   Nice welcome, friendly team, good atmosphere. Food not as good as the other times we have been. Beef overcooked, not enough veg, overcooked stuffing and tasteless Cauliflower mornay. Real shame.

   We had a lovely lunch at the Swan at Salford. Great food and very good service. A very enjoyable lunch.

   Another great experience at the Swan, Salford. Outside on their garden, crab tart, great Sunday roast pork with stuffing. More than you could eat and still they offered more roast potatoes and/or Yorkshire Pud. Delicious.

   We regularly come here as food is always fabulous. Service can be hit and miss depending on who is on, but today was shocking. We were the only people in the restaurant and felt like an inconvenience. We had to ask for everything and ended up paying on the app to leave. If this was my first time I would not be back. Not sure what happened but it wasn’t good. Also - it’s lovely to have all the doors open in the summer but the hundreds of flies around our table, not so good 🤢

We are deeply saddened to hear your visit wasn't to the usual standard we normally uphold ourselves to. Being an old establishment we unfortunately do not have any air conditioning and try our best to make a comfortable environment for all of our guests by opening up the doors and windows. However being in a rural area this does welcome unwanted guests like the flies. I would personally like to welcome you back for a main course on us to experience the service we strive ourselves on.    Everything was lovely, except our waitress did not bother to ask about dessert nor bring the menu back, so we just left.

   I’ve been coming to this place many times over the years and my last review was very good. Unfortunately today I had to leave before I could order the food. Standards were low today, certainly below what I expect from this place. The table we sat at was very sticky to touch, service was abrupt and invisible and I could see through into the kitchen and didn’t like what I could see in terms of hygiene. My partner and I walked out. I’d have mentioned it to the staff but they were not visible. It wasn’t that busy.
