chicken club for lunch which, again, was outstanding. My daughter had a flatbread which was unusually good. I say unusually because it was basically pizza but the sauce was deep & rich & the cheese was an unusually tasty combination. My husband had an "omelet" which seemed like a good deal at $10 until you realized ANY addition, cheese, ham etc. was $2.50 apiece. My other daughter had waffles were were generous and really good.
Our last day there, I had a smoked salmon bagel . The salmon was fresh & delicious. The tomatoes were incredibly ripe unlike I find at my grocery. Capers, red onions, cream cheese & warm bagel were delightful but the nicest surprise was segments of lime (w/o the pith) scattered inside which gave it freshness. Loved it. The coffee was really good too.
Overall, the food was great but the service is sporadic & it is expensive but my favorite overall in the hotel.
They forgot to bring our food. We waited and watched everyone get their food. Guests entering the restaurant after we were seated and ordered received their food before us. I had to tell our server that we didn’t get our food. Nothing was done to compensate for the error.
Service was very slow. They made up for it in the end but it seems like they still haven’t worked out all issues since opening.
Took my husband there for dinner for his birthday. We both had the prime rib that was cooked to perfection. Our bartender Shane was amazing. Every drink he made was consistent. We will be back
Honored reservation. Pub like atmosphere. Music a little too loud. Food and service was good.
I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars for food.
Had a reservation and they took a long time to seat us and then took a long time to take our order. They wouldn't put in kids order until we ordered our dinner. We did make a modification and waitress said it was not a problem but after we waited 45 minutes for our order it still came our wrong. They corrected but at that point we didn't want to wait longer for food. Food pretty good but service very slow and we were not the only ones complaining.
Great food. Ate here 3 times on vacation. I just wish the prices were more reasonable.
Service was very slow, but that seems to be the case in general at Baha Mar. Food was just so-so.
Fair to ok food. I ordered the lobster roll and the lobster was very hard and not soft/tender. Green salad is just that, a plate full of Romain lettuce. Others in the party ordered the fried fish and said it was good. This place can get very loud and they had a DJ blasting music when we arrived.
Made a reservation, but was told we had 1 hour to dine. Wouldn’t have been an issue if we didn’t have to wait 15 mins to be seated and another 15 to take a drink order. I had the bbq nachos and mostly good, but the meat was all fat. Wife had a Caesar she loved. Kids had chicken tenders that came with fries, and another had slides that came on a plate with nothing else. Overall, too expensive for the experience and quality.
Good place to go if you want to have a beer and watch a game.
Too loud. Slow service. Not wait staff’s fault. They were good.
We made a reservation through open table for 8:45 PM. When we arrived we were seated on time, but as soon as we were seated we were told it would be an hour wait for the food. We left.
The atmosphere is fun, casual & loud. This is a good, casual, last minute kind of place. Stick to the basics though. We had salads with chicken & salmon. They were really good as was the grilled shrimp appetizer. Another night, I was in the mood for eggs for dinner & ordered an omelette-it was awful. I should’ve stuck to regular pub-fare. This place is ok, not great, but ok.
Reservations at 5 for 5, we were told on arrival that the kitchen was closed except for bar food until 6. Really?
Expensive but really good
Burgers were fine. Chicken in the chicken curry inedible... couldn't even cut through it! Everything overpriced... but every restaurant here is! The noise level was crazy!! Our server was very nice, that's the only good thing I can say about this place.
Our recent stay at Baha Mar included eating at each and every restaurant on the property. My wife and I have both attended culinary programs and both are foodies and love to cook. We have enjoyed meals all over the world and in a wide range of settings. From small "dives" to the most expensive world-renowned establishments. We were fortunate enough to take a 12-day break and stay at the SLS Baha Mar for the past two weeks. About the Swimming Pig...In a word it is fun. The food is well prepared and very good. It has a lively Pub type feel with great music and several large TV'S to keep your eye on the latest sports match ups. Very vibrant with great energy. If you plan to go between 5pm-9pm you should make a reservation ahead of time. It is easy on Open Table. After 9 pm without a reservation, it seemed pretty easy to get a table. The drinks are large and very well done as well. My wife and I ate there twice and the service from prompt seating to the timing of the meal was perfectly done each time. Considering that the property itself is relatively new and they are still working out some of the processes (which is normal) given the volume they are doing at the Swimming Pig we give them a 10 out of 10 for our experiences with them for food taste and preparation, flavorful drinks, detailed and timely service, and energy. Highly recommended. We must also mention that our server Precious was amazing. She was one of the best servers we have ever had. Great eye on timing and detail and a real asset for the Swimming Pig. The menu has quite a wide range and without a doubt there something great for everyone to enjoy. As for sweets and desert amazing as well. The chocolate gelato was incredible. You will enjoy your experiences here for sure. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year! Thank you to everyone at the Swimming Pig! Great team!

Wonderful service. Food options were excellent. Fun atmosphere.
Service was good but ridiculously expensive for standard pub food. They add a 15% fee on to the bill as a service charge just for being in the resort.
Nice place for quick bite. Fun decor, good place for drinks , bar food and just hang out. Stick with the basic bar food, all else is just okay.
Love this place. Great food and ambiance.
Amazing food and the staff is incredible, so nice and personable!
