The bartender was outstanding It is a shame he did not have a name tag so I could tell you who he was Handcrafted watermelon and espresso martinis were absolutely delicious. We had bar food which was absolutely delicious. We had bar food which was absolutely delicious. A sausage burger sandwich with caramelized onions and a beef pie. What a difference a year makes The service the food and especially the drinks have improved 100 fold
Not so special food. Our waitress was not friendly.
Server all 3 times we have been in here doesn’t ever come back to check on drink refills. Always end up asking another server for our ticket after waiting along time with no sight of our server
A steak sandwich consisted of a huge roll, of odd consistency, and about 1/6lb of some weird meat that resembled a Steak-um from the grocery store freezer. Very disappointing. The lobster quesadilla was more plentiful, but lobster was rubbery with no flavor.
We went in without a reservation and they told us it was going to be an hour and a half wait but there were so many tables open. So we left and I went on opentable and it
said there was a reservation in 15 minutes so I booked it. After 15 minutes we went back and got seated right away. Our alcoholic drinks took forever to come (I think she forgot about them). And the food was just ok. I got a burger and I’ve had better fast food ones than that one. The nachos were good though.
This is located on a upper scale resort where you typically will pay more to eat. While this is true the prices were reasonable and you could find a variety of items on the menu without going broke. Portions were good as was the service.
Have reservations at least a day ahead. Why? I’m not sure-it’s like a big sports bar. Loud/big screens everywhere and okay food to boot. I just think all of Baha Mar is like this. Loud/club like/Vegas meets the beach atmosphere. Food is ok - nothing that wowed me. Expensive but knew this going in to it. Best value food so far at Baha Mar has been the food trucks/huts down by the beach.
Consistent food and service.
Went there with my 4 yr old for breakfast and the food never came out...we left...apparently they can only cook one order at a time...that is what the waitress said
Excellent service. Our waitress was phenomenal and did everything to assist our every need. She was a sweetheart. I will definitely be back on my next vacation!
We were underwhelmed by the food. We were also told that they ran out of fish and chips after waiting 30 minutes for the meal to arrive. The best part of the meal were the sweet potato fries
Over priced !! Out if desserts!! For was not good!!
Went w my 4 yr old here...waited 1.5 hrs for food, nothing came out...totally mismanaged...disgrace...the worst part is nobody cares...they told me they can only cook one order at a time...not kidding...
Food was great. Service was quick. Would go again.
I'm totally ok paying a premium when at a vacation resort but I expect decent food and service. This place was just lacking across the board and $18 for a ham sandwich with an egg (croque madam) and no sides is a bit ridiculous.
Good service, but the food was terrible, fetters and fish and chips, deep fried, and greasy, and the burger was very poor made.
Celebrating son good grades.
It seems they are still having growing pains. We had a reservation but was told it would be a thirty minute wait. Fortunately we only had to wait about 15 minutes. They really need to reconsider the stools that they have at the tables, they seem unnecessarily tall and our incredibly uncomfortable. We ended up having the buffalo conch burger and the New York sandwich. The New York sandwich meat seemed fairly low quality and the herb aioli was just mayo. The buffalo conch burger seemed like it was overly greasy and the batter had fallen completely off. They had a DJ playing which seemed odd because there was no dance floor and the hotel does a club on property, just seemed unnecessary.
Ordered a dry martini; after a long wait full of olive juice. Waitress didn’t know the difference, even though they have them separated on the menu. Nachos were weird, with what appeared to be velveta squirted on them.
Food was pretty good excellent Pub Burgers but needed more menu items to choose from. Very nice ambiance and deco , casual chic. VIsited location at Baha Mar and the prices are kind of expensive but by far more reasonable than other restaurants at the hotel.
Service is extremely slow!!! My friend and I ordered burgers, and they were just okay. Disappointing visit.
Love the pig. Great value good food for everyone
Amazing food and service. We loved it and will be back.
We had dinner at a table then moved to the bar to watch the game. Our service at our table was quick and she was very nice. However, the bar was slow. They forgot my glass of water and took 10 minutes to get a server to get our check.
