Lovely food, friendly service, efficient staff, and they have excellent Covid precautions in place. A great experience for meeting up with family.
The staff were all very pleasant and the service was good. I ordered cod mornay with spinach and hasselback potatoes. The fish was very good but the so called spinach had no taste at all - I could have been eating anything. Similarly the potatoes were soft and tasteless and an unusual variety which were purple. When my meal arrived both the waitress and I thought thy were burnt. Not my idea of a roast potatoe. The mornay sauce was very thin, almost like some warm milk had been poured over the fish. On the brighter side my husbands fish and chips were excellent and the manager came to talk to us and made no charge for my meal.
Amazing food, amazing service
Great tasty menu and something for everyone, lovely calm atmosphere with friendly staff, we had a really nice evening, thank you.
Good service and a nice atmosphere once it filled up, but the food was unfortunately hit and miss. A shame as have previously had good meals there. Hopefully a bad day!
Always lovely. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Love Ronnie !! Felt very festive . Love The Swan
It was good to see that everyone was observing social distancing . Food was great, staff were really helpful and friendly
Our main meal was not up to your usual high standards sadly . Our soup was warm, not hot and the burger lackedits usual additions of onion, tomato etc. We missed the homemade sauce and chunky chips in a basket that we loved so much before lock down.
Have you changed your chef? We usually eat with you once a week and have never been disappointed before.
A varied menu with much local produce. Service was friendly and attentive, thank you!
Excellent venue. Great food and ambience. Definitely be going again when able.
Food was fantastic and staff very attentive. Great ambiance even in these times. Would highly recommend.
Good variety and quality of food reasonable priced. Dog friendly with kids menu.
Service was a little slow as they were busier than anticipated (but half term - so should they have anticipated that? Maybe!). Food was great. We were near a fairly loud table of ladies which was a bit distracting. Food was good and staff friendly. Covid systems seemed fairly effective, although waitress needs to wear mask over mouth AND nose. Will we go back? Yes, if passing.
Only good for drinks. Food over priced and underwhelming.
Beautiful old pub, really lovely staff and a great Sunday roast
Staff were very friendly but it was incredibly noisy and the food was both very expensive and not very tasty.
Friendly, accommodating, lovely food presentation.
Great, interesting food well presented. Staff engaging and knowledgeable
We had a lovely time whilst at the pub the waitress was very nice and professional. Food was very good but my wife was sick on the way home and overnight after eating the chicken. So not a great ending to what was a lovely start at a pub restaurant we’ve been to many times.
If my memory serves me right there was no vegan option.
Overall disappointing.
Stewart.
We were met by a waitress who wasn't wearing a mask/visor; they had run out of orange juice when we asked for orange juice and when we ordered coffee at 8.45 we were told they had shut down the coffee machine for the day; all in all not a wonderful experience; we were in a small room with two tables and the table next to us had a very loud noisy group of people who would have been better to be seated in their larger room
Good service all Covid safe. The fish and chips were outstanding, excellent quality fish and the accompanying lentils a interesting and tasty change from the usual peas.
Our first visit today. Super busy! Staff were so so lovely and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Very friendly and very welcoming. Keen to support you considering the covid 19 regulations. Food is good vfm and well presented. Will revisit soon.
Lovely Sunday Roast, wonderful wine and great service.
Covid entry to The Swan excellent. Clear signage and sanitising stations available. I went to the gents toilet and it was excellent. Service ok but waitress had to go back twice to establish some menu items as she didn’t know what they were e.g. Pie of the day. One of the main courses was slightly undercooked but was ok. However no one came near us to tell! Overall we liked the place but there is room for improvement!
Can’t fault this place. The staff are super friendly, food is yum, always give plenty of gravy for roast which is a bonus. It’s clean and well decorated. Good for kids too.
Nice lunch in the garden. Food and service were very good.
Food was really good and the service was great, couldn’t fault it. The only reason for not giving full marks on the food was because they’d ran out of a few things we would have liked but there were other options and what we had was great.
it is one the best places to eat in Forest Row. It has a great selection of wine produced at it's own vineyard in Kent
Staff were lovely, food was great and beer was good too.
Really great! Everything.
My friend and I enjoyed a nice meal at the Swan and had a good chat to the staff who were very friendly and I am sure we will return sometime in the future

Friendly, welcoming and really good food!
Would recommend to anyone in the village
the downside was the popularity of The Swan and several dishes had sold out; the table next to us was all men and they were noisy
Good service, good atmosphere and covid safe during these times. But very very limited menu, was disappointed in lack of choice. Saying that, what we had was immensely tasty and enjoyed it very much
Lovely food, well presented and good value for money.
Staff were amazing, chef came to our table to advise us what was in the menu, food was great. Sat inside to eat, then went outside to finish our drinks. Great place to go.
There is a limited menu which is fair enough but they had run out if burgers and fish and chips. This really isn't good as there isn't much on the menu you'd think they would make sure they have everything in stock. Apart from that the service was great and the food we did have was excellent.
Food very good plus for me as a vegan. Service was confused at the beginning & not clear as to whether order at bar or wait for service in the garden. I said i had left my phone with the app at home. Plus there was no evidence of any staff supervision...it needed to be sharpened up....particularly as they are doing offers plus need the locals to come back..
It was my first vista to The Swan... I’ll be back again
