   I have eaten in the Swan on numerous occasions and the standard of food is deteriorating rapidly. The menu isn’t very inspiring and the prices have been rising for what is now very average pub grub. The staff have always been nice, welcoming & attentive, but the fayre they are serving is letting them down. The owner has definitely taken his eye off the ball with this pub, as he focuses on other more high profile ventures.

   I have been to the swan many times, but not lately until Sunday. I had brought my son and daughter in law who were visiting England from Taiwan and wanted to take them to the Swan as I had always enjoyed Sunday roast and fish and chips there and sun your praises. Unfortunately I was disappointed as the food was definitely not as good as it used to be. I thought the dessert choice was very limited and did not enjoy the Sticky Toffee sponge as it was far too sweet.

   Lovely atmosphere and creative food options. Reasonably quiet at lunch time but suits a conversational meal.

   The pub has a lovely feel about, being cosy, warm and friendly. The staff are welcoming, polite and helpful. We found the menu prices expensive for what you got. Both ordered burgers which were cooked to individual preferences and were quite tasty but not much above the ordinary. The chips had been sprinkled with rosemary salt but otherwise were pretty ordinary. Desserts are expensive...we shared one....it was delicious.

   Lovely main course and scrummy dessert but the service wasn’t great on this occasion and it was very cold in the restaurant.
