Our waitress was very nice, but the food was quite slow to arrive, and when it did, we got the appetizers just a couple minutes before our meals. They were very apologetic, and gave us a round of drinks on the house. The food was excellent! Atmosphere was nice (view of the sunset), but it could use some more greenery (palm trees or plants). It’s a bit stark at this point.
Food, setting, and service were excellent. Crab cakes were among the best I’ve ever had. Only reason why we didn’t give more stars is that much like the entire Dewey Beach community we observed, 100% respect for COVID-19 was not readily apparent. Management was very responsive when we pointed out where enhancements could be made—so we were very appreciative and hopeful that as they summer progresses, they’ll be at the top of their game. But again—the whole Dewey vibe outside of this restaurant as we drove through town was totally dismissive of taking social distancing/masks to prevent potential spread of the virus
The Sunset Deck is a great place to see a sunset. The music was entertaining. The reservation system worked perfectly. The food was tasty, nothing awesome but tasty. More importantly the waiter and service was fabulous. During this Covid period I felt totally safe having dinner at The Sunset Deck.
My date and I had fun! We definitely enjoyed ourselves. The hostess was extremely nice and took us to our table immediately. It was a nice setting, super close to the water. There were fireplaces around that had extra seating which we thought was cool. I had a glass of Prosecco and my date had an orange crush, both were good. We started with the buffalo shrimp which came out quickly. They were delicious! Definitely the best part of the meal. I ordered the Spicy Thai Salmon which came with a rice medley and broccoli and my date ordered the burger they had on the menu. I didn’t try his burger.. but he finished it all! (He enjoyed it.) As for the salmon, I’ve definitely had better at lower-quality restaurants. It was just kind’ve mediocre. However our server Viktoriya (not sure how to spell it) was phenomenal! We chatted about the restaurant industry a bit since I am a part of it as well. She was super knowledgeable on the menu, gave great recommendations and we would return just to see her!
Wonderful view and service was great. Sunset were beautiful
First evening out in months (Stay at Home directive). Great view, good food, exceptional service by Kasey!
Came here with my husband and 2 year old. We came a couple minutes before our reservation time and were seated inside. I had asked for a booster seat in the comment section of the reservation and it took the hostess almost 10 minutes to find one. I was hoping since I put it in the reservation, they would have one handy. There were people directly behind us while walking in. They got sat and got their drinks right away. It had been 15 minutes since we arrived and still haven’t seen our server. Someone asked us if we were waiting for something, but never asked us for our drink order or anything about where our server was. By this point we were already disappointed with the wait for the booster seat and for the server so we decided to leave. I usually don’t walk out of a restaurant but it’s unacceptable to keep us waiting 15 minutes ,especially with a toddler, for service.
After an 11 week pandemic it was just what the doctor called for. Distancing was good, service was good and sunset excellent!
We were nervous to try a brand new place, especially in the current phase of quarantine. We sat on the deck, the place was very clean, all the waitstaff had gloves, and masks, and disposable menus. The food was good, service was great, and kids could play by the bay while they waited for food.