Once we finally got service the service was quite good but we sat therefor a good 15-20 before any server approached the table
Food was average for the price
went for a quick bite and then eventually went back again, food was o k and service a little slow, nut overall would go back again
We went for Sunday brunch, and it was early enough that the restaurant was relatively empty. All around a notable experience; however, our server seemed to forget about us on a few occasions. When she was present at our table, wonderful service and knowledgeable about the menu and its offerings, but once she left our tableside, it became 'out of sight, out of mind'.
Prettiest “sports bar”. Great food.
We have dined at Swimming Pig several times during our stay at Baha Mar for breakfast and dinner and have had great experiences each time. For breakfast, definitely try the waffles with fresh berries, blueberry pancakes and bagel with smoked salmon. For dinner, highly recommend the pretzel encrusted fried calamari, seafood linguini and Margherita flatbread. Precious was our waitress for 2 dinners and she was attentive and friendly. She even remembered us when we came back!
Do not eat here, horrible ! Calamari was so chewy we couldn’t even eat it. The tuna tacos had stale shells with a piece small of tuna inside that was about the size of a grape if not smaller. The lobster rolls had so much onion and were overly seasoned you couldn’t even taste the lobster, not to mention the entrees came out before the appetizers! When the staff asked why we didn’t eat the calamari we said we didn’t like it but they did not take it off the bill,so not sure why they cared to ask us.
The food and service was great here. A Group of 9 of us on vacation at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas. Would definitely recommend eating here.
It took quite a while to get a server and when we finally got a server he was a bit rude and unprofessional.
Food was incredible and our waitress was the best... wish we got her name so we could give her a shout out because she flat out rocked!
had very good food esp the conch soup of the day which was great! place is waaaaay too loud for us. if they turn the volume down about 60% we'd go back. decibel level was high pain.
Very good food and selection here.
We had the sky juice drink, the tuna tacos , the short rib nachos and jerk flat bread I would probably pass on the tuna tacos since Tuna is good but only get a little meat and alot of shell.
Otherwise everything great.
The service is outstanding. The food was too good being a first time customer and for a birthday dinner celebration. They really made sure we was doing ok with everything that we had gotten .
We put in our kids order first (the waitress offered) and it came out within 15 minutes. About 5-10 minutes after putting in the kids’ order we put in ours. After waiting 45 minutes without any food and no status we asked another server what was going on and she went to find out. A few minutes later a third server came over and said, “There is a problem with the system and your order was never put in, what was it again?”. After telling her our food came out within 20 minutes and we ate - by this point both kids were tired and unhappy (as were we!) At no point was the word “sorry” ever uttered nor was there any offer to take anything off the $120 bill. I should have pushed but we were all tired. This was our first night in Hyatt Baha Mar and first time trying the Swimming Pig. I had thought we would probably eat there a lot this week but now we will not go back.
Service was pretty good at Swimming Pig in comparison to other restaurants at Baha Mar; challenge is a 15% gratuity is already included in all purchases so there is no incentive for good service. Food at Swimming Pig was good, both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast sandwich was good; pancakes were good; waffle was rubbery. Lunch/Dinner the lamb burger and fish 'n chips were very good. Biggest problem was they continued to run out of tapped beers yet never got new kegs; they kept saying kegs were being changed but never were for the 6 days we were there! Same situation with the Monkey Bar, none of their 6 beer taps worked the entire 6 days we were there; the standard answer was "they were being changed" but never were :(. Also for dinner the Swimming Pig played very loud club music; it's supposed to be a laid back sports bar, not a DJ and club. It was hard to even enjoy watching games with club music playing loudly. We gave up and left immediately after dinner as no beer and club music.
Terrible miscommunication between waitstaff and kitchen. Appetizers came out 20 minutes apart, and the entrees were delivered while we were still eating our appetizers. Servers walked around confused about which tables ordered which meals. Food was very good but the staff was poorly trained.
